Read moreI waited a while to order due to an indecisive group on another table but once I had the laksa came really quickly (I think the waiter could tell I wasn't keen sitting around waiting on my own) and it's perhaps the best laksa I ever ate although there were no chickpeas in it like the menu said (and tofu etc cost extra).

A delight for a vegan - Edit
The sign outside, describes it as a vegan delight and it really is. I have the magical mushrooms with mashed potato, along with a body & mind juice. Freshly made, well seasoned and tasty.

This was a basement restaurant in a great location. The atmosphere was dark and gloomy. Probably better for evening than lunch. The Omnis I was with had trouble finding something appealing. Food was healthy though!

The service was alright, but the food didn't live up to the reviews. Not many vegetables for a place that's supposed to be focused on health and the taste just wasn't it. Could've done with either more seasoning or more veggies and focusing on the ingredients' raw taste.

I went for lunch and liked it so much I went back for dinner on the same day! I tried many of the salads and raw dishes, and they were all great!

Good food, but long waiting time & dark mood - Edit
We asked at the beginning that we only have about an hour for dinner, if that‘s okay for dinner or if it takes longer to prepare the dishes. The waiter ensured us that all dishes can be ready in about 15 minutes, in the end we ended up waiting for almost 45 minutes. The food was good, but by that point we sadly didn‘t get to enjoy it as much anymore. Also the restaurant is in a basement with no windows, it might be cozy at night but felt a bit uneasy while it was still bright outside.

We loved the food, staff & atmosphere. We enjoyed our meal and the food choices. It was downstairs, but didn’t feel like a basement. It was just at the entrance to Chinatown & we found it walking past after leaving Trafalgar Square to go back to our place. We would highly recommend this restaurant!

What a treat for a GF vegan! - Edit
Loved everything about Vantra - being able to eat absolutely everything on the menu with my dietary requirements (including no refined sugar) was such joy and delight for me. Food was yummy and the dessert was extra special. Can’t wait to visit London again so I can try more of the menu.

Light lunch for a lazy Sunday - Edit
A place of sanctuary from the busy Chinatown above ground, the look and feel of the basement area is enhanced by the natural wooden tables and tree-trunk seats in the waiting area. The food was excellent, being entirely wholefoods based. Always a good sign when you can't decide what to have, because everything sounds so good. Highly recommended.

It’s a funky spot in a great location, but the food left us feeling queasy afterwards. Good size portions but the flavours didn’t work (no tasty sauce) & overall was a bit gross. Sam mentioned the food stall they used to have was really yum so it’s a shame it’s gone down hill :((

Well earned ONE Star! - Edit
Where to begin? Should be ONE Star but Happy Cow defaults to automatic one because vegan. Terrible experience! Started off strong with great shake and juice which did take a good while. We finally ordered food once server returned. Only 8 diners at 4 tables and it took ONE hour to get our food. When it arrived hot food was barely warm. Flavors other than drinks were unremarkable. Several times while dining restaurant we smelt Cigarette smoke. From street or was it kitchen staff on break? Hard to tell, but when we left it smelled of smoke but no one on street at top of stairs. When meal came it was wrong. They gave us a soup instead of green salad!? They offered this gratis but it was marginal and well, not a salad. Ate the greens out and left the rest. They gave us salad to go which we ate outside. Then didn't feel well in a couple hours and was sick overnight. Would hate to be there if the restaurant was full, probably take all day to get food and service. The staff apologized. But having worked in restaurants and food safety for many years, I would say this establishment needs a serious overhaul. Diners beware!

Das Essen war geschmacklich nicht wirklich etwas für uns. Die Küche hat sowohl rohe als auch gekochte Gerichte. Ich erwarte dann aber auch, das z.B. die Soßen so aufgewärmt werden, das der "Glibber" nicht mehr in Stücken in Essen zu sehen ist.

I ordered Curry from the well balanced section in the menu and it is the most delicious curry I have ever tasted. The waitress was the one who made it and he looked pretty happy when I told him. Delicious food, enchanting staff. I will come back for sure.
