Outstanding neighborhood place with cozy atmosphere - Edit
This place is fantastic. We stopped in on a blustery and cold evening after a new friend (local) recommended it to us and were not disappointed. The atmosphere is very pre tech boom Berlin, with some old DDR furniture and vintage lamps and such. They have a super cozy back room with good lighting and low music, which we had all to ourselves for the first part of our delicious meal.
Read moreThe staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu, advising on spice level and other things. They make an outstanding green chile sauce that can be added to stuff to kick it up a bit. I got the tinda chola pumpkin curry which was super tasty with a little sharpness and good heat. Salad had pickled onions and good subtle dressing, not overpowering or drenched. My wife got the palak panir, which was also super tasty, obviously made with fresh spinach, not frozen or premade anything. Paneer was perfectly prepared, crisped edges and balanced saltiness. Also got the homemade chai, made very traditional and they have several options for sweetness if you want. All items have a vegan option alternate, it’s clear vegan vs vegetarian is not an afterthought for chef.
We ended up staying for a long time and got drinks after the meal because the atmosphere was so good for such a night, and chatted briefly with our table neighbors, asking about what they got - banana curry (house specialty), also pumpkin curry - all crowd pleasers.
All in all, we will be visiting often, our new fave neighborhood discovery.
Pros: Stellar food, all made from scratch, Atmosphere is super inviting, cozy back room, Very knowledgeable staff

Amazing Indian food. Great atmosphere. And if you go you HAVE to try the vegan chocolate mousse. It's unreal.

Quality Indian Scran - Edit
So first of all, it was late lunch on a Monday and I was their only customer. But I have super high standards on Indian food, and the pumpkin curry I got was really, really solid. Actually spicy as well! Really lovely sides/sauces. Can’t comment on evenings though.
Read morePros: Everything (basically) available vegan, Super clear menu , Great food
Cons: Somewhat cluttered interior

Great place! - Edit
Cosy place with a menu divided between vegan and vegetarian options. The food is delicious, the mango-lassi is awesome and they are committed in their choices of social projects. Can only recommend!

Pretty good - Edit
Separate vegan menu. Had the soya aloo and soya korma and the mango lassi (mango smoothie drink).
Read moreSoya aloo was the tastier than the korma which had no veg except potato, bit sad but still good flavour. Very good portions. Mango lassi is delicious. Service was good but nothing special.
Pros: Separate vegan menu, English speaking staff, Big portions
Cons: Service was slightly slow, Presentation of food could be better

average food, fairly poor service - Edit
I was excited to try this place out but having done so after months of intending to I was a little let down by the food. We got an aloo palak and a soya korma - they were okay. I actually preferred the fluffy rice and yummy side salad they came with. The food was just a little flavourless - okay but nothing special.
Read moreThe mango lassis are awesome - very thick and not too sweet. The desserts are also great. The mini chocolate pot is a perfect way to finish a meal.
Service was slow and a bit distracted but in my opinion the place was understaffed - not entirely her fault.
Pros: desserts, lassis
Cons: not flavourful enough curries, service

Small menu, delicious dishes, cozy atmosphere - Edit
Tschüsch has about 5-6 dishes which can be prepared vegetarian or vegan. They are all very tasty. The waiters are of many nationalities (including German) and are all very friendly. The cook and owner is, as it should be, from India.
Read moreAs a bonus, Tschüsch hosts art and is a meeting point for left-wing political statements, asylum seeker rights and LGBT rights. It is also the perfect place for a date, whether queer or hetero, because of the coziness and decoration.
Their prices have been raised and are not anymore super cheap, but it remains a very good deal nonetheless.
Pros: Delicious dishes, OK prices, Cozy atmosphere
Cons: Small menu, Closed on Monday, Waiters need many reminders
