excellent food

Many vegan and GF options. Everything we ate was very good, even the salad was special. This place is recommended for every vegan coming to Barcelona. One of our top 3 places to eat.

Overall high quality, high price

Teresa Carles offers excellent dining and some very interesting dishes. I have tried quite a few of their options and there are few dishes that aren't good. The millefeuille in particular is worth mentioning, the quality level of everything from the crispy base to the sauce is excellent. I would avoid the very soggy, oily and doughy tempura, however.

The staff is not always very pleasant, some of them are outright rude. The price is sometimes too high for what they offer, considering the dishes are not organic, but the level of aspiration sometimes makes up for it.

Overall it's a worthwhile experience, if you get the right dishes. They aspire to a gourmet-level, which they in some cases reach, but in most I would say they don't.

Pros: Some very qualitative dishes, Nice atmosphere, The best vegan millefeuille I have had

Cons: Very expensive, Rude staff, Few vegan options, and the menu doesn't change

A reason to come back to Barcelona

When we stayed in Barcelona for 5 days, we visited this restaurant twice. Always packed with people, great atmosphere and fantastic food. We were with 4 people and have tried many different dishes on the menu and not one disappointed us. This restaurants shows you can make vegetarian food with great taste and would make a carnivore turn veggie. Don’t miss this one when visiting Barcelona and make a reservation in advance.

Pros: Great atmosphere, Fantastic food

Cons: None

Amazing food!!

This was best food I had in Spain!!!

I came here one morning and had the granola, it was delicious. I decided to come again the next night for dinner and they had a variety of vegan options, including the best vegan lasagna I've ever had!! Highly recommend this place.

Lovely place but needs more vegan options

This is a lovely place with a great atmosphere. We came for breakfast and the food was very nice although it would have been good to have a few more vegan options on the menu.

Pros: Juices, Atmosphere

Cons: Limited vegan options

Bad experience

I ordered from the menu the VEGAN salad of the day, and it came with fresh cheese, i tried because I thought it was vegan, then I saw it wasn't, I told e waitress and told me it was a mistake, they changed it and brought me another one with different cheese.. my boyfriend ate it. I was so disappointed.
It's a vegetarian restaurant so I didn't expect this confusion and I didn't enjoy my meal after all this..

Pros: Very tasty, Menú 10.50

Cons: They put cheese in my vegan salad , They did it a second time, Very dark

Good, if a bit expensive. Vegan options limited.

We had a late lunch at Teresa Carles. The vegan options are somewhat limited on the menu, and it seems that most dihes are already pre-prepared, so that replacements are not always possible. What we had was very good, though, in particular the mushrooms in brown sauce from the Teresa's specials menu. Charging 2 EUR for osmotic water and 6 EUR for a juice in a plastic bottle from the fridge was a bit much.

Pros: Food was good, open all around

Cons: Vegan choices limited, a bit expensive

great vegan options

Wow, couldn't better recommend this restaurant. Absolutely worth the stop if you're in Barcelona. Creative food, very tasty and nutritious. Good portion sizes. Price is ok for the quality. We'll be back.

Tasty

I had to spend a fair amount of time in Barcelona recently and ate at this restaurant three times in the span of four weeks. The third time was a bit disappointing from a service perspective but the food is great.

Pros: Good choice and for the kids as well, Both vegan and veggie option

Cons: Service could be better

*****food/beverages but only *service

The food and equally creative and healthful juices/smoothies are amazing. I enjoyed my meal.

The service was one of the worst I've experienced in 7 weeks of eating out while touring the Iberian Peninsula. The servers are doing their best but the restaurant was woefully understaffed.

I'll give them another try and revisit my review.

Pros: creative healthful food, creative healthful drinks

Cons: was understaffed--poor service

pricey but well worth it for amazingly creative food and drink

Amazing atmosphere, lovely waiters and some amazing vegan food, that is creative but also delivers on taste. Try and resist the temptation otherwise you'll end up spending but sometimes it's worth it.

Pros: lots of vegan options , creative, locally inspired

Cons: expensive

Popular lunch restaurant

A bit too loud and noisy for my taste. Due to its popularity it's always full to the brim. Love the idea with a changing menue, but it also means that there sometimes is only one vegan option, while all of them are vegan other weeks.

Perfect (unfortunately not completely vegan)

Definitely a perfect place to visit in Barcelona. Unfortunately not all dishes are vegan. However, we had a couple of vegan options and all of those were very delicious, not to say simply perfect. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere in short it is absolutely recommendable. I will hope to come back very soon.

absolutely delicious

I walked quite a ways to get here only to discover only part of their menu was available due to the time 6pm?). Initially I was disappointed by this and was second guessing having trekked my tired ass here after a 24 hr journey to Spain. .
Until the croquettes arrived.
Cooked to perfection
Flavor balanced to perfection
The waitress was a pleasure.
My first real tapas in Barcelona and it was delicious!
Will certainly return before my trip is over.

Cons: no outdoor seating

Terrific vegetarian resturant with lots of vegan options

Amazing vegetarian spots seems to be very popular with locals as well. We got the vegan spinach coquettes, black rice dish and portabello freak-all were fantastic. I would say those this place is a little expensive its about 13.50 for a main but id say its worth it.

Pros: Lots of vegan things and English menu.

Cons: A bit pricey

Pros: excellentissime, calme, service discret

Cons: cher, raffiné

Fine dining, best vegan croquette and sangria! Interesting vegan tuna!

We ordered 3 different vegan Tapas and probably one of the best Sangrias we had in the city (Rosé). La Bomba de Barcelonetta turned out being a delicious croquette filled with artichoke, topped with vegan mayo and a red sauce. Creamy inside and a crunchy crust, soo good... The veggie tempura had green asparagus, squash, carrots and leaks and was served with a very good spicy sauce. We ordered vegan tuna and got a platter with a little can filled with juicy vegan "fish" and some pan con tomate on the side. For dessert we had the snowflake cake which was a good solid vegan cake, but also not as special and delicate as the rest of the dishes. I would try next time the vegan millefleur or one of the other vegan desserts. The atmosphere is modern, cozy and a bit fancy (in a good way), so if you want to go out for a dinner on a special occasion, this is the place.
