Delicious and varied options - Edit
We had the chicken dinner, lentil soup, French fries, sweet potato fries, chocolate chip pancakes and butterfly pea tea. The pancakes were the best I’ve had in a restaurant- fluffy and the perfect amount of chocolate chips. We loved the chicken texture so much. The fries were perfect. And the tea was really nice. Highly recommend

Tasty - Edit
I had the VJ burrito with sweet potato. So Tasty!! Service was fast and friendly. Assortment of goodies to look at while you wait. The price was fair. Came for breakfast so I parked across the street in a lot with business that weren't open yet. It would have been worth any walk to find parking. Lots to choose from.

Not fresh - Edit
My food tastes like it was from the microwave , a little bubbly. Figured the curry was a safe bet since the menu is so huge — but I think I would not recommend the Thai food. The western food seems to be more popular

Tasty Thai-Inspired - Edit
I happened to meet the owner my first time here, and she was so kind, taking time to chat with us, thank us for coming, and even offered us a free spring roll to try. The garlic 'chicken' burger was awesome, with extra crispy sweet potato fries on the side. The all-vegan menu is Thai-inspired, with different noodle and rice dishes, burgers, and even breakfast items.

Yummy food! However, the waitress was giving attitude about my dog, my service dog! Hello?!?
Read more“You need to hide it or people would complain and leave without paying”. We literally had to beg to stay since we were starving.
After that I can tell she tried being nice, but kept handling us utensils and ketchup like she was about to start a fight lol we just kept smiling at her😉
Pros: Nice menu, Loved the neighborhood
Cons: Service was awful tbh

It could be better - Edit
I ordered spring rolls, chicken wings, and pad Thai. The pad Thai was horrible. I only took a few bites and couldn’t eat anymore. Both the spring rolls and wings were great, with the wings being extremely exceptional.

Just Okay - Edit
The Vegan Joint's staff is really nice and the menu has a lot of options, but our meals were mediocre. We had lunch. They have a lot of breakfast options which is what I'd try if I went back, but I probably won't as there are a lot of options to try in LA.

Great options - Edit
The menu is extensive, lots to choose from. Their burgers are especially good, even though I had thought this place was skewing Thai/Asian fusion. They also sell slices of vegan cake in the store, though pricy (like $6 per slice). Nice and friendly stadf

The menu is gigantic!!! There’s soooo much to choose from, there’s def something for everyone. The Vegan Joint was a hit with my nonvegan family. My brother said the chicken nuggets were the best he’s tasted.

I had the chicken wrap, and it was decent. Not much flavor to it. - Edit
Food is decent. The staff was rude when they demanded tips. I don’t mind tipping, I actually encourage it. However, it’s a little off putting when staff demands tips. I hadn’t even been served, or tried the food before they demanded a tip.

Great Place with Extensive Menu - Edit
Really like this place. The Veggie power juice was really really good. They have an extensive menu and an all day breakfast menu that looked really good. Everything I had was super tasty and fresh. Also the ladies who work there are so sweet and remembered us from a previous visit

Okay - Edit
I ordered the Spicy Noodle Soup and it was pretty bland, I’m sad to say. Perhaps I’ll try some of their other menu options in the future. 3 stars instead of 2 for the short wait time, pleasant customer service and cozy atmosphere.

Delicious gluten free options - Edit
Although there are not that many gluten-free options, the ones that are, are extremely delicious. My go-to‘s are burrito number two and three (ask for corn tortilla), pad Thai, and the garlic chicken wrap (again, ask for corn tortilla).

THE BEST RESTAURANT EVER!!! - Edit
It has been my favorite restaurant since I was two years old. I like the spicy noodle soup, fresh spring rolls, tofu scrambled burger, the garlic chicken burger, crispy spring rolls, fried tofu, their pad-thai, the spicy mint noodles, the lentil quesadilla, the combination burrito, the hot drum sticks, and the taco plate. All the people who work there are super nice and patient. The service is fast and the food is reasonably priced.

Fast service, tasty food - Edit
I've been coming to The Vegan Joint over the years since it first opened its doors, and I like the improvements I've seen over the years, including the interior/exterior upgrades, the menu options, and the quality of the food. Was just here again April 2020 and had yet another good meal. Here's my Vegan Joint review update. It's casual dining with simple yet flavorful foods. The service is quick, and the owner, Hnoi, is gracious though she's usually out shopping & going to check on the other Vegan Joint locations. Dishes I especially like are the spicy noodle soup (highly addictive), the tofu scramble burger (ask for it, it's gone off-menu), and the pancakes which come out perfect every time. Also good are the fresh rolls, yellow curry, red curry, mushroom soup, Chinese soup, batter-fried veg chicken sandwich, tofu scramble with hash browns, and always the vegan cakes brought in from a local vegan baker. The vibe is relaxed and easy. The prices are fair. I'm happy.

Diner Food, okay I guess - Edit
Nothing super thrilling here. Diner food. They rushed me in super fast and I felt like they were rushing everyone to order and get out. I was trying to decide and asked for more time but the waitstaff just stands there waiting. The whole restaurant was a vibe of non customer service, lots of warning signs, Run Down, etc. not worth a revisit.

Great breakfast burritos, curry, burgers, spring rolls, and possibly the best fried chicken around. Not to mention fruity pancakes and desserts to go. What's not to love?
