Not Sc-Out & Out Amazing - Edit
Housed within a rather twee cottage-esque building that is perched sweetly in a park beside the river, you could easily be forgiven for not knowing what lay inside.
Read moreBeing as this is a cafe for the scout movement, glamorous it is not. But what it lacks in aesthetics, it more than makes up for in charm. Also, it is true to say that there isn’t an extensive range of items to go for, but there is certainly enough to satisfy.
With orders made inside, but plates being available for collection at a window that opened onto the beautiful outside dining area, I headed out and took a pew at the only free table. The reason for its availability? It was directly in the gaze of the scorching midday sun. Having nearly melted waiting for my food, when it did appear, I grabbed it and beat a hasty retreat to significantly less picturesque, but blessedly cooler, indoor dining area.
As expected, given the price and the nature of the business, this was humble fayre. Both the vegan utopenec and the hummus with carrots (not carrot hummus, as I initially thought) were simple dishes that weren’t without flaws, but they weren’t without their merits either.
The downside to each of them was bread
they were served with; it was quite dry and lacking flavour - it wasn’t the best they could have chosen, I’m sure.
On the positive side, everything else was pretty well executed, the sausage and its accompanying vegetables were the real highlight of the meal.
I can’t attest to this being a great place for a filling meal, but if you’re looking for a relaxing spot to grab a adequately priced snack and a decent drink, you could certainly do worse.

Super cute - Edit
Has vegan options like Hummus and vegan Utopenec (sausage). Also sometimes pastry. But honestly its just a cozy place to sit outside and have a coffee with a beautiful view and vibe.

Well priced brunch - Edit
We had a vegan Utopenec (traditional pickled sausage), and a vegetarian cheese and pesto toast. The portions are not very big but perfect for a lighter lunch. The price is very good – under €20 for 2 people with drinks. We liked the decor, the inside is not the biggest but there’s seating outside with a nice view of the river.
Read morePros: Good prices, Cozy atmosphere at a central location, Nice snack/brunch food
Cons: Limited vegan options – but all vegetarian, Smaller inside

Decent food, great spot - Edit
A couple of vegan option. I tried the traditional vegan version of Utopenec. It’s possible to sit inside and outside, as well as taking you plate a few meters down to the river for a great view.

Vegetarian cafe offering lunch menu which is often vegan - Edit
Now they have daily lunch menu, not just a soup. The other day it was vegetable curry with rice and potato soup with mushrooms - all vegan. Vegan utopenec is always available.
Read moreStaff confirmed they are fully vegetarian.
Pros: trending place
Cons: soup for 60,- could be a bigger portion

Tried the vegan utopenec which was great! Menu seemed to have quite a few other vegan options too and the vibe inside the cafe was lovely - a proper hidden gem!

Vegane Pfadfinder - Edit
Die Gemüsesuppe war großartig, leicht scharf, viel drin, mit lecker Brot dabei. Die Wurst war jetzt für mich nicht so lecker, aber das ist Geschmackssache.

Lovely pickled sausage - Edit
I had some lovely pickled vegan sausage here, served with pickled onion on bread. The nice staff and lemonades were also a plus!
