The pistachio cannoli!

I tried a few items from the bakery, the pastry that was similar to a pistachio cannoli was amazing. The other pastry I tried was just alright, the focaccia and my coffee as well. The prices are a bit high but everything is beautiful, I would definitely go back for the pistachio pastry again.

Limited options, delicious pastries

I was there around 2 PM and unfortunately there wasn’t much left — only about four types of pastries, which was a bit disappointing since the online photos make the selection look much bigger. Hoewever, the vanilla croissant I had was absolutely delicious, and the price was reasonable. Would love to come back earlier in the day to try more!

Quick and tasty

The space is quite tight, but it's a nice place to grab a vegan bite. Lots of nice choices in the display case. The people working there were way friendly. I and a friend had a pretty large selection, and all were quite tasty! The coffee was also really good. Good for a quick snack, or a meal.

Pros: Friendly staff, tasty vegan Italian food

Over hyped

I had the savoury croissant with ham and cheese and really wasn’t anything special. The croissant was pretty dry and the filling was super salty.

Delicious

A beautiful selection of pastries and focaccia breads. Taste was immense. We also had a coffee and juice which were delicious. The only downfall was that they had no option to warm the focaccias which would have gained the 5 🌟. Seating inside is minimal but seats outside, just too cold in February but i imagine it’s gorgeous in the summer. Would 100% recommend.

Pros: Delicious flavours - the best yet in Berlin.

Cons: No way to warm the food

pistachio heaven !

finding good vegan pastries is not always easy. i never wanted to stop eating these. the chocolate mousse cornettos omg. but the buns with pistachio cream were truly to die for. if i could have one every day for the rest of my life i would be the happiest person alive. alas i shall have to wait until next time i’m in berlin to have one again.

Great bakery with limited seating

This bakery seems to have a bigger selection than the Sanctuary branch in Prenzlauer Berg, but it has less seating space and the hot chocolate didn't seem to be as amazing. Still, it's well worth a visit.

Great bakery

Lovely little spot for coffee and pastries. They offer a wide range of sweet and savory stuff (like pizza slices). Everything is fresh. Staff was lovely!
Inside they have very limited seating and it gets very busy, so I wouldn’t recommend it as a spot for reading or having some quiet time.

The best bake goods in Berlin

Delicious bake goods. Polite staff. There are not enough seats inside, so only take-out during cold weather.

Edit: Regarding all Sanctuary cafes - several times we tried to go there, the place was either closed (during working hours) or everything was sold out. So unless you live nearby or passing by, it is better to pick something more reliable.

the B.E.S.T.

Außerdem gibt´s ständig wieder was Neues auf der Karte, man weiß eigentlich nie was man hier zuerst kaufen soll! Vegan heaven.

Cafés in Berlin, daily dose of vegan aesthetics ✅

Delicious baked goods

Delicious italian baked goods that you can't find anywhere else. We chose the Box of 4 goods for about 15€ and loved everything. I liked the savoury options better than the sweet stuff, but thats just personal preference. Highly recommend going there, and go early for a wide selection.

Pros: All vegan, Delicious

Cons: A bit pricey

Visit early for wide choice

Cute, small place serving interesting sweet pastries, a variety of hot drinks and foccacie, small pizza etc.
We came in the afternoon so the sweet pastry selection was a bit limited. There were still three types of croissants (cornetto, although the size of croissants), and a couple of pastries. We enjoyed the something Napoletana most although the pear & hazelnut/chocolate biscuit was nice with the tasty coffee as well.

It’s compact with just a few seating options inside, so you may need to take out.
If you are in/near Prenzlauer Berg, check out there other location in Malmoer Str.

Do not miss! Delicious Sicilian pastries

I love finding niche vegan places, and bonus points when they turn out to be amazing. The Sanctuary is a small cozy bakery with so many fresh & delicious looking pastry options - savory and sweet. If only we could have tried more! Everything we tried was wonderful, from the cream cheese focaccia (not too greasy, very flavorful) to the chocolate cornetto (so nice and crispy) with an amazing chocolate cream. This is rivaled only by my favorite Brooklyn pastry shop.
Edit: Have now been back several times and especially recommend the cream-filled pastries!

Must see while in Berlin!

The sanctuary was an incredible Italian vegan bakery! The people working were super kind and welcoming. The pastries were amazing and I went back every single morning that I was in Berlin. The focaccia variations were absolutely incredible for any savoury food lover like myself. This was the perfect combination, nice savoury meal then a delicious, fresh pastry to follow! Their cappuccinos were great too! Amazing little bakery! You’re missing out if you haven’t stopped by!

Lovely bakery

Small italian bakery with a huge variety of selfmade goods. Had a hot chocolate, a crossiant filled with a white chocolate cream and raspberries as well as a onion foccacia. The filling and the crossiant itself were delicous. The foccacia was pretty fluffy and tasty

It's a bit pricy but if you want something special you'll find something here.

Pros: Great food, Friendly staff

Cons: Pricy

A true bakery heaven!

I already had high expectations, but I never imagined it would be this good. Phenomenally delicious! Both the sweet and savory options were a delight. The regular croissant, with its light, buttery layers, was perfection, and the pistachio pastry - wow, I’m blown away. The pizza slices, one with onions and the other with cheese, were equally fantastic. There’s still so much I want to try!

Everything is great!

We had a normal croissant, which was good, however, it was nothing compared to the pistachio piece, and the pizza was delicious too. All in all, I can really recommend it, and it wasn’t too expensive either.
