Vegan in Albuquerque - Edit
The hours of operation on happy cow aren't totally accurate-they don't close at 2:30pm.
Read moreI had the pad thai lunch special and it was pretty good. It was a bit too sweet-wish it had a lot less sugar.
My husband has the green curry lunch special and enjoyed it.
Note about the lunch specials: the menu says they all come with salad, veggie rolls, and rice- but the noodle dishes don't come with rice.
Pros: All vegan menu. , Pretty yummy , Filling
Cons: Over sweetened, Didn't feel as healthy as I would have liked

100% Vegan with GF options - Edit
Thai Vegan had a varied menu, which included burgers so Isabel got the Cowboy Burger and fries. It featured breaded soy chicken pieces and a ton of toppings, although she had it plain. She found it and her fries so filling that she didn’t finish, but Dan finished it off for her and he said it was very good. Dan decided to try yet another version of the wide noodle broccoli stir fry and again added soy beef. It smelled delicious. I opted for the Fresh Ginger Sauce with veggies and a side of rice, and it was one of my favorite meals on the trip. The sauce had just a hint of spice, but it was mostly just packed with flavor. Everything was cooked to perfection with the veggies still having a little bite to them. I loved that my side of rice came in the shape of a heart. We’re looking forward to trying something different next time, although honestly, I’m probably going to have the same thing. 😉

Hostile Server and No Broccoli Flower - Edit
The food wasn't bad, but the server's attitude means I won't be returning. I ordered the "Chinese Broccoli" and my buddy ordered the "Spicy Fried Rice." With the word "broccoli" you would think the flower parts would be in the dish, but nope. It was mostly stems and a few leaves. Cheap. I tasted my buddy's dish and it was way too spicy for me, but not for him. We ordered drinks too. The server wanted to refill my cold ginger drink, but I really didn't want anymore. After my buddy paid the bill in cash, the server followed us to the door and harassed him for not leaving a tip. He said he needed his money for gas and I agree with him. We paid full price (no coupons or Groupon vouchers) and ordered drinks when we could have been cheap and just drank water. If we should pay more then let it be reflected in the menu prices and we'll decide.
Read moreNolo says that servers in New Mexico get at least minimum wage. Maybe her employer should pay more. We are oppressed working class people too, but we have more skills and education than her. She needs to argue with her employer, not customers. Albuquerque desperately needs a vegan chain restaurant like the Loving Hut, Plant Powered Fast Food, Veggie Grill, or Native Foods. The latter two have app rewards as well, which means you can get way better deals and the servers aren't going to demand extra money from low income working class people. The Loving Hut has coupons and Groupon deals too. So much better.
Pros: All vegan
Cons: Server Argues that Tips Aren't Optional, No Flower Part of Broccoli
cujobyte
"You paid full price (no coupons or groupon vouchers) for your food? Good for you! Servers make $5.85 per hr in Albuquerque, NOLO is incorrect. "Oppressed working class people"? Then eat at home. You should be ashamed of yourself but your narcissistic quality will prevent those feelings. And you honestly want a "vegan chain restaurant"?? Really? Do some research before you get what you asked for.

Amazing Food - Edit
Came here with my newly vegan sister and father. It was amazing. We each got something different and shared! Literally every item was so full of flavor and filling. My dad even ordered a second meal because it was so yummy!

Traditional Thai menu made completely vegan - Edit
It's always refreshing to have a completely vegan menu to choose from. The spicy noodles were spicy. The dumplings were really good. They use brown rice and not white. "Beef, chicken, and seafood" options as well as tofu.

The name says it best...Thai Vegan - Edit
Delicious ALL vegan menu. The chef takes traditional Asian plates & makes them into healthy vegan cuisine. I tried the orange "chicken" and it was great. The spring rolls and veggie fried rice were also sooo good.

Good food, good service, inexpensive - Edit
The food came out fast. It was delicious and filling! I liked how the dishes were available as a large entree w/rice or smaller version w/rice, egg roll, and salad for the same price. All the dishes sounded amazing, which made it hard to choose. My bf and I both got the PET (pumpkin, eggplant, and something else), which was really good, but also really hot/spicy, especially without spicy being used in the description.

Delish and huge menu! - Edit
We stopped in while on a road trip with dogs. Easy access location just off I-25. Food was sooooo amazing and staff super friendly. There's one table outside where you can sit with dogs. If you miss out on shade at the table, a small grassy grove of trees is situated in the middle of the parking lot. The grassy area is cool and not chemically. Enjoy!

Fabulous find in vegan desert! - Edit
The only place to eat in Albuquerque if you are driving through. It was our first visit and we will be back on the next road trip! I had the ginger vegetables with the ‘special’ option (salad and egg rolls) and I could not fault it! I added broccoli which made it even better. Slivers of actual ginger. Yum. Hub had the spicy vegetable rice & cleaned his plate! Which is quite something because he usually dislikes brown rice but loved this version! Absolute hit. I just wish the restaurant was bigger. Get takeout for breakfast and lunch too.....

Delicious Affordable and Fast Thai Vegan! - Edit
They seem to be open continuously between lunch and dinner. We called in an order at 4:45pm on a Monday and picked it up around 5:00pm.
Read more6 Spring rolls $6.95: Delicious, really nice and crispy. Their dipping sauce was a little different than the usual sweet chili sauce. It was more liquidy and tasted like it had soy sauce in it. I prefer the more common dipping sauce, this one wasn't bad.
PET a la cart $9.95: Spicy, good amount of garlic, all the vegetables were really well cooked. The sauce was really nice, not overpowering a bit spicy and well rounded.
Creamy Chicken $9.95: Delicious. The sauce tasted like a creamy dressing. It was a bit sweet but it really worked well together. The fake chicken was nicely cooked, had a good texture and flavor.
Thai Tea $2.99: Really delicious, great balance of tea and cream.
Thai Coffee $2.99: Good flavor but strong.
Total: $35.23
Customer service was great and really efficient. The interior is a bit old but still quite nice.
Everything is really affordably priced, almost everything is less than $10/plate. They also have an amazing selection.
The restrooms were clean and well decorated.
Definitely recommend! We look forward to visiting again the next time we are in Albuquerque.

Best Thai in town - Edit
We don't come here as often as we'd like, simply because it is a bit far away, but this location of Thai vegan has the best Thai you'll find. The sweet chili fish is amazing. The tempura is perfect. The green curry has such flavor. So much to like about this place!

I wish it hadn’t been such a hot day or I would have tried the vegan seafood soup, as that is something I struggle trying to make at home. There were so many choices I really had a hard time selecting something. I settled on the soy chicken with peanut sauce, and wish I had room to try the vegan shrimp.

So Good! - Edit
We had lunch here on a very hot day between hikes. The shades were drawn and they were quick to get us water. The server was so nice. We took three omnivores and they all loved what they got. One was a diehard meat eater and he was pleasantly surprised and cleaned his plate! I ordered edamame, but they were all out. I had veggie spring rolls and miso soup, followed by veg tempura. The soy shrimp in the tempura was interesting, but I didn't love it. Overall a wonderful experience!

Very good restaurant, nice staff - Edit
Everything was delicious. I will try it again soon. My remark about the peanuts comes since my only experience there was right after I had an anaphylactic reaction to mold which made me really sensitive to peanuts. I’ve never had this before and it had nothing to do with the restaurant. But all the items I ordered seemed to have peanut contamination. Normally this is not an issue for me.
