Great veg burger and beer! - Edit
This place was great! Well priced, delicious, big portions, tasty beer. The bye and bye burger could have been better paired with fries than the kettle chips they serve, but it was still incredible and one of my favourite veg burgers I’ve ever had! The edamame was also delicious and an unexpectedly large portion😄

Fantastic, affordable, big portioned food - Edit
The food at The Bye and Bye was FANTASTIC! It’s not an exaggeration when I say this was one of my favourite vegan restaurants I’ve ever visited. The food was amazing, with great prices and large portions. The atmosphere was also great, with a huge outdoor seating area and a lively crowd of patrons.
Read moreWe ordered the broccoli peanut sauce tofu bowl, the burger, edamame, and a berry flavoured cake. All of the food was delicious and I don’t have any complaints. Definitely more than enough food to fill up and have some leftovers. This restaurant definitely deserves a visit!
Pros: Huge portions, Great price, Outdoor seating

Who doesn’t love a broccoli bowl? - Edit
I’ve only tried the peanut broccoli bowl so far. It was a big helping of food, enough for 2 meals. I like how they use nutritional yeast on the tofu and the peanut sauce is very tasty. Look forward to trying something else next time.

Lovely spot for drinks and casual dinner - Edit
Had a great time with my friends, there is quite a bit of outdoor seating that was full when we were there but looks really cute. The staff is really helpful and attentive. The italian sub was really good and also the cucumber gin cocktail!

I enjoyed the Italian Sub and Cornmeal Breaded Tempeh. Spacious establishment with a nice walk-up bar and a good variety of indoor and outdoor seating options. Good social vibe and music makes this a nice spot to meet up with friends.

My, Oh, My at The Bye and Bye - Edit
I ordered a Rose Palmer, pretzel knots, and the peanut broccoli bowl. I didn't taste the rosemary in the Rose Palmer, so it just tasted like an Arnold Palmer to me, but that's fine. I still enjoyed the pretzel knots even though I wasn't impressed with the cashew cheese sauce, and I didn't like the stone-ground mustard at all. Despite (or because of?) its simplicity, I love the peanut broccoli bowl for its flavor and balance of ingredients; it's not just mostly rice. The bowl is so big, you should bring a container for leftovers!

We’ve been coming here for years. The BBQ Brussel Bowl has always been our daughter’s favorite. Today we just got classic Bye and Bye cocktails, not as peachy as we remember, but still yummy.

Good food, chill atmosphere - Edit
Got the Chipotle Mac n cheese and really enjoyed it! Ordered a side of edamame for myself and bowl easily big enough for 2 came out. It was a really delicious snack. Chilled here working on my laptop for a bit, enjoyed the Monday night vibes. Lots of indoor and outdoor (covered/heated) seating options.

Alright, not my favorite - Edit
Idk, I've never been the biggest fan of their menu. It's not super creative and I wish they'd have more shared plates/starters. Who doesn't enjoy sharing finger foods at a bar?
Read moreThe back garden is really where The Bye and Bye shines though, it's soooo green! Drinks are also okay, it's a pretty nice environment too. Do wish they wouldn't allow smoking in the seating area out front though, it spreads all over.
Pros: Nice back patio, Legit bar that's fully vegan, nice environment
Cons: Smoking area is quite large, Not enough starters/shared plates

Great food and good beer - Edit
I had the meatball sub, the pretzel twists, and an amazingly delicious sour beer. The sub was really good for having smaller meatballs. The pretzel twists are absolutely delicious. They are so soft and the cheese is the bomb.

Great drinks with excellent food options. Chipotle Mac and cheese was amazing. Differently more a bar with food than a restaurant though, so it depends what you are looking for.

Love the large fenced patio area. - Edit
The vibe here is really chill. Very lax. Love the vegan food, I always order twice, one for later. The patio has a huge raincover/shaded area. There are several tables that give a very healthy 6 foot space between. I've never been unhappy coming here.

Overall good but too fast to clean the table - Edit
Went inside for a second beer and lost my table. Gonna chalk that up to being busy due to covid outdoor only. I recommend it if you are in Portland.
