A miss for me - Edit
Maybe I got the wrong thing but I didn’t enjoy this spot. I’d give it another chance though, because it seems popular and like a great hangout place.

Portland fav - Edit
What's cooler than an all vegan bar?! The Bye and Bye is a Portland staple with a hint of 2010's hipster vibe.
Read moreAmple indoor seating and a ton of outdoor seating in both their back and front patios, most of which is covered and heated. Awesome spot for large gatherings!
Extensive drink menu along with n/a options that are well priced.
My only gripe is the food. It's not typical bar food as their are few burgers and lots of bowls, however the bowls aren't typical "healthy" bowls. Nothing on the menu has ever been great to me, always a bit lacking. Most people seem to enjoy the food, so it must be a me issue.
If you haven't been here, absolutely give The Bye and Bye a try!

Dry bun and mac, microwaved patty, trashy food - Edit
Pretty much one of the most garbage restaurant/bars I’ve had the displeasure of eating at. The burger lazily came with potato chips, the bun super dry and the Beyond patty very gooey, as if microwaved to order. The decor is pretty god awful too. Alcohol tastes good but can’t really mess that up.

Cool Vegan Spot - Edit
Great vibes. We were passing through (last meal before catching a flight). I got the meatball sub and my vegan AF wife got the peanut broccoli bowl. The sub fell apart a little but was otherwise good (Beyond meatballs). The bowl was reported to be “10 out of 10, would eat again.” Service fine.

Great spot ! - Edit
Great spot, great atmosphere. So cool to go to a 100% vegan bar! Soycurl wrap and soft pretzel appetizers are top hits ! We also tried the buffalo sandwich and the Obie bowl, both of which were too salty.

A few Southern inspired vegan sides - Edit
I popped in the Bye and Bye because I heard they had vegan Southern cuisine. I’m in Portland looking for vegan soul food. This wasn’t what I was looking for, but the food was still good. Next time, I’m trying the Bye and Bye Beyond Burger without the onions. They have a couple of Southern-inspired sides on the menu, so I got a few of those, and they were good.

Pros: Laidback grown-up hipster spot w/ seating indoors., Outside seating next to vegan food trucks., Cool family-friendly neighborhood with lots to do.
Cons: Burgers for $15? Portland, y’all rich & bourgee.

Fun atmosphere, good brunch choices - Edit
Came here for Sunday brunch and ordered the tofu scramble. It came with yummy black beans and potatoes, although the scramble was a bit salty for my taste. My companions lived their French toast and waffles.

Love! - Edit
This place is awesome! Friendly staff, great vibes, and a diverse menu of bowls and sandwiches. I got the BBQ platter, which came with BBQ tofu, collared greens, beans, and garlic bread, and it was super hearty and delicious.

Exceptional brunch - Edit
This place is outstanding! I got the Eggs Benedict, and they were delicious. This was my first time eating poached imitation eggs, and I was very pleased with them. The hollandaise sauce was just like I remember from my dairy days.

I've been coming here for years. If I'm honest, it's probably not worth 5 stars in the Portland vegan scene in 2024 and I always preferred Sweet Hereafter (still sad it's gone), but the good memories push it over the top as a place I'll always keep coming back to

Unique food options and awesome atmosphere - Edit
We came in for a late dinner and some drinks. We had the peanut broccoli bowl which was super unique, and then topped it off with the mac and cheese. The food was tasteful and filling. Would recommend for a late night better-than-bar-food option.

Always my place to go whenever I shop at the Natural Grocers several blocks down the street. Often have hard to decide what to order. Everything is so good! Expect to spend minutes finding a park, though.

One of a kind - Edit
This was my first experience at a fully vegan pub and it truly impressed me. Bonus points it was walking distance to our house. My favorite thing on the menu is the spaghetti or for a real treat- Pretzels and cheeze dip!!! If you aren’t a drinker- they have great kombucha and other options. Dog friendly ! Great patio space. Gets a bit loud indoors, but it’s a pub!!

I didn’t talk till my food was gone! - Edit
So good!! We ordered the chips and salsa, pretzel knots, and the Weeping Tiger Sandwich. It all came out at the same time and I went for the sandwich first. I didn’t say another word till it was gone! I’m laughing writing about it 🤣 like let’s pay some respect in silence for this delicious sandwich!! 🙌🏼 Finding a good vegan sandwich is no easy task so hats off to Bye and Bye! That being said, I do think toasting the bread would allow it to better hold through eating the sandwich. The bread fell apart within two bites just because it’s soft. Since I ate the sandwich first the other two food items were not necessary and my taste buds weren’t having it.
