Vegan Brazilian option - Edit
Love that they have vegan Brazilian options, it personally was a little heavy and oily for my taste. I ordered one of the most popular pastels (fried pastry dough filled with savory ingredients) filled with cheese, ham, scrambled tofu, peas, a strange mix. I also ordered one of the desserts called a dream, like a sweet pastry filled with chocolate and pb and powdered sugar on top. You’ll definitely need a walk to digest after eating here.

There is a really big menu with pastry items with different fillings, savory and sweet. It was new for me! Quite tasty, but I wish there were more veggies. It was a lot of cheese and fake meat.

As anyone traveling to Brazil knows, English is hard to come by and Um Sonho de Coxinha is no exception. Thinking they sold Coxinhas only, I ordered 4 but realized when it arrived that I ordered their huge 23CM Pastels. Although it was a massive amount of food, it was all delicious and a happy accident.
Read moreTake note their pastels are bigger than any other I've seen or had around Sao Paulo, so plan to go hungry. Unfortunately, I haven't tried their Coxinha yet. Looking back at the menu, their pastels are the main attraction with an entire page of options.

É até estranho ter tantas opções de sabores. Eu comi o pastel de sonho de valsa, absurdamente gostoso. E meu namorado comeu o jardineira, salgado, e também amou. Os pastéis são grandes (23cm) e o difícil é saber qual pedir, mas a atendente é super simpática e tira todas as dúvidas.

Freshly prepared pastels, salgados, and pastel do sonho (“cream” and chocolate). I ordered the pizza pastel and it did not disappoint. Don’t sleep on this place, it’s truly delicious mouth watering food. I even got an extra pizza pastel to go for later on. The salgados were really good and each bite had a different flavor to offer. The person taking the order spoke really good English and really wanted to help to ensure the best dining experience. They do have outside tables and chairs, with extra table and chairs that can be set out at any point on request. This is a solid 5 star review. I hope they continue to grow as a business.
