Vegan Pizza in Osaka! - Edit
If you're looking for incredible vegan pizza, Sukhasana is a must-visit. They do not skimp on the vegan cheese - melted, and loaded! The flavors are perfectly balanced, not too much and not too little. Highly recommended!

Thank you for visiting our restaurant.
Read moreIn Japan, many restaurants have a "Last Order" (order stop) time, and in our case, it is one hour before closing. Unfortunately, when you arrived, we had already stopped taking orders for the day.
We hope you have a wonderful time during the rest of your stay in Japan. Please take care and enjoy your trip!

The best vegan pizza! - Edit
One inevitably wonders if it's really possible that the best vegan pizza can be found in Japan, but after visiting, you simply have to agree with the other reviews. I don't know how the owner makes the cheese, but it's perfect. The appetizer was also outstanding; you should definitely try some of that as well. We easily got a table and had a wonderful evening.

Sensational - Edit
This place is incredible. Ran single-handedly by one man who seats you, takes your order, cooks and cleans up / bills you. There is a bit of a wait because of this and also he can only cook one pizza at a time, however this in no way takes from the experience.
Read moreWe ordered two appetisers whilst we waited for our pizzas and was blown away. The taste was incredible and the chef is truly very talented. The pizzas came out relatively quickly after too and they again blew us away. So tasty and the cheese on the pizzas is so good.
Be advised, the restaurant is small and it was full when we were sat and he turned away people from around 8pm even though there were seats - get there early to avoid disappointment! We arrived at 7:30pm and there was only one table left.

Woah! Calm down y’all - Edit
When my partner and I saw all the reviews of this place, we were stoked. Self proclaimed pizza professionals stating it was some of the best, if not THE best pizza they’ve ever had in their lives and to that I say - have you eaten that much pizza?
Read moreSukhasana was lovely, the atmosphere is really welcoming and gentle (despite the israeli flag that’s been allowed to exist on the walls. Zionists have no place existing in vegan spaces, as those who choose to proudly belong to a genocidal rogue state literally contradict the very principals of veganism, but enough about that). The owner/chef is so sweet and you can tell really cares about his shop. Here are my issues -
The pizza was just ok. We got a couple, and were a little shocked and confused about some of the additional ingredients that wound up on the pizza. For example, whole large pieces of baked potato wound up on the basil paste pizza, which makes no mention of potato. I’ve also never seen potato’s put on a pizza in this way, it made for a bit of an off-putting pizza eating experience. You can judge yourself from the photos attached to the review but it was quite strange.
I also must say that broccoli has no place on an ortolana.
Now the positives:
The pizza cheese was unique and really great! We also got a strawberry and marzapone (excuse me if that’s wrong) side that was actually wonderful and has since made me rethink the way that I eat strawberries. Hell yeah! Love me some new and interesting experiences.
I would love to see this little shop succeed but it definitely needs to stick to the listed ingredients on the menu, consistency is key. Also if the owner is reading this - I strongly recommend covering or removing the zionist propaganda from your walls. I’m sure that the majority of the world (our Jewish brothers and sisters included) would feel a lot better about dining there without the reminder of a genocidal apartheid regime staring at them while they eat.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your thoughts.
Read moreWhen it comes to food, I understand that tastes and preferences vary from person to person. I sincerely value your opinion and will thoughtfully reflect on it. I’m especially happy to know that you enjoyed the strawberry dish — thank you for mentioning that.
Regarding the flag, the philosophy behind my restaurant is “Everyone at the same table.” This belief extends beyond food. I hope that people of all nationalities, ages, genders, and dietary preferences can visit, feel comfortable, and leave with a sense of happiness. Creating a space where everyone feels welcome is what brings me the greatest fulfillment as an owner.
I understand that there are many different political and historical perspectives in the world. With that awareness, I have chosen to keep the flag as it is. It is not intended as a political statement, but as part of the space I have created.
I truly appreciate you sharing your feelings. Your message has given me an opportunity to reflect more deeply on many things.
I hope we may meet again someday. Until then, I sincerely wish for a more peaceful world for all of us.

Fantastic vegan pizza - Edit
Three days in Osaka, and had to visit this restaurant after seeing numerous reviews claiming it has the best vegan pizza in Japan. And… they might be right! Great pizza, and lovely staff. They got the smoked tempeh to taste just like bacon on the tempeh and tofu pizza, perfectly cooked. Would recommend in a heartbeat. ❤️

It's SOOOO Great! - Edit
The most delicious vegan food I've eaten in a long time. The crust was crispy, the toppings were tasty, and lucky us, mushrooms were in season. Freshly cooked right there by the owner, Junji, who is so nice, such a fun person. I noticed that he had a jar of ginger fermenting, and, upon request, he made some excellent ginger amasake for me.

Amazing all vegan Italian! - Edit
I was iffy about stopping at an Italian place while on my first trip to Japan but the high reviews made me try. It’s a tiny shop all run by one person, with their lil kitchen right in the shop for you to see them preparing everything. It’s very impressive and it’s clear so much heart is put into this all-vegan place. We had the margherita pizza, bolognese pasta and peanut sauce cauliflower steak. The pizza was delicious (similar to traditional Italian pizza very thin and wood fired.) but the cauliflower was actually my fav, the sauce was unique and so delicious. (In my top 2 cauliflower steaks along with Gordan Ramsey restaurant but this obv gets more points for being fully vegan and passionately run!) We both found the pasta to be way too salty but otherwise really great. Had a nice glass of wine. Probably would’ve got dessert but didn’t since everything took some time since it’s all run by one person. Unique experience, I’d definitely return!

Amazing FULLY vegan Pizzeria! - Edit
Best vegan pizza we have ever had! The cheese (it’s all melted) and toppings are so tasty. One of our pizzas came with vegan meats and the flavor was amazing. The sauces are rich and the pizza crust was so crispy and delicious. We would loved to have eaten here again but the owner has very limited hours (it’s understandable). He’s the only one there—taking orders and baking the pies. He was super friendly and very polite. This place is a 10/10! Loved that it’s fully vegan!
