Open Tue-Fri 11:00am-2:30pm, 5:00pm-8:30pm, Sun 11:00am-2:30pm, 5:00pm-8:30pm. Closed Mon. Kitchen closes 8.30pm.

Got Tian Ci via Uber eats tonight. They gave me a free apple, So cute. I got the veggie beef fried noodle and it’s delicious but the beef tastes abit off, I’m not sure what it is but not a fan. I’m definitely going to try all mock meat dishes though as all the other reviews are great!! I also got the chicken satay skewers and they’re perfect 😍 will definitely keep supporting this place😄

Reading all the really positive reviews on here I am not sure if I just caught this restaurant on a bad night, but it wasn't that great. I ordered the sweet and sour (vegan) pork with some plain rice, spring rolls and red bean desert. I'm currently in hotel quarantine so this was a delivery.
Read moreThe sweet and sour sauce was pretty bland and really watery and while the pork was OK, it tasted kind of soggy around the edges, like it was meant to be deep fried and then covered in sauce but it tasted like it had been in the sauce way too long - again, this may have just been a delivery issue.
the spring rolls were average and the desert was super greasy.
I was also bummed about the amount of plastic that this came with - all the plastic containers were wrapped in cling film and they gave me lots of plastic cutlery that I didn't want or need.

Read moreThere is a front area and a more dimly lit back 'yard' area, with heaters for the colder times. It is really cosy.
The service is friendly, immediate and the girls don't miss a beat.
The menu is extensive and covers every food desire.
There is a mixed vegetable curry that I find hard to get past. It is fresh and so aromatic. The 'squid and pepper tofu is also a favourite. And the 'Peking Duck'. And the fried rice!
But seriously you could experiment with this menu for a year and have an amazing experience every time. The portions are very generous.
These guys have been operating for a very long time before moving to this new premise and they really know their stuff.
Don't miss it.

The restaurant is shockingly reminiscent of local Chinese restaurants I went to as a kid, even down to their fried icecream! The menu is heavy on mock-meats, recreating everything from eel, shark fin, fish, lamb, and shellfish. There are plenty of traditional Chinese dishes on the menu, with the restaurant mainly sticking to the classics.
The atmosphere is calm and quiet, with an outdoor courtyard.
Tian Ci is a must visit if you're in Sydney, it's truly a unique and fantastic experience!

Wow what a place! From friendly staff to the huge menu this place is one of my new favourite vegan spots in sydney. The courtyard is such a nice place to eat and everything I’ve tried so far from my 2 visits has been delicious. The satay sticks, fried mushrooms with soy, rendang curry and special fried rice are my biggest recommendations. The banquets for 4 plus people are also in my opinion great value for the price. I could not fault this place! They even gave us all a tote bag with 2020 calendar for the new year. Eating at Tian Ci is such a joyful experience and the staff really make this possible!

This place reminds me of the Chinese restaurant we used to get take away from when I was a kid in the 1970s – only better. Offering an extensive menu with very quick and friendly service, I can tell it's going to become my local go to for those nights when you just can't face cooking. At first glance the menu seems dominated by mock meats, but there are plenty of tofu and vegetable-based options if that's not your thing. Noodles, rice, dumplings, curries, hot pots – you name it, they have it. Over 100 choices. Very reasonable prices, fresh, crispy, steaming hot vegetables and a kitchen that's open until 10pm. What more could you want? Deep fried ice cream? They have that too.

First time at Tian Ci, and the food is absolutely delicious. We had their special banquet 90 for 4 people, my, my, we were stuffed to the fullest. Food just kept coming and we filled ourselves with lovely warm chrysanthemum tea. The waiters at the restaurant were very accommodating, and you can really see their passion and care. Thank you so much for the awesome food and the delightful experience. Definitely coming back again... And we ended the night with a coconut candy to top it off on our way home.
