'proper ' vegan fish and chips - Edit
Amazing experience, friendly staff, very inclusive place.
Read moreI've had vegan "fish" before but it's usually fried halloumi. This one is made of tofu and somehow it takes a bit like fish, probably the seaweed gives its flavour. They put a layer of sea weed in the outside, it really looks like fish skin.
I've been a vegetarian for 30 years but I think I still remember what fish tastes like. This really tricked my brain.
Pros: Tasty, yummy looking food, Friendly staff, Very chilled, inclusive environment

Banging fish and chips - Edit
Great, fully vegan. Staff were super friendly.
Read moreI got the cod and chips (I’ll be really honest and say I wasn’t a fan of the fake fish), but the chips were banginggggg. And I got curry sauce, was fab.
Super filling too, I had a food baby 🤣

It was alright - Edit
I was excited to visit here, and service was good and always prefer a fully vegan place, but it didn't really make me feel I was in a seaside chippy. The chips were nice, but did not resemble chippy chips I can occasionally get from regular chippies with a vegan/chips only fryer (or I can get from a regular fish and chip shop, if I don't mind cross-contamination from the fryer).
Read moreThe cod and haddock were apparently the same, but the haddock had a bit more of a smokey flavour, so I ordered that. It felt like soy chicken sticks with some seaweed. Not the shape of a fillet with flaky fishness.
Thought might have been some animal related decor as it's owned by Earthling Ed (at least, I think it still is?).

Vegan fish - Edit
We don’t really miss the taste of fish or anything as vegans. But as we are visiting England, of course we had to try at least once the famous “Fish n chips”. And luckily the “fish” at The No Catch Co didn’t taste too fishy.
Read moreWe followed the recommendation and tried the cod with chips, as well as the jumbo lemon shrimps. Also had the kids menu with tofish and chips.
We actually liked the tofish the best. Toddler like it too; basically fried tofu with seaweed.
The shrimp texture was really shrimpy – as far as we can remember.
Service was friendly and fast.
You have to get down a couple of stairs before entering the restaurant; so not really accessible.

We had the prawn tempura and large plate of cod fish and chips. It was good but could have had a bit more taste. The chips were great.

It was okay - Edit
I was quite excited to eat here, knowing it was all vegan fish and chips. The place itself was easy to find. The restaurant has quite small limited seats and a little stuffy. When I arrived there was rubbish on tables etc. Nevertheless, I ordered fish and chips, and at the time, I felt fine eating, but I have to say it was incredibly oily. I had a bad belly for the remaining of the evening. Its a lil pricey aswell. Spent 40 pounds for two persons fish and chips.

Unreal - Edit
Beautiful vegan fish and chips on Brighton sea front. Busy shop but lots of seating inside. I had the vegan tempura prawns which were okay but I thought my partner’s ‘tofish’ was nice and better value.

So good! - Edit
I need to know how they do it, since it is remarkable how much it tastes like fish and chips, even my omni sister was impressed. The fish was great, but the prawns were definitely my favorite and can’t be missed. I’m a big fan!

Perfect for those seafood cravings! - Edit
Love what they do here! The lemon shrimp was my favorite. The tofish bites are great with the tartare sauce and the rest of our party preferred those. Great, peppery mushy peas too. Good tempura prawns and calamari as well. The name is so clever too. It was a shame to see them closing at 7 as there were still lots of people trying to come for food. I wish there were more of these all over.

Amazing Vegan Fish and Chips - Edit
An amazing 100% vegan fish and chips shop. It's not often as a vegan you come across vegan fish and chips but No Catch Co has a variety of delicious options including vegan cod, haddock, calamari, prawns etc. The chips themselves are very nice, too.
Read moreI think the 5 star rating No Catch Co already speak for itself as the food is great and it's amazing to be able to enjoy a famous dish in British cuisine and have a variety of "seafood" without unethical practices and impact on our oceans.
Very good and a must go-to if you're a vegan in Brighton!

Low key seafront shop - Edit
We opted to try a few things, calamari, tofish and chips, and battered sausages. Tartare sauce was good with everything. I liked the curry with the battered sausages. The tofish bites were okay. (I am comparing to fish and chips from The Good Grub In Eastbourne, which were an innovative use of banana blossoms.) Calamari was slightly rubbery and the sausages were good.
