Tasty Vegan Dishes with Japanese & Korean Influence; Healthy Desserts & Drinks - Edit
Previously Soul Alife, relocated and known as The Plant Food. Fully vegan cafe with a mostly allium-free menu; clearly labelled. They serve colourful, healthy, and tasty dishes with some Japanese and Korean influence! Very generous servings and nutritionally balanced. Most of them are whole-food plant-based, with delicious items and sauces etc made from scratch with love. For example, they're recently created their very own vegan egg benedict and chickpea tuna toasts, both of which I would highly recommend! Some dishes do feature quality local brands of plant-based substitutes, such as OnlyEg, &SO, and Angie’s Tempeh. Apart from mains, they serve desserts like tiramisu (and tea-ramisu), muffins, and loaf cakes, made using ingredients such as oats and tofu as well as naturally sweetened with dates; gluten-free, oil-free, and refined sugar-free. The wide range of Oatside oat mylk lattes are also very good, including unique flavours like shiso, oolong, Thai red milk lattes. They’re currently serving Deepavali specials with chickpea tempeh curry, masala prawn salad, and mango lassi! My top favourite vegan eatery in Singapore as the food is so beautiful, filling, and wholesome~ You can tell the young lady boss is genuinely kind and passionate about serving great vegan food, plus catering to the allium-free crowd. The consistency in cooking, plating, and service quality across different staff members has also improved! The male staff even came out to serve us glasses of cold water on a hot day. Conveniently located near Upper Thomson MRT Exit 3. (You can visit Macritchie Reservoir in the same day, walking distance away~)

Yummy vegan food - Edit
The food was amazing, super yummy and very wholesome we had the udon, inari platter, kimchi fried rice and teriyaki mushroom rice. All yum, tiramisu was fabulous as you don’t get alot of vegan tiramisu in Singapore. This place is a hiddlen gem, just the service was little slow as there was only one staff member but it was fine

delicious value for dollar bowls - Edit
tried their 2 grain bowls. the beetroot one can be more strongly flavoured (but still delicious on it's own) , the garlic hummus is 100/100 but depends on your preferences. i loved the spicy garlic kick! if they had a half&half bowl that would be amazing! bowls were filling and i feel value for dollar. will visit again. indoor seating - bar seats only. outdoor seated - chairs with backrest. no toilets in store.

Healthy and tasty food with plenty vegetables, only spoiled by corn preponderence in much of the menu.

🔸️Mala Siew Mai SGD 4.90
ALTN Meat free siew mai with spicy Mala sauce topped with peanuts
🔸️Glutinous Lotus Leaf Rice SGD 2.90
ALTN Meat free glutinous rice wrapped in lotus leaf
❤My 1st try and I am totally in love with ALTN products!🤩😍 The sides are ALL well flavoured and delicious ESPECIALLY the Truffle Mushroom Gyoza! Hell impressive! The creamy truffle broth is mind blowing good in my opinion, and unbelievably vegan! A craving trigger for me. Favourite truffle dumplings to date😋
✅Mains: (Allium free)
🔸️Spicy T-una Poke SGD 13.90
My Hubby said the konjac vegan marinated tuna taste better than real tuna! I love the sauce blend that totally matched the soft, chewy texture of the Tuna. Will repeat order when I need a healthy bowl👍
🔸️Japanese Monkey Head Mushroom Curry SGD 13.90
This is ALLIUM-FREE and I have to say that this Homemade Japanese curry taste better than many Jap curry (with alliums) that I have tried. Generous portion of the monkey head mushroom makes the whole dish is extremely satisfying. Another craving trigger for me provided the taste and portion stays the same!
🔸️Assorted Inari Platter SGD 8.90
Consist of Chuka Inari, Tofuegg Mayo Inari, Quinoa Inari, Teriyaki Mushroom Inari, Vegan Floss Inari. Expectedly good👍
✅Desserts:

Sugar free, gluten free, oil free matcha/black sesame fudge. The sweetness level is very mild, great for the health-conscious

Beautiful artisanal display of food, delicious but very pricey - Edit
Slow service, but the food is delicious and so beautiful. Mala Siew mai was a good recommendation , so was the truffle mushroom gyoza. My virgin poke bowl experience, and it was delightful but cold dishes don’t do well with me. The curries smell delicious.
Read morePros: Unconventional dishes , Beautiful display, Quiet and quaint( for now)
Cons: Be prepared to wait , Aircon counter top seats only , Phone order only, no paper menu
