Our Favourite Restaurant - Edit
The Real Wan is an incredible southern Chinese restaurant with food like no other. Lots of vegan options, one of my favourites is the shitake noodles, my partner likes the aubergine flat noodles. The vegan dumplings are always amazing, and so are lots of the other sides too. We've been going here for years and try to take every guest who visits us here!
Read moreYou will need to book although there is more space since they moved to a new location. Walk-in's may be possible during lunchtime, but for evening meals definitely booking is recommended. The current booking form (as of Feb 2026) allows bookings of up to 2 weeks in advance).
I gave this restauant 5 stars, but Happy Cow doesn't let you give 5 stars to restaurants that aren't fully vegan.

Excellent vegan options - Edit
Very happy that the Real Wan has moved to a more convenient location as the old location was fairly difficult to navigate. The food was delightful, they don't serve alcohol but allow you to bring your own. You need to book tables in advance as it's very in demand. Staff were very friendly and for £50 or less, 2 people can share a filling amount of dishes with an array of tastes. Each dish was bursting with flavour and the use of szechuan peppers resulted in a sensory experience that I'll very happily return for.

Best noodle dish I've ever eaten! - Edit
My first trip to this restaurant and I will be back. So many exciting vegan options. It was lovely to feel spoiled with so many great choices. I ordered the homemade noodles with garlic sauce, and aubergine. They were incredible, amazing texture and the sauce was full of umami yumminess. I've never had noodles so good!!!! I can't wait to return to this restaurant. It's small so I recommend booking in advance. My meat eating and vegetarian friends equally enjoyed this place.

Absolutely Divine - Edit
I have been here many times and it is always dynamite. There are multiple vegan options, and often a vegan special. If you want to sit in, you have to book because it is so popular.

Some of the best vegan food in Glasgow - Edit
Cannot recommend this place enough. Everything is cooked fresh and super tasty. The chunky hand-pulled noodles are divine.
Read moreThey have a changing menu, but we had 3 mains to choose from and about 8 of the small items were vegan.
It is a very small place and super popular. Reserve a table in advance, which you have to do through their google maps marker - slightly weird concept but it works.

Nothing else like it - Edit
Had takeaway to sample many of the vegan items on the menu and it was incredible. Highlights were the ribbon tofu and potstickers but everything was delicious. Regret not taking any photos but there's always next time and this will definitely be a regular place to visit for me.
