Great pancakes - Edit
Super tasty pancakes, clearly marked vegan options and super helpful and friendly staff. As others have said the seating area is very little but I find it endearing. Worth the wait

Good Pancakes - Edit
Went there for a breakfast pancake and I thought the pancake was great! The place was super crowded though and it took ages for the vegan pancake to be made but I really liked it! However the coffee I got was like petrol station coffee.

Pig is surely not happy about all that bacon - Edit
In danger of sounding like a crazy vegan, I was negatively affected by all the bacon fried in front of me, on a display. The place is so small it’s hard not to see it and not to smell it. Due to the name “happy pig” I was under an impression the place is vegan and now, knowing it only has ‘vegan options’ their name sounds preposterous to me. The pancakes were okay, nothing fancy. Lots of banana, too little chocolate, lots of trash from single use long tubes (plates?), but they were carton based and had wooden cutlery so I guess better for the zero waste folks than just plastic. Decent coffee, with only a soy milk option for additional 50cents. Prices in Amsterdam are high, especially in the center. Price of 8,50 per pancake did not shock me. What was strange was the absolute lack of bathroom. It is illegal in most EU countries to open a food place w/o facilities.

Cons: Bacon baked on display, No bathroom (!), Tiny place (difficult to get a spot at luchtime)

Tasty snack - Edit
Only one savoury vegan option but really tasty. A little expensive for what it is. Just a a snack for me.

delicious and beautifully presented pancakes! - Edit
Lots of love vegan options for these delicious pancakes, although the sweet options were better than the savoury. We had the cianmmon raisin one, and the chocolate banana one and they were both fantastic. The coffees were also nice. Recommend!

Over 30 minutes wait very expensive but food was nice. - Edit
We were recommended to come to the happy pig by a friend in Amsterdam.
Read moreWe get there and we see the prices, we paid €16 for two types of pancake they serve, which was a little over priced in my opinion and one person from the group decided not to get anything but I didn't mind as we had never been before and we didn't want to leave and look for another pancake place so soon.
We waited over 30 minutes for these pancakes. At this point I didn't want to be there anymore , I felt like I had wasted my money.
We wouldn't have been so irritated, but we were not spoke to or told about the wait time, yes it was a little busy but we would have been happier if we got told it was going to be a 30 mins wait for our food.
I've worked in the food industry and letting your customers know there is longer than a 10 minute wait makes them much happier than waiting for their food not knowing when it's going to arrive.
Don't be shy to tell people.
The pancakes were very nice! But we were just upset about how long we waited for pancakes, which takes other places 5-10 mins to make.
I hope you take my review on bored.

Pros: Food
Cons: Wait time, Not told about wait time

loved it! - Edit
The pancakes are really good and there are several vegan options for fillings and toppings. They also have lattes and can make these with soymilk. Everything is marked on the menu and the staff is friendly.

Great little place - Edit
The pancakes were amazing and there were so many topping options that were vegan too! The rolled pancakes were truly unique and a must have if you’re around the area. Only downside is that it’s quite a small place so there aren’t many seats so it’s best to go as soon as it opens.

We stopped by this cute place this morning and had a lovely vegan pancake breakfast! They had just added vegan chocolate topping to the menu as well which was delicious! A must go when here in Amsterdam for sure!

Very good but a bit pricey - Edit
The pancakes are really good although it can costs as much as a whole vegan meal in a restaurant. It is very good but not exceptional, if you go there make sure you are hungry because it is very filling! Staff is super friendly and in the morning it wasn't so crowded. The smell of hot butter might bother you if it is something which disgusts you (the chocolate sauce contains butter and the smell is pretty strong).

Okay Pancakes - Edit
it is nice to feel included in the dutch pancake phenomena, And frankly I was amazed they had a vegan option.
Read moreOn the other hand, the staff there were annoyed about the vegan option, and the counter person (whom I was under the impression was the owner) made a remark about how it was actually soy beans causing deforestation, not animal farming.
so though they do have a vegan option, i didn't really find it to be a vegan friendly environment.
