Authentic Mexican - Edit
We had a selection of tamales - they were flavoursome and came with a tomato dip, crispy tortilla crumbs with seeds and a red cabbage slaw type thing. Nicely filling, good combination of flavours and textures, and well presented.
Read moreTried the water infusions too - the papaya was not nice and we couldn’t drink it but the lemon was nice and refreshing.
Really cheap - 40 pesos for each tamale and 25 for the drinks.
One thing is there was a massive dog poo right next to the table which wasn’t nice to eat beside and the tables and chairs were kinda dirty. But is a rough and ready cheap place and the staff were friendly.

Wonderful place to stop for food and the nicest people! - Edit
We came here for lunch today and enjoyed a selection of different vegan tamales to share as well as some green juice, all of which was utterly delicious. The guy working there was also incredibly kind, even letting us have some ice for our water bottles to take away for free on a hot day! The place is lovely and I can recommend it highly. A must-visit in Tulum!

Our 1st Vegan stop in Tulum! - Edit
Muy bien vegan tamales. We sat on the back garden and enjoyed a sampling for three types of vegan tamales. We also ate carrot cake and brownie for desert. We loved this place. One night we took tamales “to go” from here and ate them in our room.

Best Vegan Tamale - Edit
This is my first time having a tamale and I was pleasantly surprised that I could find a vegan option. We chose the traditional mole tamale with mushroom, banana (plantain), chilli & chocolate, deliciously combined I might add. We also tried the lentil which was so tasty with the extra herbs & the bean one. I enjoyed the meal which was authentic Mexican. I was very happy with the price too which was quite reasonable for what we got.

Tasty - Edit
The owner was just back after a trip and a bit confused, and only two sorts of tamales to offer. But they were so good and their toppings super tasty!

Amazing - Edit
This place was my favorite place to eat in Tulum. It was also probably the most affordable. My girlfriend and I split 5 tamales, 2 sopes, and a green juice for $290. We were left completely stuffed. They had all but one of the tamales on the menu available (we did not get to try the Rojas), but the 5 we had were so damn good. Definitely a must try.

Delicious tamales - Edit
When I became vegan I thought I won't have great tamales ever again. I was wrong! In this small and cozy restaurant I got very delicious variations of tamales. Mole, rajas, lentejas, frijoles and chaya. If you are vegan and visiting Tulum, definitely check this place out!

Super delicious! - Edit
The tamales were wonderful, and the salsas were a great pairing. We were served a fresh onion salsa after watching it be made. I almost never add fresh onion to my food but took a chance and did with the tamale and I am so glad that I did. It was perfect! Thank you!

Haven’t been able to taste their famous tamales - Edit
We went here twice. On Saturday afternoon they were already closing when we arrived because they were out of all their food. On sundays they are closed anyways. Because they told us they run out of their tamales very quickly, we came here on Monday for lunch. But it turned out they didn’t have any yet. “Maybe in three hours”. No, thanks. I won’t be coming back here.

We were recommended to go here, we finally were able to try these amazing tamales on our last day. We would have gone several times but their hours are not consistent with what was posted on Facebook/ google maps.

Delicious authentic food, lovely people and great prices. We tried the tamale of the day and the sopes, a fruit water, coffee, cake (carrot with yummy icing) and the ice cream (real fruit). Everything we ordered was so flavoursome and tasted like it was made from high quality ingredients. Best Mexican we have ever had!

Sabor 100% real - Edit

Their menu is tasty, healthy and simple. Everything is done there fresh every day. Their seasonal cakes are amazing. They gave me a tour to the back of their restaurant and they grow a lot of herbs on their backyard. They are working on great projects, stay tuned!

Fantastic and affordable - Edit
Having tried good vegan tamales in Mexico City, finding Suculenta in Tulum was a total delight. The tamales are delicious and very cheap. Perfect vegan reprieve from the overpriced, mediocre (at best) food of Tulum's main drag. The agua del dia was ice cold and super refreshing.
