Nice degustation menu - Edit
We enjoyed the degustation menu but I think we expected a bit more after reading all the wonderful reviews. Let’s say it was not mind blowing. The food was nice but the quantity was a bit to small (we ordered one thing each from the menu cause we were hungry). One of the girls of the staff was very nice while the other one… well it’s Paris. The place gets very very noisy when full so the atmosphere is not as nice as it could be.

Visited The Friendly Kitchen based off of the recommendation of a local Happycow’er. I ordered the Kohlrabi “raviole” with ponzu sauce and the Black rice risotto with satay sauce. I enjoyed them both but the risotto was my fav. A bread basket was also included, which was nice.

For the taste and quality of the food, just let me point to all the rave reviews by others. It’s vegan fine dining just a little bit below a Michelin star in terms of food composition, complexity and design, in a very friendly and casual atmosphere. What struck us most is the price. If you choose a la carte, you pay the same as in (nearly) all the other vegan restaurants in Paris, that is around 20 € for a main dish, starters and desserts are cheaper as usual. That is you can get tasty, but otherwise “normal”, household food like a vegan burger or lasagne in one place that also has 4,5 or 5 stars on Happy Cow for the same money you pay at this place for an elaborate, high class, instagrammable (if you care) dish with several distinct components. What’s not to love! If you’re really into food, by all means opt for the menu decouverte (pre-booking is obligatory for that offer, and it is not available on every day).

Lovely atmosphere and great service with friendly staff, happy to speak English. The food is high quality and well presented. Not the place to go if you have a large appetite as the portions are quite small - needed some carbs to fill the other half of the plate! I think you really need all three courses, which then works out quite expensive. The cheese was amazing - so nice to have the option of a cheese board, although it could have been bigger. Not sure I would return for a family meal due to the price but would definitely go again as a couple for a special treat.

My partner and I was looking forward to trying their 5-6 course meal, but was told that it was only offered on specific days. We tried some items from their menu and was blown away by the flavors. The portions were small, but the flavors made up for it. Be sure to make a reservation as it gets filled up fast.

This was a healthier restaurant than I would usually visit. Portions were small but the food was delicious. The cheese plate was incredible. I had to stop eating and double check it was a vegan restaurant because it tasted so authentic. Creamy, tangy, like the very best French cheese. Not to be missed.

I wanted to try their food for a while because the photos of it looked outstanding. Well, surprisingly, it tasted as good as it looked. A real vegan and gluten-free restaurant which gives you many new ideas how to prepare vegan food. We tried lunch formula with starter and main dish for 25€ but we should come back to enjoy their dinner menu as well. Good value for money.

Exquisite food and atmosphere - Edit
The food here is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented - all of the flavours were so intricate and well balanced. It felt like a huge amount of work had gone into every dish and to each element of the dish - every one of the ingredients was perfectly cooked and the flavours combined amazingly. The staff were also some of the friendliest if encountered. Will without a doubt we will return here next time we’re in Paris!

Often disappointed by restaurants that propose dishes I could make at home, I was thrilled to be swept away by the colors and flavors of the friendly kitchen. I am a sucker for presentation, and this place did not disappoint. The flavors and combinations are truly thoughtful and multi-dimensional, a real treat worth the splurge.

We reserved on the early side and were able to choose a table where our luggage would need minimal supervision. The waiter wasn’t bothered by our request to change the focus of one of the overhead lights so that it wasn’t so bright. Basically, we weren’t treated as “chiant” and the dinner was truly a pleasure. I can be quoted as saying “THIS is what I expect when I go to a restaurant!” I’d definitely go back, although I’d save it for special occasions or go at lunch to save a few bucks. Worth it!

We booked here (I would advise this as it got quite busy). We ended up sharing an entrée, a vegan cheese plate. This was my dream cheese plate. The crackers were delicious and I loved all the cheeses. I had a kombucha as well which was nice. For my main, I chose a black rice with satay sauce and tempeh. There was lots of flavour and I didn’t feel like bursting when I finished but I did feel like I had a decent meal. For my dessert I couldn’t resist the café liègeois. The cream was very nice and the coffee was strong. My partner enjoyed the koftas that he has and the hot chocolate. Really nice service and lovely for a special occasion.

Wonderful, creative, tasty vegan food - Edit
We arrived tired and stressed after a long car journey. We almost walked out because the waitress was a tiny bit slow in taking our order. I'm so glad we didn't. Once we explained that we wanted to eat quickly the food was on the table in 10 minutes and it was excellent. The service was very good and you got the feeling that staff enjoyed working in the restaurant. My wife saw that the restaurant has a cook book and I've just started using it. My first attempt was a wonderful vegan shepherds pie. We ate quickly because we were tired and stressed but really this is a restaurant in which to take your time and savour the delicious and creative food.
