Lovely outdoor lunch place

The tofu scramble was delicious and the thick bread that came with it was really satisfying! It came with a salad that had a light and nice dressing. The hummus and falafel were kind of bland. The lemon poppyseed cake was great - not too sweet and delicate flavors. I loved the outdoor seating, which was covered and plentiful.

I am now a regular! I keep ordering a version of the tofu scramble: specktackel but vegan - swap mushrooms for the bacon, and tofu scramble for the rühr ei. The mushrooms are deep fried and super crispy! I also like the banana bread (it has chocolate chips!) and the cauli crunch. Really friendly staff who bring out water dishes for the dogs😄

Die Backwaren stechen hervor / the baked goods are the star

Dieses Café neben einer Schule hat schöne Sitzgelegenheiten drinnen und außen. Der Schwerpunkt der Speisekarte liegt auf belegten Broten, es gibt vier herzhafte vegane Optionen. Das Brot selbst ist lecker und knusprig getoastet. Das Tofu-Rührei hatte eine gute Textur und war gut gewürzt, aber der Geschmack war etwas eindimensional. Die Falafel waren knusprig, die Soßen hätten etwas mehr Würze vertragen können. Zu beiden herzhaften Gerichten gab es eine Salatbeilage, die ein leckeres Dressing hatte. Zwei der drei Kuchenoptionen waren bei unserem Besuch vegan. Der Zitronen-Mohn-Kuchen war großartig, ein ausgewogener Geschmack und eine gute Konsistenz. Alle drei Gerichte waren große Portionen - selbst die halben Bestellungen der belegten Brote sind sehr sättigend, vor allem für ihre Preise.

Edit: beim zweiten Besuch hat die freundliche Bedienung darauf hingewiesen, dass sie viel mehr vegane Optionen haben. Fast alle der Hauptgerichte können geändert. Ich hatte dann das specktackle, wo es Tofuscramble und frittierte Pilze als Ersatz gab, eine sehr leckere Kombination mit Avocado und Chili-Öl. Sie machen auch ihren eigenen Ketchup und Mayonnaise, beides standardmäßig vegan, damit sind die Fritten auch eine gute Wahl. Kuchen war diesmal Bananenbrot mit Schokolade, wieder tolle Konsistenz und sehr lecker.

This cafe next to a school has nice seating inside and out. Their menu focuses on topped breads, there are four savoury vegan options. The bread itself is tasty and nicely toasted. The scrambled tofu had a nice texture, and was well seasoned, but the flavour was a bit one-dimensional. The falafel was crunchy, the sauces could have had a bit more spice. Both savoury dishes came with a side of salad with a nice seasoning. Two of the three cake options were vegan when we visited. The lemon-poppyseed cake was great, well balanced flavour and good texture. All three dishes were big portions - even the half orders of the topped breads are very filling, especially for their prices.

Edit: during the second visit, the friendly waitress pointed out that they have a lot more vegan options. Almost all of the main courses can be modified. I ended up having the specktackle where substituted tofu scramble and fried mushrooms, a very tasty combination with avocado and chili oil. They also make their own ketchup and mayonnaise, both vegan by default, so the fries are a good choice too. Cake this time was banana bread with chocolate, again great texture and very yummy.
