Great but ...

I went to the GreenSpot several times and it’s really one of the best restaurants in Barcelona. The atmosphere is amazing and the food really good. Also the service is almost always spot on. However yesterday I have noticed much less food in our plates compared to previously. Also the quality wasn’t outstanding as the other times. Hopefully next time I go they will put some more food on my plate ;) Also I would hope they put a bit more Vegan options

Pros: Amazing atmosphere, Good service, Good food quality

Cons: Expensive, Could have more vegan options, Poor food quantity

Nice lunch, trendy place, but bit overpriced

We had a nice lunch. Food was good. But not 'wow'. And the 'lettuce' dish with rice noodles came with the instruction to make ‘spingrolls’ myself, with the big lettuce leaves. This turned out to be sheer impossible and quite a messy and unhandy affair, so I just mingled everything together. :-D (lettuce leaves also had quite some black edges, not nice).

Very nice decor. Friendly and swift service.

Somewhat overpriced in comparison to other places in Barcelona. But I guess you pay for the photographic interior.

Seems promising, disappoints greatly...

When you visit a venue that charges you ca 45€ for three courses and a drink, you expect the level of quality to be fairly high, you can't sell run-of-the-mill food at these prices.

The locale is quite pleasant, with exception for the music and the bleeping smartpads of the waiting-staff.

I ordered the muhammara, the cashew cheese-pizza and the curry which unfortunately comes with black rice. I tried to have the black rice substituted for rice noodles which are included in other dishes, but they refuse substitutions, in spite of it being served standalone in a bowl on the side.

Regardless, the wait wasn't long, my starter was brought out after only ca 20 minutes. It was a very small bowl of the paprika/walnut-dish, but mixed to a uniform paste, the taste of which was subtle and did not seem to have a sufficient amount of walnuts to bear a taste of it, quite disappointing. It was served with toasted slivers of pita bread and a few sticks of carrot/fennel.

The pizza was a veritable mess - the pizza was not very well covered in the "cheese" and was piled with a mixture of various vegetables, some of which were very long or stick-shaped which led to a mikado-effect when trying to eat it. It also had haricots verts, soy beans, and some odd leaves. The "cheese" was a huge disappointment, it was merely a blend between what seems like a small amount of cashew nuts and green peas, the flavour was leaning heavily in favour of the peas and quite sweet - not a flavour you want smeared on a pizza without counterbalance, which was conspicuously lacking. It only tasted of the raw bitterness of the leaf veggies, the sweetness of the peas and the soggy dough. Embarrassing.

The curry bore very little resemblance to a curry, even though the flavour wasn't bad, it was not particularly good. The veggies were filler-veg, nothing extravagant except a few leaves of basil - not thai-basil, the european/genovesian kind, it seemed entirely out of place. The sauce was smooth and rich of coconut milk, which is the only thing one can say in its favour, since the flavour left much to be desired.

The Green Spot is a huge disappointment and not worth the money. I might add that I was asked to not place wet wipes on the supposedly "delicate" table, which definitely didn't look it. The reason I had the wetwipes was that a staffer had in the background dropped a fork on the floor, simply picked it up and carried on sorting the other "clean" utensils without washing their hands...

instagram worthy

Both the place and the dishes seem like they have been taken out of a hipster instagram picture. Food is tasty but not cheap.

Cons: pricey

Excellent vegetarian burger

Green Spot was an excellent vegetarian/vegan restaurant.

Really modern, clean and with cool ambience. Many different selections of flavors, from more elaborate dishes to burgers, which give the restaurant a big thumb up for choices.

All the dishes were prepare and presented really well. All packed with amazing flavors and combinations.

Staff was friendly and helpful in explaining the various dishes and options!

Will be one of our best restaurant each time will visit Barcellona.

Pros: Selection, Fresh pasta

Himmlisch... 😇

WOW!!!

I came here in July 2017, and loved everything, it was perfection it self, the food was amazing, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I was in Spain with my family and am the only vegan in the family, (with my dad being the complete opposite and my mum being a sort of flexitarian) so I chose to come here and my meat eating family still say it is there favourite restaurant, it is my all-time favourite restaurant too. Thank you so much Green Spot!!

Pros: The food was incredible, So many different options, EVERYTHING!!!

Cons: I can't think of any cons!!

terrible service and mediocre food

I had a reservation and was seated right away, but it took forever to get menu and service. I ordered my food and for a place that is highly recommended by Happy Cow and others, I was disappointed in the flavors.
I also had the carrot cake for dessert and it was dry and lacking in spices.

The best green salad ever!

We found this place yesterday and we were happy that they welcomed us without having reservation, as it looked like this sort of place where reservation is a must and we were wearing shorts ;)
Generally, it was a lovely experience -> the service and the food were magic!
I decided to have a green smoothie with my food and I found it quite watery and small for the price for 6 EUR, so would not recommend that.
My main, however - green salad (despite sounding really boring ;) ) - was probably the best salad I have ever had! A perfect combination of beans, sprouts, avocado, etc...
My husband had a pizza with similar WOW effect :)
Then the deserts... We had brownie (amazing!!!) and carrot cake (great, but far too big and really heavy). So I do not recommend the carrot cake after a meal, even after salad, unless you share it.
But generally -> lovely place + great service and would gladly come again :)

Pros: Atmosphere and deco, FOOD!!!!!, Service

Cons: smoothie

beautiful food

Beautiful environment, well selected dishes excellently prepared and presented. It's not often you find a meal so well made that you can taste the fine balance of herbs and good quality produce. We went after a day of exercise, so we were huuungry, could have done with slightly bigger portion. Definitely going to be our regular "dinner with friends" place. Service was fantastic as my partner has a few allergies, the staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.

Pros: amazing good quality food, beautiful environment , great service

Cons: portion could be a little bigger, but wasn't a bad

Beautiful restaurant and beautiful food

I had a beautiful salad and an exotic fruit platter for dessert. Though simple dishes, they were very tasty. This place has lots of vegan and raw options. It's a little fancy which I didn't realise before I went there. If I were to go again I would dress up a little.

Cons: Not all vegan

Mucha onda

Pros: Muchas opciones veganas, y opciones gluten free y

Fantastic food

A really nice and elegant restaurant with a good atmosphere. It's not the cheapest food in Barcelona, but it is really good. The bean burger is my favorite and is delicious.

Loved it

Cool restaurant, delicous food, prices ok for the quality.
We had the "Bruschetta Spot" with smoked burrata and Favas, very good and refreshing with very cold topping on warm bread.
Then the black pizza and the swett potato spaghetti with Madadamia nut cream and black truffles. We loved all!

One star less as they didn't find the confirmed reservation and while just sitting at the table at 8.40pm being told that we need to leave by 10pm. It was enough time for us as we don't eat dessert. The staff in general is very fast and attentive but also very unpersonal (no "how was ut, do you need anything else...).

We would definitely go back for the food and the ambiance.

The closest thing to fine dining in Barcelona

This restaurant is a bit different from most vegetarian restaurants in Barcelona. It has modern and light interior, clearly inspired by Scandinavian design. The menue is extensive, with raw and gluten free options.

Great experience all around.

What a delightful place. Delicious and creative food. Very friendly and attentive staff. Nice decor and music. A very nice experience.
Reservations are a must, as they are usually full. But if you don't know about that,c and arrive hungry and hopeful,... ask nicely and they might make room for you at the bar. :-)

Excellent vegetarían restaurant

I really like this restaurant. It has a very good variety of veggie options, very good quality and a very nice deco.
The only think I miss is that they do not have vegan deserts, not a single option. Which I find quite unusual given the fact that they are so close to the vegan public...

Pros: Decoration, Quality of meals, Variety

Cons: Don t have vegan deserts

Just the spot

As many have already commented the decor inside the Green Spot is simply stunning, modern and chic but not in a pretentious way. Depending on where you are seated you can also see the marina. The staff are very attentive and friendly too putting you at ease straight away and most importantly the food is great. We went for lunch and ordered the yellow spot curry with black rice (€14.75) and the Sun choy bao tofu setas (€10.50), both of which were presented beautifully and tasted even better with a great depth of flavour. Some may say these prices are expensive but we thought it was value for money and will definitely return again. We also got a raspberry lemonade and apple press juice (€3.25) to wash it down, very refreshing indeed. If I did have one con, I would personally like to see a few more vegan options. In summary, Green Spot is a must to go to when you visit Barcelona but I would advise booking.

Pros: Excellent tasty food, Great decor, Friendly staff

Cons: Few more vegan options would be nice

Fantastic

Delicious, I think the food I had here is probably the best vegan food I have ever eaten. The green hemp pizza was perfection. My partner had the sweet potato tagliatelle, looked unsure of it when it arrived but after one mouthful relised it was exceptional. The flavours are incredible every mouthful was a delight. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff where friendly and effficient. Not the cheapest, but certainly worth every single cent. I haven't got a bad word for this restaurant.

Pros: Fabulous Food, Great choice for vegans, Beautiful restaurant
