Underground But Not Underrated - Edit
Pure chance had me happen upon this outlet. Kicking myself for missing out on one of their other stores when I was naively unaware of what they had to offer, I didn’t make the mistake twice when I espied this spot while barrelling my way through the underpass towards a different destination.
Read moreAnd oh, how I am glad that I did make the time for this pit stop. Snapping up all I could that was plant-based and sweet, I scuttled off as quickly as I could with my mini haul to enjoy at leisure in my hotel room.
Beginning with strawberry cake, I was really quite taken with how good it was. Creamy and light on top with an excellently robust, yet moist cake layer beneath, I’ve certainly had far worse from dedicated pastry shops and restaurants.
Next, the cheesecakes. Both flavours, the raspberry and the blueberry, were equally brilliant. Once more, the upper layers were as smooth as you could wish for while the base was truly marvellous. Floral with vanilla, it had the perfect consistency and I would quite happily devour that on its own were that an option they chose to sell.
The cheesecakes alone are more than worth a return visit, and though savoury wasn’t on the agenda this time around, if I do get the chance to visit again, one of the delicious-looking wraps will be a must.
