Read moreThis time we shared a vegan plate (tempeh, chicken bites, salad, rice, stir fried vegetables) which was very nice and satisfying, but I slightly preferred the karaage bowl (jackfruit bites, salad, rice, bean sprouts).
On previous visits (many years ago) we've had dragon sushi roll, the Jamaican plate and various fast food-y things. It's always been good.

Everything here is vegan, which seems to be rare in Amsterdam. We had the jamaican and the vital plate and they both tasted great, they were pricey though. We never had jamaican food before, we really liked the flavour profile. Location is nice as well, we were seating outside.

Fully vegan eatery serving a mix of Caribbean/Jamaican and Japanese food. Really enjoyed the Ire Ackee & Saltfish made with banana blossom (though I personally found it slightly greasy)! The Okonomiyaki seemed to be popular among other customers too. Located between Amsterdam Central Station and Dam Square (Royal Palace).

I can't speak for a lot of the dishes, but the okonomiyaki was quite good. A little sloppy but flavorful and a decent size. Service is friendly too. I like that there are a mix of Asian and Jamaican options on the menu.

I got the Jamaican plate, which was pretty good - very very tender "chicken", which was the highlight. There was a good combination of things included in the plate, but the curry was actually a little blander than I expected. A little more spice would have been nice. And it's definitely pricey - 19 euros for my dish. Still, unique food.

Malheureusement, l’endroit est très sale: les tables collantes, la poussière partout, les coussins de chaises noires de crasses et je n’ai même pas osé voir les toilettes. Certains plats avait l’air généreux mais en plat j’ai opté pour les sushis et j’ai obtenu un seul rouleau fin de sushi avec de l’avocat pour 16€!! Le burger sans accompagnements est à 13€. Honnêtement, c’est vraiment super cher pour ce que c’était. Le burger était bon mais les sushis vraiment sans intérêt ! C’est décevant car à nouveau ça donne l’image que manger vegan c’est hors de prix alors que non. Bref, extrêmement déçue et affamée à la sortie !

Tasty, but if I’m being honest, the Asian style food wasn’t anything special. Maybe we should’ve went for the Caribbean food instead. Sadly they were out of Jamaican patties when we visited. We still enjoyed our meals nonetheless and the staff were very nice.

I had a really tasty lunch with a friend at the restaurant. The interior is more simple and not that cozy but it has very nice wall paintings. The service was okay but the food was very tasty and I would highly recommend the crispy Tempeh Bowl.

Wir haben hier 2 sehr leckere bowls serviert bekommen. Auf jeden Fall frisch und sehr gut gewürzt. Der Preis war echt hoch aber ich denke für holländische Verhältnisse angemessen. Man sitzt auf Barhockern, es ist dennoch sehr gemütlich. War gegen Ende unseres Besuches auch sehr voll. Es gibt keinen Alkohol, finde ich persönlich auch gut und authentisch für das Konzept. Große Empfehlung!😄
