A reasonable amount of vegan options all very clearly labeled on the menu, tried a few and have nothing but positive things to say. The flavors were fantastic, will definitely be going back, super tasty

Be very careful, was served beef. - Edit
The first red flag was the waiter couldn’t pronounce pho correctly and the place was empty on a Friday evening at 8pm. We were served beef curry when we clearly pointed to and ordered vegan curry. We ordered 4 items and all vegan. The waiter argued with us. Since the beef curry had ruined my rice, I asked for new rice. We had already asked for extra rice because they serve so little and he said they were out but we could pay more for fried rice. He said he would refund my small rice but not the other one.
Read moreIn addition, my lemongrass tofu had no lemongrass and he wanted to argue that. I went to speak to the cook and the waiter nearly panicked. The cook showed me the lemongrass sauce and I could see the stir fry sauce, obviously the lemongrass wasn’t used. The problem is the waiter does not speak Vietnamese and the kitchen staff only speaks Vietnamese.
I was just going to pay the 84 bill and leave but the waiter called the manager. She was actually really nice and comped the beef curry and lemon grass dish, more than I asked for. Her excuse was it was hot and late, we made a reservation for 8:15 and they close at 9:30. It was a big disappointment and we won’t be back.

Nice vegan Vietnamese food - Edit
Updated 04-2025 to describe the new vegan options, they now offer a vegan option for every item on the menu.
Read moreI passed by here and saw their 'vegan friendly' sign outside so I had to check it out! They have a vegan version of almost every item on the menu now, including snacks. Unfortunately when I was here some options were not available. They also have 10.95 euro lunch specials with vegan options for everything (rice, noodles, banh-mi, noodle soup, vermicelli salad).
The service was fast and friendly! My starter was great but my main course was a little bland. My partner had a curry which was lovely though. We spend less than 40 euro for two courses and a drink each.
It's nice to see they have some many options and really expanded the amount of vegan dishes since I first went here.

Tasty fried dumplings - Edit
We popped by for a quick dinner as some of us were short on time and we figured service would be relatively quick at The Hangout. We ordered the fried dumplings (vegan) to share and these were tasty. For dinner my partner and I had the vegan noodle soup. I thought the soup was fine but it was a bit bland and I wasn’t blown away by it. My partner didn’t like it so much. I wouldn’t come back for mains but I might be back to try the vegan sandwich at some point for lunch.

Tasty Vietnamese food, many vegan options, big portions - Edit
We were walking by this place many times before seeing vegan options on the menu and finally decided to come by one day. Almost all the dishes are properly served vegan, very generous portions and delicious food. We had spring rolls, lemongrass stir-fry and a noodle soup - all vegan, and it was very tasty. Friendly owners who are very open to add more vegan variety, great to hear that there is even much more potential for this place!
