Good Vegan Restaurant In Heart of Casco Viejo - Edit
Our family dropped lunch here while we were walking around the Casco Viejo area. It was after the lunch hour rush so was very quiet. The owner (?) was very pleasant and attentive. We ordered the hummus appetizer which was good. My wife and son both ordered bowls - my wife was surprised that her bowl had noodles in it. My daughter ordered a burger that was actually 3 small sliders. To be candid, she wasn't crazy about them as she didn't like the texture of the burgers. I ordered the TLT and thought was it was very good. The fries were crispy. We had a brownie and Tahini cookie and both were very good. Their dog was a cutie and came around our table for some attention and hoping that we would drop some food on the floor! It was a very nice restaurant with a good size menu with plenty of vegan options. Very good and would definitely try it again next time we are in town.

Lovely spot for a delicious meal - Edit
One of our favorite if not our favorite meal in Panama City. We loved the TLT with home fries, the bread was perfectly toasted and filled with deliciousness. The autumn salad was refreshing and filling and tossed with dates, beets, walnuts… The smoothies were great and we finished our meal with a delicious apple crumble. Love you Vegan Shack

Disappointing for a top reviewed spot - Edit
Nice venue in the middle of casco viejo, very tranquil. Food was disappointing, however, and doesn’t compare to the other incredible options we found in Panama City.

It didn’t feel as though much love was poured into that food.

Sooo delicious! We are here yesterday and had to come back again just to try another dish from the menu. Yesterday we had the TLT sandwich and noodle stir fry (not pictured) and today we had the breakfast sandwich, chickpea omelet and almond labneh (not pictured). All made with such fresh ingredients too! 10/10

Don’t miss this spot in old town! Their breakfast is amazing super fresh and healthy we had the tofu scramble, banana peanut butter smoothie, and chickpea omelette and everything was amazing!!!!!

Best meal in Panama! - Edit
It’s been a struggle over the last week to find non meat options, especially in the country towards the Darién. Enough of the fries and patacones, please! Vegetables are just an afterthought and often draw a curious look when requested. The Vegan Shack is the perfect oasis of food sanity. The labneh starter, the abundance bowl, health freak juice and crumble dessert were all superb. As good as anything found in my hometown of Austin, Texas. In retrospect, I only wish I had left a larger tip. This review is my penance.

Everything we had was delicious! Sushi bowl was so flavorful with a nice mix of veggies plus edamame and tofu. Fred are great. Chunky monkey bowl was really good too. Lots of options. People who work there are really nice and speak English.

We had the pancakes and pink smoothie bowl with iced coffees - everything was great! Staff were lovely and the cafe itself was cute. They had a very cute distinguished looking dog too! Would definitely recommend it if you're in panama city.
Read morePopped back in for dinner and had the BBQ tofu sandwich. It was good but not as good as the breakfast I'd say. Felt a little small portion wise for the price. The staff were still lovely.

First of all, this restaurant is extremely pretty. Plenty of books and plants. The food was absolutely delicious and all day breakfast is always an advantage. The staff is perfectly lovely. But! The show was stolen by their dog. It's the cutest little angel. I don't find the words to describe how worthy of visiting this place is.
