Great soup

The food is very good. The owner/chef is attentive and kind, but not overbearing. The kind of place you can casually eat great food and hardly be noticed. Depending on your day/week/personality type, that could be very appealing.

Pros: Great food, Local owner, Inconspicuous dining

Nice broth and excellent service, the portion size was a bit huge for me. We had miso ramen and soy milk ramen. Too good overall

So good

Cosy, small restaurant where the owner cooks in front of you and everything tastes AMAZING! A perfect choice even on a hot summer day (good conditioning inside).

Delicious food, great vibes

Sort of stumbled across here - the guy running the restaurant was incredibly helpful (you order via the vending machine outside and take your tickets to him inside) and was able to talk us through all vegan options available.
The food itself was unreal. So good. We also had beer and highballs out of the coldest glasses - a huge relief on a hot day.

Pros: Delicious food

Sooo delicious

Cons: 店内はカウンター席のみ

Amazing vegan ramen

Amazing choice of ramen, all vegan. Can add eggs etc if you want too. Typing as I eat to make sure I remember to recommend this. I had brilliant soy meat ramen which was a serious contender for best ramen I’ve had in Japan, my wife had the soy milk ramen which was even better. We went early evening on a weekday and had no wait. Owner speaks excellent English and is incredibly helpful and nice. Huge recommend.

Pros: Creamy soy milk ramen!, Choice, Ease

Superb ramen near Tokyo Done

Tsukemen Zuppa is one of those hole-in-the-wall places with a single bench table that you see salarymen frequenting in J-dramas. And just like in the dramas, it's a place that earns customers' loyalty by being superb at what it does.
The helpful chef, whose English is excellent, recommended the soy meat miso and the creamy soy milk broth, so we bought meal tickets for both at the machine outside. Watching him prepare them was part of the fun, with the bursts of flame as he flash fries ingredients and the many ramen cages bubbling away.
The dishes themselves were everything you could want from ramen: noodles that remain perfectly firm as you eat; fresh and crunchy vegetable toppings; and rich vegan broth full of umami. The miso is a great choice for lovers of savoury ramen, while the soy milk version perfectly marries a creamy and sweet broth with a sharp burst of chilli oil.
If you're near the Tokyo Dome, this place is well worth the 10 minute walk. I'd go again in a heartbeat.

Best plant based ramen in Tokyo

After spending a month in Japan I say their soy milk ramen was the best I had. Broth was creamy and not too sweet and tasted great with the veggies in the ramen. Noodles had the perfect texture. The broth was so delicious I wanted to enjoy every drop of it and ordered some extra noodles to finish it. Portions were fair for the price and quality.
This will be the number one spot I'll recommend for ramen in Tokyo. It's super close to Tokyo Dome too. Owner is nice and speaks English, will help you out in the machine in case you have difficulties.

Amazing

The soy milk ramen was perfect. Small seating area so you might have to wait. I sat next to a couple who aren’t vegetarian or vegan and they absolutely loved the ramen as well. Friendly owner!

Thick creamy Ramen with Kale

Need I say more? Yes? Okay then, this place rocks!

Step 1: show up.
Step 2: choose your option via the vending machine outside and pay. Yes im serious. If you arent sure ask the owner, he speaks good english.
Step 3: go inside and sit down, there are about 8 stools.
Step 4: eat and enjoy!
Step 5: Repeat 💯🙏❤

Loved!

We loved the soy milk ramen, ordered extra soy meat for both of our dishes and the meal was still not expensive. You use the machine outside but the owner is helpful and comes to the window to explain and ask if you’re vegan or veg. Im so happy that we decided to pop in for dinner!

nothing special

you have to order on the machine but the owner will help you. there are 7 seats but we were alone. i was disappointed to hear the tsukemen is "sold out" even though they only opened a few hours prior and so that was kind of weird.

the soy milk ramen is good, the miso one is a bit too strong. they all lack ingredients like protein and vegetables so really nothing special

Great shop!

We stumbled upon this place completely by chance on our first night in Tokyo—before even checking HappyCow—and it was great. It instantly became one of our favorite meals of the trip.
By the time we returned on our last night, we truly appreciated how special this place is. The chef is super friendly, which just adds to the experience.
If you’re in Tokyo and looking for amazing vegan ramen, don’t miss this spot!

One of best ramens in our trip to Japan

What a place… Please, go. The local it’s small, just 7 seats, so go early. The owner it’s amazing and can speak english.

Flavour and authenticity.

We ordered the miso ramen and the soy milk ramen. While the soy milk ramen broth was okish, the miso ramen was unbelivable. Also, here we found the best HOMEMADE noodles we’ve tried.

Don’t miss the oportunity to go.

Amazing Ramen

This was an amazing and affordable authentic ramen spot. The owner was very kind and we were impressed how well he managed everything given he does everything on his own. You order at the vending machine outside by inserting your cash or other card payment methods and then click on the ramen you want. The owner is very helpful to those who have difficulty ordering. Credit/Debit cards aren’t accepted so make sure to have cash. We didn’t have cash but went right across the street to the ATM because we didn’t want to miss out. The owner was kind and pleasant and clearly has the passion and skill. We had the miso ramen and soy milk based ramen, both amazing. So thankful the chef can accommodate to vegans/vegetarians. 10/10 recommend.

Pros: Delicious , Affordable, Kind owner

Cons: None

沾麵體驗

第一次吃到素食的沾麵
味道上ok
但是如果有帶長輩或小孩的話
建議可以幫他們點別款
因為沾麵的麵量非常非常的多
一定會吃不完

Pros: 少有的體驗, 老闆匠人精神

Hidden Gem

We had the soya milk ramen which is very lightly spicy, and absolutely delicious!!
It was the best meal I had in Japan, and we did spend a lot of money at some more fancy restaurants. I’d eat there every week if I lived in Tokyo.
My husband also tried the whisky with soda (highball) and it was much cheaper and much nicer than the other places he tried it, and he’s Scottish, so I’d trust him on that one.
Very well priced and nice chilled atmosphere. Highly recommend this little place.

Fantastic Ramen

I had struggled to find a good authentic vegetarian meal to start my time in Tokyo, used Happy Cow to find Zuppa and I am so happy. You order out the front, the menu is in Japanese but the chef came out to help me. Soy meat worked well. I may go back tomorrow to try something else.

Pros: Excellent food, Help openly offered to non Japanese speakers

So cheap and so good

You have to have cash with you. They can also make your dish vegan. It was very good. I hope they will never close (:
