Fantastic Plant-Based Italian - Edit
Wonderful from start to finish! The pappardelle was fresh and perfectly sauced, the ravioli with plant based ricotta satisfying, and the cannoli was a sweet, creamy treat. Great flavors.

A perfect vegan Italian meal! - Edit
I’ve dined at Soda Club on a few occasions and it seems to just get better and better. Their pizzas have a variety of toppings making it a delicious, unique experience and their pastas are very good as well.
Read moreThe gigli is popular but the bigoli is much better in my opinion. It has a resemblance of fettuccine Alfredo with the thick noodles and creamy, indulgent sauce.
Now for the pizza - I really enjoyed the carbonara pizza (without the apples). The base is a white sauce and the fried artichokes were a pleasant surprise. Overall would definitely order again. They also had a pesto pizza a few weeks ago that was actual perfection - hope they bring it back in the future.
And if there is anything that you do, you MUST order the date dessert. It consists of a warm date cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on a bed of crumbs/crust. Trust me you need it.
The staff is always friendly and outgoing. The small details like acknowledging return guests really mean a lot.
Will be returning very soon!

Disappointed:( - Edit
I was super excited for this place. The host was nice, but the server wasn’t and has an attitude. The rest of the table was served (my friends) and my food never came out and they never checked on us. My friends pasta was dry. They could have done a lot better. Also ran out of water and they never came back to refill.

Genuinely some of the best food I’ve ever had - Edit
Orange wine? Amazing. Dessert? Slay. The main courses? Incredible. My friends all got different dishes so I had the opportunity to try 4. All were amazing. I had the Bigoli and thought it was the best of the bunch. I’m amazed they made this Italian restaurant all vegan. This is in the top 3 restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. Period

So so so good - Edit
Loved this place!
Read moreLovely ambience
And the food was just excellent
Had the gigli - sauce a touch watery if I were to be very critical but it was delicious
Calabrian Pizza- delicious, so many toppings
Date cake - not to be missed, the salt crumbs brought out all the flavors
Tiramisu - lady fingers could do with soaking a touch longer, but delicious

Didn’t live up to expectations - Edit
My partner loves Italian food and was very excited to try this place. I don’t love Italian food, but this place had some positive reviews, so decided to give it a try. We ordered the focaccia, arancini, bucatini, gigli and ravioli. The miso dip that came with the focaccia was really good, but the bread itself was just ok. I would definitely pass on the arancini if I ever come back. The sauce had a lot of flavor but the arancinis needed more of it. They were pretty bland on their own. I was also not a fan of the Parmesan, though my partner liked it. The pasta was pretty good as far as pasta goes. The arrabiata sauce on the bucatini was my favorite. I always prefer tomato based sauce over cream sauces anyway. I thought the ravioli was pretty good, but I wanted more tomato. I didn’t like the gigli at all, but it was a cream based sauce. My partner, who is more into cream sauces wasn’t very impressed either. He said that nothing was bad, but all the dishes seemed to have “one note” and needed some additional complexity. He was a bit disappointed and said he’s not in a hurry to come back.

Tasting menu - Edit
Tried the tasting menu and enjoyed all the pastas except the tagliatelle. Date cake and tiramisu were excellent. Arancini was a nice starter. The server kindly let us taste a few wines to decide which one we wanted with the meal. We left very full!

Great tasting menu - Edit
Loved the tasting menu here. We had 3/5 dishes (skipped two due to a nut allergy, but got extra portions of the others to make up for it) and really enjoyed them. Highlight was the gigli! Tiramisu was the perfect dessert.

Best vegan Italian food! - Edit
Best vegan Italian food in the city! I used to love arancini before going vegan so I’m so glad it’s on the menu — they are amazing! All the pastas and new Roman style pizzas a great too. The servers really take the time to help you find a wine you like and I’ve loved all the cocktails I’ve tried on the new cocktail menu so far. The new location on Avenue A is beautiful

A NYC restaurant experience with incredible food! - Edit
A very NYC experience from start to finish. It was hot and cramped inside but the food was ridiculously good!
Read moreThe cacio a pepe was absolute bomb. The creaminess and richness of the sauce was enough to throw you directly into a food coma.
The pizzas are cooked to perfection, the crispiness of the crust is an art form.
Our server tried to take our plates while we were still eating but all other staff was super friendly and the atmosphere is bustling.. like everyone's sitting there eating full bowls of pasta at 11pm like nothing is happening.. it's magic.
Pros: Vegan
Cons: Tight, Super hot in the warmer months, Loud

The best of the best - Edit
I never had pasta this exquisite in my life. Each dish takes you on a flavor journey and the last taste is different than the first bite. I can’t explain it. It’s just delicious and unforgettable. Make reservations early it gets crowded and stays crowded til closing.

Best pasta in NYC - Edit
Soda Club never disappoints. The pastas are al dente and delicious. The pinsas (Roma-style pizza) are scrumptious. The wine selection is very interesting (I had a complex white from Portugal). The new location (95 Avenue A) is much bigger than the old one and very beautiful but funky.

Amazing Food and Atmosphere - Edit
One of my new favorites in NYC. The pizza with fried artichokes and apple tzatziki was delicious, as was the herbed ricotta with focaccia bread. My favorite pasta was the Bigoli. Also, I was happy to see that they have non-alcoholic wines and Best Day Brewing NA beers (in addition to an expansive selection of traditional wines, beers, and mixed drinks). To top it off, the atmosphere was cool and the staff was friendly.

Maybe my favorite restaurant?? - Edit
First went there back in November 2024 and I just kept thinking about it, so I had to go back! It was absolutely worth a second trip. I've gotten the 6 course pasta tasting, which I highly recommend for a special occasion. You get to try every pasta, plus a bottle of wine.

Classy date night - Edit
If you're in NY, you should try both this place and Anixi. Anixi is fun and loud and great for a group. Soda Club is more intimate, befitting the Italian cuisine, and better suited for a date night.

Excellent - Edit
Small restaurant. Amazing food. Kind and attentive staff. Very fair price for the quantity and quality of food. We did the 6 course pasta dinner which comes with a bottle of wine. Great wine selection.
Read moreOrdered the arancini appetizer which was delicious. Modest in size and reasonable in price for $10. I appreciated the smaller sized appetizer being that we were going on to order a 6 course pasta dinner.
The pastas were amazing and all 10/10. Each one too good to even compare to the next. Fairly uncommon pasta dishes to find vegan and made so well. Never tried cacio e Pepe in my 8 years being vegan until now and it was perfect. My omnivore boyfriend also rated each pasta at 9/10 or 10/10.
We ordered the date cake for dessert which was also 10/10. Not too sweet. We were stuffed already and I liked that the piece of cake was modest and only $14 (reasonable for NYC pricing).

Soda club is an absolute gem! Incredible pasta, wine, and desserts. Every dish hits - It is one of our favorites in NYC.
Read moreWe usually order:
- Castelvetrano Olives which are so so good and I am not an olive person.
- Arancini which is so light and crispy on the outside and velvetty creamy inside
- Bucatini my husband's favorite
- Gigli my obsession with the creamy truffle sauce and crispy leeks!
- Butternut gnocchi was a special we tried this time which was buttery, topped with sage. absolutely delicious!
Last time we also bought the cannoli and date cake both I highly recommend! But with two appetizers and three pasta dishes we were so full and happy.
They also were just awarded the Michelin Bib Gormand third year in a row. Highly recommend checking out Soda Club on your next visit to NYC!

I love the Soda Club! Their pastas are so delicious you’d think they’re loaded with cream. Indoors is cozy but outdoor seating is pleasant if you like a little more space, and the servers are attentive.
