Tasty! Nostalgic! Vegan! - Edit
I mean, who can complain about vegan tacos! Today I ordered three tacos, salsa, and guacamole for delivery (via DoorDash), and I was not disappointed. Each taco (fish, dorado, and baja) was delicious. The dorado was maybe my favorite, but probably more because it was nostalgic when my boyfriend's mom made me potato tacos all the time! As someone else mentioned, the baja was also really good even though I had never had fried avocado before. The guac was also tasty, especially for a restaurant. The only slight upset was the salsa which wasn’t my favorite. To be fair, I am very picky and have had lots of Mexican salsas, so I am a tough critic! It was definitely not bad by any means either.

Pros: all vegan , lots of options , nostalgic flavors

Definitely try Tacotarian - Edit
Husband and I ordered the taco platter and the birria platter as mains. As a starter we ordered the nachos. We both got a margarita, classic and hibiscus! Everything was delicious and food came out fast. Your order up at the counter then they give you a number. Would visit again.

Delicious Vegan food, friendly owner. - Edit
This was my first time at this establishment, the ambience was great while waiting for our to -go order. There was lots of seating availability, including a bar area. The owner was very friendly, he stopped by to say hi and to introduce himself. The food was great, we ordered the Birria plate and an order of Barbacoa nachos. They were both on point, and though birria is my favorite dish, the nachos were amazing!

So many taco options! - Edit
I picked up a to-go order tonight. Very excited to try some unique tacos. My favorite was the Baja - loved the fried avocado. I would definitely order at least one next time. I also tried the Al Pastor and the Plantain con mole tacos. Both were good as well, I would probably give the edge to the Al Pastor. This is a new restaurant and I hope it does well in this area!

TACOTARIAN IS A 10! - Edit
We happened upon Tacotarian driving by, recognizing it as a brand-new plant-based restaurant with a witty name that looked inviting, casual, hip—just had to stop and check it out. Were beyond impressed by so many things. First, the clean and modern aesthetic; second, the friendly staff (and owners who were there in this first day of being open!); and third, the delectable food. Carlos and Kristen, one of the two couples who owns this now number 5 of the Tacotarian restaurants (the first four are all in Las Vegas) were there today, and we really enjoyed hearing about their background and their inspiration for their restaurant. So young and enthusiastic, and passionate about what they have created; it was really a privilege to meet them. We ordered just a few of the over 15 tacos (served “street style” so you can enjoy several different ones!) and we absolutely loved them. Homemade corn tortillas held the most exciting flavors we’d experienced in awhile: the al pastor, birria, carne asada and mushroom asada were our favorites. Also delicious were the barbacoa and the veggie taco with mashed potatoes. We also enjoyed a side of the mole to add to the tacos, which was beyond delicious. We were treated to pineapple fresca in the festivity of the first day, and we had such a great time being swept up in both the flavors and the excitement of the impressive results of their hard work. Casual, with very moderate prices, and a full offering of delectable-sounding margaritas. Our favorite completely plant-based restaurant yet. We took a piece of the coconut cake (from one of the owner’s grandmother’s recipe) to go, and were glad we didn’t miss it. Unbelievable texture and flavor! Thank you Tacotarian, for coming to San Diego. Can’t wait to come back, and try all of the tacos eventually!

Incredible - Edit
This is hands down the best vegan Mexican food you can get in San Diego. Everything is delicious! Huge assortment of tacos to choose from, awesome drinks, and even desserts. My personal favorites so far are the birria tacos, horchata, and queso fundido. I was blown away by the quality of the entire meal. The owners were incredibly kind and put a lot of love into the whole experience.
