I visited Uyghur Noodles in Kallio for lunch on my final workday before summer holidays—a personal treat I had been looking forward to. Having dined here once before, I returned with high hopes, especially recalling the generous portion sizes. I opted for the Lägmän II: dry stir-fried handmade noodles with tofu, fresh seasonal vegetables, and a chilli level 2. The spicing was warm and flavourful, though I could happily have gone for level 3.

As a welcoming touch, a complimentary starter was offered. I’m not sure what everything was, but the assortment was vibrant and (I was informed) vegan, save for the dipping sauce.
The atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried, with a simple, cosy interior. The restaurant is located in the newly renovated Lyra building complex in Kallio. One small note—the floor near the kitchen area was a bit slippery, something to be mindful of. Otherwise, the setting encouraged a slow and appreciative meal, with complimentary coffee rounding off the experience nicely.

Lucky to have Uyghur restaurant around! Very good tofu läghmän and the meal size was huge. Looking forward to try the other vegan dishes!
