Our new favorite Vietnamese Restaurant - Edit
All of the vegan options available blew us away. Plus, there are even more options if you include the ability to make modifications.
Read moreThis is an entirely vegetarian/vegan Vietnamese Restaurant.
They have a small rack of Vietnamese treats for sale and a cooler with drinks that can be grabbed and gone.
We ordered the fresh spring rolls- and loved the crispy tofu inside the spring rolls. The dipping sauce was delicious and unique- we loved it.
We ordered the tofu banh mi with vegan mayonnaise, which was a huge portion and very good. Again, however, they make their tofu crispy, which is so good, and it is added to the sandwich.
We also ordered the G5—braised eggplant and mushroom dish. It was served in a beautiful clay pot with a lid and a side of white rice. The dish had excellent flavor, but I thought it was slightly salty. The waitress told us that it was a salty dish and that instead of adding rice, we should add the main dish to the rice. This was very clever and a tip we'll use going forward.
She sent us home with our leftovers and an additional side of rice. Honestly, there is enough for an entire extra meal.
The service was excellent. Friendly and knowledgable
Our meal was incredible, and we will tell everyone we know to eat here!

Huge vegan selection & portions - Edit
What a great restaurant! Nearly every seat was taken during lunch on a Saturday, which is always a good sign. There are SO many vegan menu options to choose from, and the food was SO good that I see myself coming here often.
Read moreThe Spring Rolls (menu item # A1) were fresh, tasty and healthy, given they were not deep fried. The peanut sauce served with it was fantastic and complimented the Spring Rolls well.
The Vegan Spicy Beef Noodle Soup (menu item # D1) was huge portion-wise, as were the pieces of tofu and “beef” within the soup. It was served piping hot temperature-wise. The spice level was perfect and did not overpower or mask the wonderful taste of the other ingredients.
VEGAN MENU ITEMS
Vegan menu items are clearly marked with a green leaf and include 7 appetizers, 4 types of Pho, 5 noodle soups, 1 rice entrée, 1 stir fry, and 17 Chef’s Specials.
Pros: 35 vegan menu items, Nicely decorated interior

Phenomenal - Edit
An extensive menu with many labeled vegan options. Many non-vegan options can easily be made vegan.
Read moreThe egg rolls were probably the best I’ve ever had. Fresh, flavorful and non greasy.
The orange tofu was perfectly fried and seasoned. The banh mi can be made vegan by asking to switch for vegan mayonnaise.
Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. Food came out quickly and was all great. I think they could improve their labeling on menus. #Veganuary

It wasn’t great - Edit
The night we went it smelled like they just spilled a gallon of cleaner on the floor. There definitely was an overpowering odor which was not pleasant for a restaurant. Their menu was confusing as to what exactly was vegan, they had a vegan leaf icon next to things that had appeared to be vegetarian and the vegan named items had ingredients that might have been questionable as to if they were actually vegan. They also listed beef, chicken and fish as “extras” which there was no indication that they were plant based or meat. It brings me to question if this place is actually a fully vegetarian restaurant. Needless to say their menu needs work.
Read moreWe tried the orange tofu, pad Thai, and lemongrass tofu and they were all completely different from what we were expecting. The orange tofu had an overpowering ginger flavor, the pad Thai also only tasted like ginger, and the lemongrass tofu was just fried tofu with an incredibly spicy dry coating…there was no sauce. The cucumber sides were coated in some kind of brine that tasted funny and the broccoli wasn’t steamed enough to actually cut it with a fork and was too big to reasonably eat without cutting it. I really wanted to love the food, I just didn’t.

So many amazing options - Edit
For years, I had to avoid almost everything on a Vietnamese restaurant menu, now I can eat almost everything. Nearly everything can be vegan, and everything is delicious. (The non-vegan items are vegetarian.) I'm especially excited by dishes like Braised Fish with Pepper (Ca Kho Tieu Chay). Check it out!

Very good- but not only vegan food - Edit
I got curry noodle soup and it was 10/10. Presentation was very cute and I liked that they kept the noodles out of the soup so you can add them as you want. Not 5 stars bc not only vegan food

Great variety and quality - Edit
The staff are well-versed with vegan options and can make almost anything on the menu vegan. I recommend the pad thai and the braised mushrooms, but everything is fresh, well crafted, and complex. Not run of the mill.

The food was excellent. Best dumplings I've had in the twin cities, possibly ever. The staff is super nice, and were prepared to veganize any dish. My second favorite restaurant in the city as of now. Will definitely be going back.

They have vegan mayo! Be sure to ask, unsure if milk tea can be made vegan. They must use powder for the flavors? Had their green tea strawberry orange and it was good

Worth it - Edit
Walk in, head towards the counter and then you will be asked if you are dining in or getting takeout. The menus provided seemed different than the online menu but who cares since they have so many vegan options. The service was attentive and the food came out quickly. I’ll be back.

Delicious food! - Edit
Went there for dinner tonight for the first time and it was a great experience. Good service, but it’s difficult to figure out what’s vegan from the menu. We made sure to tell our server we are vegan and to request no egg, but would love if the vegan options were marked more clearly.

This is a good restaurant with potential to be great! - Edit
Very friendly staff! Good, fresh quality food. Large portions. Travelled from Wisconsin to eat here and were very pleased. I like my food spicy but, since others in our party don’t, I opted for ‘as it came’ which was not very spicy! Will ask the chefs to giv’er next time.

Good food and variety - Edit
Edit 4/29: been here a couple times since, added a star because the menu variety and options really are quite good.
Read moreJust tried Thanh Luong for the first time with my husband—we liked everything we got, though it wasn’t as good as we really hoped. Ordered summer rolls (very good, came with a slightly spicy nước chấm style dipping sauce), lemongrass chili tofu (fine), and bún bò Huế (spicy beef noodle soup) which was good. I had the bún Huế and liked the variety of tofu and mock meats included as well as the herbs/bean sprouts/extras to put on top, but I wished the broth were spicier and more flavorful. Prices are fair ($6 summer rolls, $13 for big portion of tofu and rice, $17 I think for the very large bowl of noodle soup) and it would be easy for two people to split one appetizer and one entree.
The location is typical strip mall, I wish there were more soft furnishings or a drop ceiling as it was quite loud. The women’s restroom was also a little odd with the toilet paper holder tied to the wall.

I love it! - Edit
I'd consider it to be comfort food. Very large portions. Very tasty.
Read moreI got the Combination Vermicelli Bowl, and my partner got the Orange Tofu. The vermicelli bowl is usually not vegan because it contains egg rolls, but they made a fresh batch of vegan egg rolls for my dish. Seriously the best egg/spring rolls I've had in my life. The orange tofu was delicious. The sauce was a little less heavy/gloopy a little more fruity and a lot more flavorful than I general expect from orange tofu.
The menu is somewhat large, so there's a lot of options.
The atmosphere was standard for a strip mall restaurant. It was clean, but not fancy. Lots of Buddhist art on the wall.
They're a new restaurant (as of Feb. 2024), and other reviews I've read have said they've had some struggles with getting delivery 100% perfect, but I'm sure that'll get worked out soon. For now, I'd recommend taking the trip out to Minnetonka and eating in person. It's definitely worth the trip.
Edit I've visited a couple more times now, and most of the dishes are excellent. The Bahn Mi is great. I haven't loved the more fake-meat heavy dishes, though. This might be just a personal preference, but I think their tofu is much better than their mock meats.

Flavor Bomb and Texture Crunch - Edit
I almost always want spring rolls. This restaurant had the best spring rolls I have ever eaten. Colorful fresh veggies (not just rice noodles) and crispy tofu with a delicious peanut sauce. YUM!
Read moreI have tried the vegan Pad Thai, Orange tofu, fried rice noodles, Stir fried chili - lemongrass, all have me coming back to this restaurant for more.
You don't have to be vegetarian or vegan to enjoy this restaurant. You just have to like flavor, texture, good quality ingredients and food made with love.
Not sure why some people are complaining about the price? The prices are well within reason for the quality of food. And - the people are so friendly and provide wonderful service. The only con is that I have to drive over an hour to get here. But it is worth it.

Get a soup! - Edit
I went with my family of four, and we were able to try a variety of dishes. Both soups that we ordered were spectacular. We all agreed that next time that’s what we will all order. The braised tofu and mushroom dish had good flavors but was made with button mushrooms (I have had better versions in other cities). The noodle dish we got was gigantic but not that interesting. The “5 salad” appetizer was lots of mock meat that wasn’t that flavorful.
Read moreThe service was friendly and very helpful for steering us away from the non-vegan items.
It’s exciting to finally have a vegetarian Asian restaurant in the Twin Cities, and I plan to return often.
