The sandwich fillings were so flavorful, vegan cheese, grilled veggies, hummus etc, and the bread was really soft and thick and actually the bread itself was just really tasty! I liked whatever spread they used in place of butter too. The oatcake with hummus was yummy and the pickled cucumbers were right up my street. Loads of crisps too!
The cakes (scone, red velvet and a chocolate cupcakey thing that looks deceptively small in the photo - in actual fact it was like the size of my fist) were amazing and the chocolate one especially so. The sponge was SO fluffy and the icing was gorgeous. I was being a greedy birthday girl so asked if I could have another and they recommended the HUGE chocolate fudge cake in the counter so I got a big slab of that and it was like more of the same (which is fab as that's what I wanted) but actually EVEN better! SUCH thick icing, made with salted butter and not unsalted which is good as that's what I like. Unlimited tea and coffee so I had a million coffees and they were REALLY good.
I absolutely loved this afternoon tea and will 1000% be going back. Everything was so fresh!!!

Had the vegan breakfast upstairs at the Tea Rooms. It’s a decent enough feed for £12 odd. I don’t like a lot of the elements (beans, mushrooms) so a more customisable option would’ve been better. Only vg option on the breakfast menu.

I loved the potato and leek soup (with yummy bread and vegan butter) and the breaded aubergine burger with vegan bacon, baby gem lettuce, and a vegan basil mayonnaise served with chips and a side of cucumber pickle. So delicious and the staff was friendly

💭: We had a vegan afternoon tea for 2 people so this was doubled in our stand hence the amount of sandwiches and double up of cakes. Everything was lovely (especially the little sponge cakes). We got to pick our choice of sandwiches

📝: Lovely cosy cafe. Great place to have vegan afternoon tea in Glasgow - first place I have came across that does a vegan afternoon tea here
