Excellent first trip! - Edit
Small, intimate setting, with outdoor seating available and good prices. They had good service and the food was amazing! The menu was creative and there was a lot of attention to detail on the preparation. The cocktails were tasty too. I can definitely see becoming a regular here.

I had the appetizers of hush puppies and fried green tomatoes which were amazing! For a main dish I had the “chicken” fried steak. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I will be back.

YUMMY - Edit
We have eaten here several times and have always been satisfied. They consistently change their specials so there is always a way to mix it up. I have taken meat eaters here and they really liked it. The food is flavorful and they have decent portion sizes. It’s easy to do takeout too- assuming you can find a parking spot

We had wonderful service while we were there. The food was so good and the waiter told us about the restaurant and their commitment to making their food and cheeses in house. Everything we ate, including dessert was delicious! We even ordered something to go for our drive home the next day. Yum!!

Only one item on the menu could not be made vegan, so it was difficult to choose what to try! We enjoyed our selections, and our Omni friends were happy, too. I look forward to going back to try more of their selections!

Overall not bad! - Edit
Had super friendly waitress, Rosie! She was a gem. Very friendly and chatty. Knew the menu forwards and backwards and happily answered any questions we had. We sat outside on the patio, wish there were umbrellas on every table!
Read moreAmbience is super cool/modern. Menu is nice and concise, with plenty of options! We got the chorizo tacos and the BLAST (vegan BLT) sandwich. Home fries were good, but could’ve been more seasoned. Soy milk latte was thick and creamy; delicious! Salted caramel pecan donut was good, but a bit stale.
Chorizo tacos were a bit bland, as was the BLAST sandwich. Everything could’ve used more spices and seasonings. I’ve had tempeh bacon before that was so smoky and salty and delicious and Treehouse tempeh bacon could’ve used more of that flavor profile.
Overall, not a bad option but the food wasn’t spectacular. Our waitress, the nice cool October morning and that soy milk latte were the best part of the dining experience!
Pros: Entire vegetarian and vegan menu , Vegan pastries and coffees , Eco-friendly restaurant that composts
Cons: Bland food

This is my got-go for a fancier dinner out or for an awesome brunch. They have a great cocktail list, too.

No thanks - Edit
I will never go back to Treehouse because they gave me food with an allergen, which I was clear with the waitress about. The service was awful and my body is still recovering 3 days later from the allergy attack. Treehouse offered me nothing but a “whoopsie”

I love Treehouse. We were underwhelmed with their main dishes so we just started ordering a bunch of small plates and were a lot happier. I wish they would change up their menu more frequently though.

To say this food was great is an understatement! - Edit
We shared a total of six dishes, including dessert, and every single item was seriously delicious! Brussels sprout salad is a must try! All dinner dishes are vegan (just note that you want the vegan cheese when it applies) and made from scratch. The flavors of every dish were so unique but amazingly delightful. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Delicious food! - Edit
Service was a bit slow when we first got there - I think they were a bit understaffed. I was tempted to drop stars on the review - however, the waiter apologized for the wait and the food totally redeemed every possible star. Some reviews say it is pricey - I thought prices were reasonable - 10 dollars for soup & sandwich. It probably depends on what you are accustomed to. Menu with prices are available on the website. I had the Cuban sandwich and curry soup with chickpeas - it was amazing! I would highly recommend. They have a variety of beers, wine & cocktails available.

Great ambiance! Vegetarian, but all of their sauces are vegan, so everything is easily veganizable and crazy good. Be sure to get the fried beets (SERIOUSLY) and some of their donuts (all of their pastries are vegan).

Tree House is an amazing "tree house" like restaurant located in the heart of St. Louis' international strip. Simple, sleek and spacious the restaurant is very warm. Great for family, date night, lunch or Sunday brunch. Service is spectacular you can tell the chef takes pride in both taste & presentation.

I waited almost an hour for Sunday bunch here, but it was worth the wait.
Read moreI tried the biscuits and gravy meal, and my husband tried the Tree House Slinger. We both liked our meals although I’m not a huge fan of the tofu scramble. We also ordered the fried beets— which really are a must-try— and the fresh orange&grapefruit juice. We also took some pastries to go and those were fabulous too. I haven’t had a donut in quite a long time so I’m happy.

Was looking for something sweet... found it!! - Edit
This review starts out bad... but it gets good.
Read moreWas our first time here. We sat down and we told our waitress (blonde and seemed like we were wasting her time by being there) that we would love to have dessert. She said they had donuts. Asked her what flavors... no acknowledgment that she heard my question... she just turned and walked away. A few (like 3-5) minutes later Susan comes by and asked if we were being helped. Omigosh!! She was so sweet and pleasantly chatty. We asked about the donuts and she told us what they were. We chose the blueberry Lemon donut (which was bursting in flavor) and the Chocolate Chocolate donut (dark and just a little bit bitter... which is the way I love my chocolate). It was so good that we took some home to go. And ended up eating it in the car. Anywho... thank goodness for Susan. She is a total gem and she changed our whole experience. Could have been bad... but she was sunshine in that restaurant. Will definitely go back.
Pros: Lots of vegan and vegetarian option., Susan the wonderful server. , Cool indoor seating or enjoy patio dining
Cons: Blonde waitress , No coconut milk option... only Soy, almond, hemp

What does blonde have to do with it? I find that comment offensive.

THE BEST VEGAN/VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT SO FAR - Edit
I ate vegan/vegetarian in many places before (amongst others in San Francisco, New York, Berlin, Chicago, Munich,...) but nothing compares to THE Treehouse in St. Louis!!! It is just magical. Every dish is made with love and you can definitely taste that! I recommend this to EVERYONE! Don't miss it. You can read more about it on my blog: https://soultreathappiness.wordpress.com/

i loved tree house!
Read morethe whole menu sounds amazing and i like that they offer vegan versions of a lot vegetarian dishes (besides wishing they'd go all vegan, that is).
i had troubles deciding but settled with the scrambled tofu and i'm glad i did! it was brilliant! i also had the tempeh bacon that's an option for an extra 2dollars - wouldn't necessarily order that again, but it wasn't bad.
i've also shared a salted maple and nut donut with a friend - absolutely amazing!
tree house is in a great area and everyone working there was really really nice. it was my last stop before heading on to chicago and inhad my huge backpack with me. this was no problem at all and thankfully the place is very spacey!

I always visit Tree House when I'm in STL! It's expensive, but so delicious. Often when I'm dining out, I get frustrated by ordering stuff that is easy for me to make on my own. Tree House always has extremely fresh ingredients and complex dishes. Highly recommended!

Yummy, but pricey - Edit
This place was reccomended to us by the guy on our campus tour. It was great! The staff was kind and attentive, the food was really good. Me and my mom split the BLAST sandwhich and the veggie burger. The veggie burger was pretty by-the numbers (tasted like two slices of tofurkey), the vegan mayo made it mucj better. The BLAST sandwitch was really good. It unspired a new love for tempeh bacon. It had plenty of yummy veggies. We got the chocolate doughnuts (vegan) for desert. They were really yummy! Good place to get a bite, but not as hipster as it thinks it is.

Tree House is a lovely restaurant, with simple decor and delicious food. We had the charcuterie board, banh bao chay dumplings as appetizers, and the wild mushroom stuffed ravioli (vegan cheese is extra), seitan katsu and a paella. The revioli and katsu were excellent. Dessert was a chocolate mousse. This is a very welcome restaurant.
