Excellent food! - Edit
Lovely place with very interesting menu! Very convenient if you’re a bit tired of always eating tacos! We had the Platon mixto which contains awesome tofu slices and delicious chickpeas! We also ordered a Tamal that was exquisite and my favorite was the pozole de champiñones, a bit spicy and sooooo good!

A must visit - Edit
Wanted to visit a vegan restaurant that did authentic Mexican food and I found the right place. The previous reviews of this restaurant really helped.
Read moreThe food here was absolutely amazing. Was authentic, flavoursome and all natural.
We had the tacos, which we ended up getting 2 portions of, the enchiladas and the Mole Tamales. Everything was reasonably priced.
This place is a must visit.
Pros: Amazing tasting natural food, Reasonably priced, Great service

Fantastic! Best in Tulum! - Edit
Suculenta is one of those very special places that foodie travelers quest for but rarely find. This 100% plant-based family-run eatery serves the most delicious and salubrious tamales we’ve had anywhere, and other excellent food and drink, with lovely human warmth and care.
Read moreThey take the extra time to prepare their tamales the traditional way, making their own masa from fresh corn and mixing other flavors into the masa so that every bite is filled with flavor. They offer five different kinds of tamales, each with its own distinct flavors, all amazing. Our favorite is the molé, with the rajas being a close second. All are served with a side of three condiments: a roasted habanero salsa with fantastic flavor (spicy), a mild red salsa, and pickled onions.
The chilaquiles here are also some of the best we’ve had. Whereas most other places make chilaquiles vegan by subtraction (removing the eggs, cheese, etc) leaving you with just chips drowning in sauce, here the chilaquiles are a balanced meal topped with scrumptious veggies and served with a side of flavorful beans.
The tacos are served on fresh blue corn tortillas, giving them a subtle special flavor. The enchiladas are excellent, too, as is the jugo verde (green juice).
Do yourself a solid when you come here: put down the phone and pause the conversation for at least the first few bites of each dish so you can be fully present for the nuances of flavor that are so lovingly crafted here (and so hard to find elsewhere).
Service is very warm, caring, and helpful, and the back courtyard is peaceful and lovely. Both Spanish and English are spoken well, and the menu is available in both languages.
Prices are low for the quality, especially for the tamales.
Highly recommended!
Enjoy!

Delicious and adorable!! - Edit
Great coffee and juices and delicious and traditional food. There are some fake meat options but most of the menu was bean-based which I really appreciated. It felt healthy and fresh. We got a jugo amarillo which was so good and an iced latte with really delicious coconut milk. You can eat in the beautiful back garden which is cool and shaded and so charming. Staff is so sweet. Don’t miss this spot!

Disappointing - Edit
I was so disappointed at the food here. Tried 2 different tamales, the tacos and the green anchiladas and struggled to finish. Only finished the food (with effort) because I hate food waste but the worse tacos I’ve had so far in Tulum and maybe in my entire taco experience.

Best tacos I’ve ever had - Edit
I loved everything about this place. The setting is very nice with the little garden and the service was great.
Read moreAbove all, the food was superb. Originally I just intended to try the tamales but they insisted on trying the tacos. I’m glad I did because those king oyster mushroom tacos had the most amazing flavor profile & meaty texture. They just have the 1 taco type (Tacos Al Bajón across the street has a wide range of amazing options) but Suculenta’s taco option is my personal favorite ever.
The tamales were also tasty–my favorite was the mole–but they were all pretty similar. Overall this is a place I would visit often.
Pros: All vegan, Tacos, Service & setting

My lunch was good and big portion (enchiladas). But my company took burrito and it was lame. I would have needed for a little more taste (lime, chile?) Smoothies were really good!

the tamales and fresh juice were delicious - the atmosphere is lovely. i think for me it was a little bland overall - everything is really health focused which doesn’t always equal flavorful. (brownies made with black beans and amaranth - if that’s your thing more power to ya but it’s just not my bag!)

I'm allergic to cilantro, asked for a dish without it, they still served it with cilantro. We ordered another dish and it was good.
