Was once a great place to eat; now extremely overrated. - Edit
I used to love this place. I loved the Mac and cheese, the jackfruit tacos, the burgers. Then they changed the Mac and cheese recipe, reduced the portion of tacos, and jacked up all their prices.
Read moreEvery time I go in they are charging more. £12 for a burger? Come on to hell. The standard has dropped massively and I'm really disappointed. I'll never be eating here again, I just can't justify it any more. It's such a shame.
Pros: Used to serve delicious food.
Cons: So average and well overpriced.

Vegan Grunge bar - Edit
This looks at first site like an alternative music venue and the decor certainly supports that. But it is a vegan food place too. We had a great burger, mac and cheese and some fries. I would imagine it rocks at night, but was quiet at lunch time.

Cons: If you’re over 35 it’s a bit grungy

Cool place - Edit
I had the Christmas Seitan burger with potatoes and a side of Mac n cheese. The burger was delicious. M&C was okay. Also had an Americano, which was small and not that warm. I liked the bar environment. Food was pricey (£12 for a burger is not what I would call competitive). I wasn’t keen on the (rap) music being played, but this could have been a one off. I’ve uploaded a few pictures. Would go back. Not sure if there’s access for disabled people as you have to go down many steps into the bar.

Cons: Expensive, Poor (and loud) music

I adore flying duck. If ever I'm in Glasgow, especially if I'm with an Omni companion, it's my go to. My favourite thing is there specials board burgers.

I ate here two nights in a row when I was up with work. This is where I’d take my non-vegan friends if they asked what vegan food is like. I bloody loves it

Peng peng peng - Edit
The place is in like a basement with all the walls decoracted and the bar looking sick and the menu is so massive. Some of it is a bit expensive but i bet portion wise it makes up for it. They host events too which is so cute - i went during the christmas market!! My nachos were good and i wish i had tried to mac and cheese!

Fast food in huge portions - Edit
If you want a vegan burger which tries to imitate a meat burger, you can get a decent one here. I must say I found the portion too large and I disliked the vegan cheese they put on it - it was very fatty and there was too much of it. The pretzel buns are much better. Burgers come with nachos, not fries.
Read moreThe atmosphere is okay, it is a restaurant in a cellar so there are no windows, only artificial light. Service is close to non-existent as you order and pay at the counter. There are better all-vegan places in Glasgow.
Pros: Good pretzel buns
Cons: Vegan cheese is too much and too fatty, Portions are crazy large

Great food, unfriendly staff - Edit
The food was great and prices are decent. However, the staff is very unfriendly, one of the waitresses almost rolled her eyes when we asked for an extra plate because we were sharing. Also, the toilet is very unclean

Great food, but hit or miss - Edit
When it’s good, the flying duck is great but sadly it can be a bit hit or miss. We’ve visited a lot and sometimes the food is perfect, sometimes it’s really lacking (even when having the same dishes that have previously been great.) The staff are pretty hit and miss too. Some are really friendly but we’ve often been treated more like an inconvenience than customers. They have a really good menu with lots to choose from and we return time and time again, but wish it was consistently great as we know it can be.

Cons: Food isn’t always great, Staff often unfriendly , Often dark and loud

I'm still dreaming of the facon on the Canadian budget it's so good. The fake meats here are scarily good. Good job I don't live in Glasgow as I would probably eat here every day. Lovely atmosphere and drag bingo was a great surprise! A must go to if you're visiting Glasgow!

Oh my 🤤 - Edit
This was the best vegan food I’ve had in a long time. I’m from Melbourne where we have great vegan pub food but this was next level. I had a chocolate milkshake and a cheesy sub and it was drool worthy. The staff were so lovely and friendly as well and gave good recommendations. The vibes are also sick if you love that underground grunge feel. Don’t miss out on going here if you’re in Glasgow!

Good - Edit
I really like the Flying Duck as a night venue for drinks. Also good for food. Have been a few times and have always had delicious food, apart from once when I ordered a seitan burger, was presented with a chickpea one, and when I sent it back was told it was definitely seitan. It wasn't - as someone who has never eaten meat I know what a chickpea tastes like. However I still recommend it!! And they do student discount

best burgers in Glasgow - Edit
When my boyfriend booked here for dinner and I saw the menu was mostly burgers (but not exclusively) I fel a bit disappointed. But he loves their burgers and along I went. I picked the brooklyn burger with cajun patty and oh my! This is the best vegan burger I have had. I find alot of vegan burgers the same and hence why I wasn't too excited about going here. This place blows all other burgers out the park. It was served with tortilla chips, guac, salsa and slaw. The mac came recommend and didn't disapppoint and the chili chesse nachos were delicious.

Always has your back with great food and atmosphere. Go if you’re feeling sh**e and go if you’re feeling great. Loads of seating as well and who doesn’t love to be embarrassed by attempting pool. The milkshakes are god tier.
