Menu offers breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, scrambles, waffles, donuts as well as a variety of other lunch entrees and sandwiches. Various plant milks available for coffee drinks. Confirmed open May 2020. Open Wed-Sun 8:00am-2:00pm.

Great All-Vegan Cafe - Edit
This is a great spot for vegan breakfast and lunch. Food comes out quick, barely had a chance to sit down! Great prices, too, with an awesome selection of coffee and tea. The Tasty has a comfortable, small diner feel with very friendly staff. I would bring any non-veg friends and family here for a bite anytime.

Cutest little diner serves classic diner food. After years since becoming vegan, I FINALLY got an porkroll and egg and cheese sandwich that matches what I remember!!! Chicken cheesesteaks are awesome too!

I visited philly for 4 days and I came here 3 days in a row. Got cupcakes for a little cousin, tried their cheesesteak, deluxe burrito, French toast, ceasar salad, biscuits with gravy, BLT, tofu scramble ... and hot chocolate that they made for me upon request (i don’t drink coffee). Me and my friend loved everything!

We drove here from South Jersey in search of delicious breakfast...Mission Accomplished!Food was delicious, staff very courteous. Best iced latte I’ve ever had. My wife loved that whipped cream on her pancakes and that chkn and waffle plate rocked.

This is such a fun/cool place with a full vegan menu and the food was delicious. We were there for breakfast and the burrito was to die for! Love the vibe - like a 50's diner. Great coffee too.

I love The Tasty!! Tons of delicious breakfast options. The sweets are to die for. I scarfed down a cinnamon sugar donut as I waited for my tofu “egg,” cheese and soysage bagel breakfast sandwich and I’m not mad about it. That donut change my life. Soooo good! Everything I ordered was great. Will be back here every time I’m in Philadelphia. Can’t wait to try lunch!

Went here for the first time for breakfast today, honestly I wish I could go back for dinner. I just want to try everything they offer. I just got fairly simple, the breakfast boost toast. I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but I looooved it. Oh man!!! I guess they limit the menu until 10 AM, and at that point it got busy pretty quickly. I am glad we were there before the rush (but I will also go back after 10 to try EVERYTHING THEY OFFER 😍)

I loved the vibe, although it was busy, there was still a cozy feel that felt welcoming... more importantly, the food was delicious!! I had the breakfast burrito with tots, the sour cream tastes just like non-vegan sour cream, I loved it!! My fiancé had the French toast with tots and he loved his food as well. We will definitely be adding The Tasty to the top of our list of vegan dining options, it is amazing!!!

i know a couple people who call this the not tasty, but i give it more credit. the menu is includes sweet and savory meals like pancakes, eggs, chicken, all vegan in a very american style. some of their items like the egg just miss the mark.. just kinda off compared to the real deal. however, the pancakes, french toast, pastries, that stuff is generally safe and w delicious leftovers!

Came for breakfast (tofu egg and cheese with soysauge on a Philly muffin with tots on the side) and enjoyed it so much that I came back the next day for a late lunch (and ordered the same damn thing!) Oh, and the peanut butter, cereal, chocolate bar was so good too!

My significant other and I went to The Tasty for coffee mainly as we already had breakfast earlier in the day, but we shared the Chikn and Waffle.
Read moreShe got the Matcha latte, and I got a Macademia (mylk) Latte. Both were good, not too sweet, Matcha wasnt very sweet which was good.
The chikn and waffle was good.. but the chicken was so crispy I could barely cut through it and lacked some seasoning. And additionally the syrup that they had was a "pancake" syrup.. which is fine if the place was McDonalds.. but the waffle was good, and overall the portion was okay for the price and tastes fine.
The main issue is, they immediately make you order when you walk in, and they dont really have a lot of seating. And the bar seating is really cramped.., there is very limited table seating. And worst of all it was hot as heck in there, with no AC and no air from the outside.
Overall an okay experience.
Pros: Quick and good service , cute brunch options , good coffee

Really wonderful spot! The Dirty Jersey on a Sesame bagel served on china, so tasty! Food is great! Service is quick no matter how crowded it looks & the staff all so nice. Plus supports local causes, cant beat that!!

Delicious! Worth the Chaos - Edit
My husband and I went here for my birthday lunch on a Saturday around noon. The place was so packed we shared a table with two complete strangers! The food was incredible! I got biscuits and gravy (rec. the sawmill) and blueberry pancakes and my husband had the steak— both very flavorful and delicious! The atmosphere was very charming as well, in spite of the chaos of fifty hungry vegans stacked all together! Will definitely go again 😊
