Told us non-vegan food was vegan

The staff indicated that the vegetable patala was vegan and I ate it many times over several years. They updated the menu to include allergen information which said it contained dairy, so I asked them and they confirmed it had never been vegan, but they told me it was because there was only a little ghee in it. They were unconcerned about the upset this caused.
