Always a sucker for anything bright, colourful and rather kitsch, it was almost a foregone conclusion that I would be lured into this vibrantly fronted coffee shop.
Read moreOnce inside, the good vibes continued to flow - the equally bombastic interior, with decals preaching peace, love and coffee did nothing to dissuade me that I wasn’t in the right place. Nor did the equally charismatic staff, who were delightfully helpful and tolerated me despite my nonexistent grasp of the local language.
After much pointing, I took my seat and, miraculously, all I had vaguely gestured at magically appeared before me - most intriguing of which was the tofu chocolate cake. Any fears that I had harboured that it might be cloying were soundly dispelled after the first bite. Its silken texture was a thing of pure joy and quite simply, one of the greatest such bakes I’ve ever had.
More excellence awaited in the form of the marvellous banana bread. Somehow robust and satisfyingly dense, yet crumbly and light all at once, it too was a fine example of its kind.
Not to be outdone by its confectionery counterparts, the iced oat latte was exquisite, and easily ranked as the best I’ve had in an exceedingly long time.
If I had more time in the city, I would have been back here without a shadow of a doubt.

Two options - Edit
Unfortunately only two options which were quite similar, a chocolate covered coconut "stick" and a chocolate covered peanut "stick". While they were quite good I'd have appreciated something else also. At least they were labelled clearly.

There was only one vegan cake on offer at the time of my visit, which was a vegan chocolate mouse and was very clearly labelled. Staff were friendly and explained the alternative milks that they had on offer too.

Had the blueberry tart, but that was dissapointing. Hoped for a chocolate bottom and it was all nuts & fruit. It was still good, but not worth the money in my opinion
