Amazing menu. I wish I could have been able to try more things because everything looked great. The scramble tofu was seasoned perfectly and the pancakes were super light and fluffy.

Fantastic Vegan restaurant in Las Vegas - Edit
It was our first visit and I had the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich and it was delicious. My wife had the Nachos as a meal. The food was very tasty, the presentation was very good, and the service was excellent. We intend on visiting The Modern Vegan every time we are in Las Vegas. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was good, but compared to how awesome all the other Vegas vegan restaurants were, this one didn’t stand out as much!

Food Spot On, Service Spotty - Edit
I've been to the Modern Vegan twice this week as I am in town for work, and the hotel I was staying at had very little vegan options. Both times I have been the food has been amazing, but the service differed tremendously.
Read moreMy first visit was Thursday evening. I opted for the Philly as I am from Philadelphia and enjoy trying different variations of a traditional cheesesteak. The sandwich was very filling. The hoagie roll was taosted perfectly, steak charred nicely, and the melted mozzarella to die for. The fries we also delicious and seasoned just right. My server was a breath of fresh air- probably the best service I had in Vegas the duration of my stay. Very genuine, friendly and little [censored]. I had a great time even though I was dining alone.
The second time I visited was tonight. This time I opted for a salad for after a week in Vegas, I needed some greens. My salad was huge and was worth the higher price point in terms of actual food you get. Unfortunately, my server was very inattentive, uninterested, and unengaged. I had to wave her down for a drink refill as well as my check. The two people working the front were loudly talking to each other about.... things you wouldn't want patrons to hear, let's just say that. My experience from the last time I visited just wasn't the same.
I will still come back to the Modern Vegan next time I am in town for the amazing vegan options they provide

Out of the way vegan comfort food - Edit
I was excited to see a vegan restaurant in Las Vegas. The menu looked interesting and varied. I was underwhelmed. I ordered the lobster melt at the suggestion of my server with an up charge side of Mac and cheese. The melt was greasy and very “mayo” heavy. The Mac and cheese had bacos on the top and a very heavy sauce. It was all very filling and the portions were large but not super. Lots of fried and beyond burger options on the menu. Great place if you want comfort food.

WOW - Edit
I don’t know where to start. We had dinner at The Modern Vegan tonight and we were totally blown away. This place must have the best vegan food in Vegas. The menu was impressive, everything looked so good. We finally decided on the portobello steak and the game changer burger and the food was RIDICULOUSLY DELICIOUS! Huge portions of just outstanding food! Not to mention that the place is very cute inside and our server was so warm, sweet and helpful ♥️ I think his name is Carlos. I already can’t wait to come back!

Best Vegan in Vegas - Edit
My 3rd time reviewing and amending my review for TMV. Started out as five stars when they had huge portions, delicious food, and great service. However after a while, the food really went downhill as well as a service and thus dropped to two stars. Found myself in the neighborhood a few times over the past few months so I opted to give them another try after a few year hiatus. I can honestly say they’re back to 4 1/2 stars. I think their problem was that the menu was just too big for a while so quality control just wasn’t there. They have since really trimmed down the menu to just the favorites. I can say this was a great move as the quality definitely seems to be back. It doesn’t seem like they’re making huge portions just for the sake of making huge portions like they did for a while. For example, they would load up the breakfast on a pile of mashed potatoes. I will say the service does not seem super attentive or overly friendly, but I wanna call the service bad necessarily. Just not overly warm.

Okay food, inattentive staff - Edit
I ate here a few times last year and really enjoyed it. Back then I gave them 5 stars.
Read moreThe menu is a bit different now. Items I've previously enjoyed are no longer on the menu. I just got a burger, and it was lukewarm and just so-so.
The staff was very detached. Their main focus was their cell phones (the greeter was glued to hers 1000%) or chatting with each other. Attention to patrons was an afterthought, at best. I would'nt say they were rude, but they truly didn't seem to care about patrons one way or another.
Lots of great reviews on here, so maybe I hit them on a bad day...but the other lower reviews seem aligned with mine. Inattentive staff and lackluster food.
Also, their website is currently down, so you can't order online. You can't reach a human on the phone. It wasn't clear that they were open for business, but they were.

All-vegan American comfort food in LA! 🌱🇺🇸

Crispy juicy “chicken,” sweet fluffy waffle, and tart peach all in one bite = perfection. 🍑🍗✨ The balance of salty, sweet, and tangy flavors was unreal. Honestly, this combo made me feel so American! 🤣

Still just as amazing as our first visit. Great menu. For vegans where options are often limited, it's almost overwhelming*.

Note: they do still sell Diet Pepsi, which isn't vegan. I did point this out to them in September 2023 but it's still on the menu. I brought this up in April 2025 and again in September 2025 😂
Menu appears to have changed since our last visit in April 2025 (can't believe they ditched the poutine fries) but it's still good.

My waitress Nicole was incredible!
I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Modern Vegan in Las Vegas, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. This vegan restaurant is beautiful, with a vibrant atmosphere, cozy seating, and heaping portions of delicious, heimish vegan comfort food that leave you full and happy.
But what really set this visit apart was our incredible waitress, Nicole!! She was kind, courteous, and caring in every way. Her attentive service, warm personality, and genuine kindness made us feel so welcome. She paid attention to every detail, was accommodating without ever being intrusive, and added such positive energy and Chen to the meal. I can honestly say this was the best restaurant service I’ve ever experienced.
If you’re looking for a Las Vegas vegan restaurant that combines outstanding food with exceptional service, Modern Vegan is a must-visit. Between the generous portions, the amazing atmosphere, and the kind of service that makes you feel like family, this place is a true gem. I can’t wait to return!

I had an amazing experience at The Modern Vegan! The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that left me more than satisfied. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The service was equally impressive—attentive, friendly, and perfectly timed. A special shoutout to our waitress, Nicole, who was truly outstanding. She was warm, knowledgeable, and made the whole dining experience even better. Overall, this is one of those places where you feel taken care of from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Great food!!! - Edit
I went twice over Labor Day weekend with 2 different people. One was a meat lover who thought his Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was terrific. I ordered the Spicy Ch’kn sandwich one day and the Bacon Ch’kn ranch on spinach wrap the next. Just crazy how good their food is! Very modest outside and very nice inside!!! I highly recommend it.

Worst experience in Vegas - Edit
I really don’t understand how the place has these reviews. The greeter was not friendly, no smiles.
Read moreTook a server over 5 minutes to come to our table and it was dead. I don’t eat soy and asked the server what may be a good option. She said, “impossible and beyond burgers are both soy free.” While I know beyond is, impossible has always been made of soy. The waitress said the owner told her impossible was soy free now. Well that’s wrong and only a simple google search away. If you’re making vegan food, know your facts.
My husband got the truffle Mac that was edible but had no truffle flavor so $27 for what noodles and cheese sauce? Cool.
What came out for me was the saddest most overcooked burger I’ve ever seen. I asked for just greens and bbq sauce. It came out with 2 handfuls of spinach stuffed into the bun. Greens were not even dressed…. No salt, pepper, oil, nothing, a tomato, some pesto I never asked for that was dried up bc the patty sucked up all the moisture.
I really wanted to love this place but it was without a doubt the worst vegan meal I’ve ever had (in 8 yrs) and would not consider coming back.
When the waitress saw my pile of greens after she gathered plates, you could hear her complaining at the kitchen asking why there was so much greens on the plate.
She did that yet never apologized to us or offer to take it off the tab seeing I clearly didn’t eat it.
Food: a 1 but they won’t let me give it 1 star.
Waitstaff: also a 1.
Go elsewhere. Don’t waste your $80 here.

Greasy comfort food - Edit
We got the jalapeno poppers, the game changer meal, and a root beer float. The jalapeno poppers were pretty good. The game changer was good, but super greasy and heavy. The root beer float was missing from our order, and the phone number in our email receipt isn't the correct phone number for the restaurant so we aren't sure how to have that resolved. Overall the food was pretty good, but was very expensive for 3 jalapeno poppers and a burger with a missing drink. I'd recommend going in for your order to avoid not getting your full order/a refund/replacement item. Overall I'll try it again in person their breakfast items look tasty.
