Opened Feb 2018, relocated to new address Feb 2022, a social enterprise vegan restaurant that employs homeless people and people after leaving jail. Offers lunch menus, wide range of local vegan cuisine, fair-trade coffee, alcoholic drinks including local draught beer, vegan and gluten-free cakes and other desserts and last but not least a variety of high quality non-alcoholic alternatives. Open Mon-Wed 16:00-23:00, Thu-Fri 16:00-00:00, Sat 10:00-00:00, Sun 10:00-23:00. Kitchen closes every day at 10pm. BRUNCH 10:00-13:00 on weekends

Great food with a great mission - Edit
We were so excited to eat at Strecha tonight. The restaurant is large and bright. When we first entered we thought it was small, but the restaurant is in the shape of an L and has about three separate seating areas on the long arm. We sat in the very end room which had a couch with a low table and a chess set and a monopoly game. Our servers were very nice and spoke to us in English.
Read moreWe ordered the dumplings on red cabbage and the fried cheese with fries. It was great to get to try some traditional Czech dishes veganized. The food was delicious and the portions were generous - we sadly weren't able to finish our meals because we ran out of room.
We were happy to purchase a pending meal for someone in need.

Amazing cause, very reasonable prices, satisfactory food. This is such a wonderful place and I go here whenever I'm in the neighborhood. The ability to pre-pay a lunch for someone in need (for only 120 CZK) is great. Highly recommend!!

Entire vegan menu, that has weekly rotating special menus. Burgers are good and I would recommend ordering a coffee or one of the Chric beers to help a good cause.

This place was amazing. It was my first time in a purely vegan restaursnt and I loved it. I took my bf with me (omnivore) and he really liked it aswell. The people working there have been very kind and obliging. We had no problem with the english language in this place.

There is also a possibility to buy a meal for a person in need in advance.
All in all: Great Food, good location and really good prices.

Very nice place with friendly staff and a cosy, uncomplicated atmosphere. The food was generous and tasty, not too sophisticated. To support the project, additionally you can order a menu for a person who couldn't afford it, in advance.

Sought this place out after hearing it was a Social Enterprise. Staff were kind and attentive and the food was really good, the best Goulash I had while in Prague. Great selection of vegan cakes.

Love what they do and love the selection, but I honestly thought the food was just okay. It’s a very casual joint. The schnitzel was good, but came with no sauce so was quite dry. Definitely still worth checking this place out if you’re in the area.

I found this gem on Happy Cow (oh the surprise :P) and I have to say I was astounded by everything! First of all it’s a cute cosy bistro, very well decorated and modern. They have menus in English which is very useful. They have the menu of the day, as well as snacks, other plates, etc. I was a bit confused about the hours as apparently most of the plates that are not in menu of the day are served only after 15h. There was a lot of them that I wanted to try, but because it was 14h I went for the soy schnitzel and, oh boy! Deliciousness in a bowl, definitely recommend!!

I love everything about this place: the concept, the food, the venue, great pricing. The food is delicious and they have veganized versions of Czech food which is great if you want to try local cuisine! I also love that you can prepay a meal or a coffee for someone in need. The prices would be hard to beat anywhere else in Prague.

I have nothing bad to say about Střecha, the idea of the place is brilliant, they make veganised Czech dishes which actually is what I had been looking for for a long time before I discovered them. Everything I've tried was terrific, maybe the vegan fried cheese gets a bit too intense and too calorie-heavy. But I definitely recommend!

I took my whole (non-vegan) family there and they really enjoyed the food. My seitan kebab was very good and gnocchi with pesto as well. Though the locale was not the tidiest, pictures and paintings on the walls and the idea behind the place made up for it

A wonderful experience, the concept is heartwarming and the food perfectly cooked. Really good service and the price is unbelievably cheap. Don’t miss this place and spread the word!! The surroundings are very beautiful, so take a walk and see the colorful houses :)

I visited it through my visit in Prague and I really admired the social initiative of this restaurant.

The place has nothing special to it,but I felt very comfortable and I it's nice to be out of the busy touristic areas.
Totally recommended for everyone.
