Einfach der Hammer! - Edit
War jetzt zweimal in kürzester Zeit hier, einfach weil es super lecker ist. Deshalb am besten reservieren, denn hier wird der Laden selbst unter der Woche eingerannt. Das ist Sushi ist Wahnsinn! Also absolut empfehlenswert.

Das Essen im Udum ist wirklich sehr gut, insbesondere die Saucen sind herausragend. Man erlebt dort vietnamesische Küche auf einem hohen Niveau, das sich deutlich von vergleichbaren Restaurants der Stadt abhebt. Auch die Präsentation der Speisen ist sehr gut.
Read moreEdit: Bei einem weiteren Besuch war ich nicht wirklich zufrieden mit meiner gewählten Bowl mit Tempeh. Doch die Speisen meiner Begleitungen waren super lecker - einfach nicht so gut gewählt von mir. Dennoch war ich etwas enttäuscht.
Das Restaurant hat viel Zulauf und ohne Reservierung muss man mittlerweile auch etwas Glück mitbringen, um einen Platz zu bekommen. Das Interieur ist sehr stimmig und bietet eigentlich alles, um sich fallen zu lassen und länger zu verweilen.
Was mich etwas gestört hat, aber auch sicherlich nicht zu vermeiden ist, ist dass man als Gast auch etwas von der Hektik/dem Stress des Servicepersonals mitbekommt und manche dadurch selbst weniger lange bleiben als sie es eigentlich würden. Um nicht missverstanden zu werden: Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend, bemüht sich allen Gästen einen Platz im Restaurant anbieten zu können, nimmt Bestellungen sehr schnell und gewissenhaft auf und die Speisen werden schnell an den Tisch gebracht. Doch um die Tische herum wuseln die Kellner:innen Recht flott, sodass ich mich etwas unter Druck gefühlt habe. Letztlich dürfte der Eindruck zu einer anderen Tageszeit ein anderer sein.
Das Udum ist eine glasklare Empfehlung.

We accedently went here, it was the nearest vegan place to our Airbnb. So lucky we went here. We waited for like 10 minutes at the door, untill people of the first shift were leaving. So better make a reservation. You are spoilt with choices, and everything is delicious.

Love this place so much. Beautiful atmosphere. Foods can be served as main but also as tapas. To my surprise , they serve Vietnamese mocha (with coconut condensed milk). Try it, especially in summer. You will not regret.

Mit das beste Vegane Restaurant in Köln! Wir haben zu zweit mehrere Vorspeisen und die Pagoda Bowl geteilt und sind mehr als satt geworden. Es hat alles wirklich unfassbar lecker geschmeckt und sah zudem auch alles sehr hübsch und mühevoll angerichtet aus. Die Homemade Drinks sind auch zu empfehlen. Das einzig “negative” sind die Preise, allerdings bei Inflation und so einem zentralen Standort auch vollkommen in Ordnung. Kann es wärmstens empfehlen.

Fantastic choice - I wanted to try everything. The restaurant is also really aesthetically pleasing with fabulous, clean toilets. The staff were friendly and the food tasted great.
Read moreI wouldn't choose the wonton soup again because of the texture of the inside on the wonton but it was still tasty. One of my favourites was the tofu wrapped in some sort of leaf. We tried the mochi and the dumpling deserts and both were super lecker!
The baby chair was also extremely clean which is often not the case.

Es ging super schnell und war lecker. Eins von 4 Gerichten hat uns leider nicht ganz geschmeckt und war etwas fettig. Dafür gibt's nächstes Mal eine riesen Auswahl um anderes zu probieren.

Loved the flavors they manage to make here, you can get either small dishes or bowls and they also have sushi (which we didn’t try). I’d especially recommend the bao buns with seitan!

Between a variety of Maki, I tried a rare variation and was not disappointed. A delicious vegan Maki version surprised me, which was beautifully prepared and served. So was the main dish, a Ramen soup. My friend enjoyed the running chicken as a starter very much. Very recommendable. Fast and friendly service & atmosphere.

Absolutely incredible food. Not too spicy, but flavourful and fragant. We shared the Buddha bowl, with three of the thai tapas dishes (green curry, spring rolls and coconut salad) and white rice. The coconut salad was similar to a papaya salad, but not as spicy and extremely tasty.

Had two tofu dishes and in both the tofu was cooked perfectly. Such flavour. Their jasmine tea was amazing too with added Goji berries. Ate a lot of food but it didn’t make me feel too full either. Recommend the Buddha bowl.

Everything we got was delicious. Flavors are amazing. I recommend the bowls and the fried shrimp appetizer that comes with wasabi sauce. It gets crowded here, when on a Tuesday. I recommend making a reservation or coming in the early evening.
