A reference in Kyoto

The food is great, but it's a bit on the expensive side, though. Be prepared to wait in line, as it's a pretty popular place.

Beautiful and Delicious Labor of Love

The food is delicious and the space is artful and enjoyable to be in. We ate at the bar, which gave us a good view of the decor. I ordered a strawberry cocktail (yum!) and kimbap. My husband ordered bibimbap that was so good. There are 2 employees, the owners, so expect a wait and relax.

Pros: Ambiance, Cocktail, Bibimbap

More taste, less waste 👍

Tu Casa earns top marks for food, service, atmosphere, and ethics. Food-wise, they take the “do just a few things and do them really well” approach, to great effect. The Korean-inspired food is tasty, fresh, and healthy, with just enough variety on the menu that most folks will find a sweet spot. Service is warm, helpful, and multilingual. The atmosphere is charming, cozy, and relaxed. And their compassionate, low-waste ethics make me feel joyful about giving them business.

Recommended. Enjoy!

Excellent 3 courses!!!

Lovely sushi role, and then bbq bowl with kimchi, and then split a couple of deserts! Very pleasant surroundings, excellent food, and a wonderful restaurant and ethos to support. Home some home-made lemongrass gin!

Pros: Rainbow Roll, BBQ bowl, Ethos

Amazing food, friendly staff

Small restaurant with a few Korean favorites along with coffee, cakes, and cocktails. We had the vegan bbq bowl and soups and cake. Everything was delicious! They are focused on zero waste and even let you order less food so there is nothing wasted.

The main dishes were nice (portions just a bit small 🥲), but the cakes were incredible!!! Best vegan cakes we had in the whole of Japan

So glad we gave them a try!

Decided to stop by on a whim and I’m so glad we did because the food really hit the spot. The gimbap and bbq bowl with kimchi were our favorites. Their house made drink syrups and desserts were also sooo tasty. I really appreciate their dedication and care towards the environment while still providing a cozy space that serves delicious food. One of our favorite meals in Kyoto

Very cool place, great food!

Loved this place. It’s small and filled up quickly so I recommend coming early. The bbq bowl with kimchi was great, and the lemon cake was super tasty as well. Would definitely recommend!!

Excellent food, so fresh and tasty! I love the philosophy / kaupapa that drives this vegan restaurant - to look after society, environment and animals 🧡 Diners can also order how much rice is served with their meal to minimise waste! Definitely worth visiting! 💯

So cozy and yummy!💚

What a lovely place and owners!
Loved the interior with so many plants. 🌱
The BBQ bowl was very delicious!
And I found my favourite chai latte in Kyoto here! Made only with spices and not too sweet! And the hazelnut tart reminded me of a favourite childhood treat from Germany, toffifee! 🧡
They offer bulk shopping and many other eco-friendly products.

A special place

I loved this place. The food is really good, and given that you have the possibility to choose the size of the plate, it's possible -and recommended!- to order an extra to try more of the menù. The cakes are really wonderful, too.
Apart from the deliciousness of the food, we really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the kindness of the two owners, Taka and Mini!

Pros: Delicious food, Lovely owners , In front of the metro exit

Good place with the right philosophy

The place is easy to reach, it's literally next to the subway station.
The food was superb, I tried all the 4 dishes and 2 different slice of cake: super.
The owners (Taka and Mini) are lovely, they give me some good advice about place, recipes to prepare at home, they are really awesome people.

Pros: Food , Place, Owners

Wonderful

Food was beautifully presented, super fresh and flavours were good too. The venue itself is quite small, seating only about 8-10 people, and opening hours are quite interesting.

Awesome vegan restaurant

A very cozy small restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food. I ordered the BBQ bowl which costed 1380¥. I would definitely recommend visiting this place!

As some people already mentioned, the place is quite popular yet very small. A small queue will form outside the restaurant and it takes a little while for them to prepare food for everyone. I arrived shortly after the opening time and got a seat without queueing, but a small line of people had formed on the entrance by the time I left. So not the best place if you're dying of hunger on the spot.😄

Pros: Friendly staff, Cozy restaurant, Cheap

Cons: Popular with possibly long waiting times

Great small place

Great food, with it being smaller the menu matched. However, the dishes looked great and the bbq bowl of mock meat and rice I had was delicious. I also had a made in house fermented fruit soda drink, was great, and finished off with a soya chai. Staff were very friendly would definitely come back.

Pros: Food, Staff, Ambiance

Super cute and delicious

Worth to go! (Best not at rush hour)We had a delicious pumpkin soup and the BBQ rice bowl had such amazing flavor!
Great to go for a walk at the river afterwards towards Gion.

Also after all the plastic from the seven elevens and quick meals on the go it’s so refreshing that there are places that have at heart to try to go a better route❤️ Loved to be there and I hope there will be more places like that!

Pros: Delicious, Friendly , Happy to support
