A vegan bar!?

A really cool space with a nice outside area. The food is to die for and there are tons of awesome brews to be had. A fantastic place to visit on our trip to Portland. If we lived local you would find me here daily :-).

Pros: Vegan bar!

Yum!

Super cool place with an all vegan menu. I got the Pretzel Knots (dang, so good) and the Eastern Bowl. The Pretzel Knots came with housemade cashew cheeze and spicy mustard. Seriously so good. The Eastern Bowl was yummy as well and a big portion. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Order at the bar.

Pros: Creative dishes, All vegan

Dude, Man! You gotta Go!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Bye And Bye!

How is a bar that serves bomb vegan food not a good idea?

The food is affordable, happy hour makes it even better!

Truthfully what the bye-and-bye cranks out of their kitchen has more flavor and is honestly more 'healthy' for you than most vegan food carts and vegan food spots in and around Portland.

The staff is very attentive. The wait isn't long. The place is always busy. I highly recommend trying the Samurai Bowl or the Tofu Salad. Sometimes my friend and I will just pick 3 sides for $10. You can get sides like: collard greens, black-eyed peas, brussel sprouts, brown rice, and more.

It's home-away-from-home.

Pros: Vegan Bar Food! Heck YES!, Quick Service. , Lots of seating options!

great spot

We sat outside on a warm evening and had the meatball sub with brussels sprouts. The dry cider was heavenly. Loved the atmosphere here and the service. Highly recommend.

Good Vegan Food

I still can't believe that a bar serves this kind of yummy, vegan fare. I am a pretty picky eater but lots of sides to choose from here makes it easy to get what I want. The nutritional yeast crusted tofu is divine--best I have ever had. The first time I visited, the music was way too loud for my taste, especially on a Sunday at noon. We sat on the back patio the second time, and I don't remember the music being an issue.

Pros: Awesome tofu, Really good food

Cons: Have to order at the bar, Music too loud

Vegan Bar and so much more!

My favorite spot to stop in Portland. I'm so happy that I found this place. The one thing that really bums me out, besides the senseless slaughter of animals, is not being able to have a Bloody Mary when I've gone out these last 13 years since I've been legal to drink. So, its always nice to stumble across a vegan bar when I'm in a new city. The Bloody Mary here doesn't disappoint either. It was well crafted and delicious. They also feature a bunch of specialty cocktails that are equally great as well.
The food here was as fantastic as well. Get the Pretzel Knots! They come with cashew cheese and stone ground mustard and were fabulous. The meatball sub with almond Parmesan and oat cheese totally hit the spot!

Pros: Friendly Staff, Excellent Food, Great Cocktails

Our favorite vegan place in Portland

We go to B&B every week to eat dinner. I get the Eastern Bowl, and my wife gets spaghetti or grilled cheese or another bowl. Make sure you try the cake or cheesecake, so good! Great staff and cool environment.

Pros: Delicious food and desserts, Great beer selection

Cons: Reduced menu after 10pm, Parking can be difficult

great experience

I ate the BBQ tofu bowl and it was amazing! Filled me up and I enjoyed every single bite. Busy place on a Saturday night. Dim lit, lots of people and real nice vibe to the whole place. Good drinks. I had the bye and bye to drink and it came in a really big mason jar. We will be back very soon!! Yay for vegan goodness 💚

Pros: everything

Cons: nothing

Fun, hip place, Lively energy, friendly staff. Everything is vegan! We can eat anything on the menu! What a pleasure! I especially enjoy the Ruben sandwich and my husband usually gets a bowl. We always get a dessert and take it home. Great cocktail menu too!

Pros: All items are Vegan, great food and cocktails, outdoor seating too, friendly staff

Meatball Sub

My favorite meal to get here is the meatball sub! So good! and at their sister bar, Sweet Hereafter, I like to get their Buffalo Sub. They're both delicious! I also enjoy their Spaghetti (same sauce and meetballs as the sub!) They're grilled cheese is pretty yummy too! If you have a craving for a grilled cheese it hits the spot!

Pros: Location/Great Area, Good Prices, Great Menu

Cons: No Kids after 8pm, Menu doesn't change, Doesn't have ALL the same items as sister bar

Great Food, Great Music

I'm not a Portland native and am here for a conference, so I don't know how consistent this place is. I came in around 9:45pm and got a Samurai Bowl at the bar, which came out as tofu with nutritional yeast on top next to a good helping of broccoli, topped with a peanut butter dressing and sriracha. I'm not sure if it was exactly what was advertised in the description, but it was fantastic nevertheless! I also got a North Williams to drink, which is a ginger beer cocktail. I was very satisfied. The music was great. The bartender was attentive and energetic.

Pros: Great food, Great drinks, Great music

Cons: Meal not as described on menu (but still good!)

Cool bar

This bar is kind of neat in that it is not obvious that it is a vegan place at all. A good place to grab a drink or casual meal. It is kid-friendly in the daytime.

I had the meatball sub and my husband had the grilled cheese. Both were good.

Lots of seating.

Pros: Good food, Lots of seating.
