disappointing

I've been in town for 3 nights / 4 days for a business meeting, and previous experiences taught me wisely to not count on the hotel or the restaurants the group was booked into having anything edible, so I wrote this place in advance. The response I received was encouraging, indicating that they would deliver to my hotel (I was not permitted to rent a car).

So today they ostensibly opened at noon, and I tried calling -- I did not get through until 12:30 and attempted to order items off their menu, items that I had luckily written down because when viewed on my phone their web site refuses to display a menu. I was informed that they did not have seitan, despite it being on their menu. I expressed disappointment at this and was told impatiently that they do run out of stuff (after half an hour??), that I should have known this, and that she had other customers' orders to take. At this point I gave up and hung up, and a few minutes later I received a nasty SMS calling me by a name that isn't mine, telling me to never call them again because that was no way to talk to a lady. HUH?

I next tried a Pita Pit close by, and found that their bread is not vegan, so that all they could do would be a bowl of lettuce with the burger on top. Oh boy.

I ended up finding a Subway walkable from the hotel, despite it being a number of blocks away from where Google Maps claimed it was. Their veggie sandwiches aren't exciting and lack protein, but they at least had what was on their menu.

Pros: vegan, theoretical delivery

Cons: slow to answer, lacked advertised items, rude
