Best 100% vegan in all metro Detroit - Edit
I wish unburger was a chain!! Dearborn is too far from me! If there was one in Detroit I’d eat here a few times a week! Unfortunately I do not get to drive all the way out to Unburger very often but when I do it’s so worth it everytime!!! Everything is so great , house made burger patties, chili cheese fries are my favorite ! I regularly crave them!!! The kombucha on tap, desserts, nachos. All great!!

what a cool experience! the thought and care that they’ve put into the place really shows. my boyfriend can’t stop asking if we can go get unburger again. i thought the black bean burger was good but i would probably try something else next time, same goes for the shake😋 the kombucha was next level though like some of the best i’ve had

Enjoyed my chili dog with fries and milkshake. Always fun to have access to vegan comfort food. I think I would have enjoyed it more if the food was warmer but I ordered ahead so that’s probably why.

I'm grateful for this place. They make their meats from pea protein and not soy. The unburger was really good. The kombucha was phenomenal. The shake was amazing. The chikn nuggets were delicious as well even after microwaving them the next morning. Love this place, I hope it can be franchised. Otherwise I'll just keep traveling to Detroit to get some

I had the Chick'n Bac'n Ranch and omg it was delicious and big! I also had the hippie hash. I'm visiting from Florida and wish we had one there!

In town visiting, and everyone dispersed to grab their own burgers. I read a review that compared this joint to Slutty Vegan. Harrumph, don't tell me twice! I got the buffalo chick'n sandwich and it slayed. Will absolutely go back! (I still like SV better, but this was real good...)

As a soy-intolerant vegan, it’s always a challenge to find good options. I had the Maple Mustard Chick’n sandwich and it was amazing. My partner got a Smoky Sweet BBQ burger, which was approaching the best vegan burger I ever had. Move over Slutty Vegan! Shots fired!

The Literal Best Burger I've Ever Had - Edit
This burger was a religious experience. This burger would have turned me vegan if I wasn't already. I cannot possibly explain how good this Smoky Sweet BBQ burger was. I had a bite of my husband's The Unoriginal and it was the second best burger I've ever had after the Sweet BBQ burger. Unbelievable. Bring anyone you need to prove to that vegan food is better than omni food to this establishment.

Wonderful service and very helpful with ideas since it was our first time here. We got the buffalo ranch chick’n sandwich, an Oreo shake, BBQ chick’n fries and a handful of fries. So tasty and we can’t wait to come back. If you’re in town this place is a MUST try!!

Unburger Grill is a small location with a big punch. Do not let the petite size of the restaurant full you, this is a legitimately delicious vegan American-style burger shop in Detroit, MI.
Read moreI have tried the "Unoriginal" (their signature burger). It was a large sandwich with a soft, spongy bun, double the impossible patties, and vegan cheese. A classic double patty cheeseburger. It was delectably messy. If anything, I might try a smaller sandwich next time as the amount of impossible meat made it difficult to eat. I had a side of mac& cheese that was a little disappointing in its blandness. Next time I will stick to the classic fries.
When I visited, I was able to talk to the cashier about other vegan options in the city, as well. They seemed very knowledgeable and kind to direct me to other good eats nearby.
Looking at Unburger Grill's website they are in the process of updating their menu. When I visited they had a plethora of toppings on burger and "chicken" sandwiches. I am not able to visit that often since I come from the other side of the state, but I hope to pay another sojourn when the new menu comes out.
