A go to!

Love their vegan options. Always super accommodating and willing to make things vegan for us.

Edit to add that they now do a full all vegan buffet every other Thursday! Phenomenal selection!! Dozens of dishes, naan, desserts

The best Indian lunch buffet in the area!

Wow! So many delicious vegan options on their lunch buffet. Apparently they have a ALL VEGAN buffet every other Thursday! So sad I will miss it since I’m heading back to FL on Monday.

Pros: Delicious vegan options, Friendly staff, Buffet

3.5 ⭐️

I give 3.5 stars based on one visit to a Thursday vegan buffet. I applaud them for this recurring event. I rounded up because of the vegan buffet existing. Without the buffet, I’d round down simply because there’s a lot of competition for Indian restaurants in the Triangle and I’d choose many of those restaurants over Sitar. The buffet dishes were on the blander side comparatively though this may be to appeal to a wider palate; I haven’t ordered from their menu to compare to their offerings outside of the buffet. Still, there was such a large variety of offerings, and the menu seems to fluctuate so that would be reason to return to the buffet. The vegan flan was definitely the highlight of the buffet for me. It was very good. I hope the vegan buffet continues to thrive. Unfortunately its location and day of the week aren’t convenient for me so that’s another factor that will prevent me from returning frequently but I tried not to let that affect my rating.

Awesome Vegan Indian

Always has vegan options on the lunch buffet and dinner menu.

But their bi-weekly vegan Thursday night all vegan buffet is not to be missed!!🤯

So many choices in hot and cold food. Follow their fb page for early deets on the menu.

It’s also very reasonably priced and includes appetizers, salads, and desserts on the buffet!

Pros: Clearly marked vegan on options, Amazing biweekly all vegan buffet, Great and friendly service

Clearly Labeled Menu

I appreciate that their menu is clearly marked. I did receive a sauce in my bag that stated on the menu "contains dairy" even though I only ordered labeled vegan options. I would just double check everything. Overall good Indian takeout though!

Best local Indian food

These folks are so good that we had them cater our wedding: vegan lunch for 180 people. Not only is there plenty of high-quality variety, but they know their food ingredients inside out, and can advise according to your dietary needs.

Ol reliable

Trust delivery option with clearly marked vegan dishes. I usually just door dash chana masala and veggie samosas.

Pros: Clearly labeled vegan options, Chana masala

Cons: Third party delivery fees

Great stuff

I had the vegetarian samosas and the aloo mutter matar. Both were extremely good. Samosas were spicy, but tasty. Vegan options were clearly marked as vegan. They had multiple options.

Pros: Many clearly marked vegan items.

Cons: Also serve meat.

Lots of Veg Options - Menu is Marked

I ordered takeout, due to the pandemic. The online menu is clearly marked with vegan and gluten free options. I got the veggie pakoras, the aloo gobi mutter (cauliflower) and the aloo methi (potato). The pakoras and both dipping sauces were excellent. I couldn't eat the cauliflower, because it was WAY too spicy, even though I requested mild. The potatoes were pretty good, but again too much heat for my tastes. Probably more of a medium spice level, even though I requested mild. If I go again, I will ask which dishes can be made with the lease amount of heat.

There also isn't a lunch specific menu, so I had to order dinner portions at dinner prices $12-14 per entree. This may be due to the lunch buffet option for eat-in customers. I would have liked to see even a limited lunch menu.

Pros: Many options

Cons: Expensive for lunch

Delightful and Delicious

We were greeted with smiles and enthusiasm when we entered. The staff is vibrant. The server made suggestions that were spot-on. The food was absolutely delicious. We were there for dinner, so ordered from the menu (not a buffet style). Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options were plentiful.
