Good breakfast and extensive brunch buffet

Stayed here in one of the studios and had the pleasure to take regular breakfast on a weekday an the all-you-can-eat buffet on Saturday. Next to also dining here.
Really good vegan food, well prepared and balanced. Also for non B&B guest I can fully recommend this place for its delicious plant based food. A somewhat hidden gem!

Pros: Broad choice, Balanced, delicious food, Open kitchen and staff

Cons: Music could be a bit less loud, Single toilet for restaurant

Amazing

The restaurant is completely vegan and switches up its menu every thew weeks, which for me was a interesting and new concept. It makes it possible to learn a lot of different countries typical food in a short time. The place is very nicely decorated and cozy and the staff will make you feel welcome. ✨

Pros: Cozy ambience , Great food , Nice staff

Great concept ✨

Please note that they’re completely vegan (not vegetarian)
Staff is super nice and helpfull ☺️ The food could be better. However, I was there at the time they were looking into the middle-eastern kitchen. I love the concept though!

Pros: Nice staff, Keep to timeframe on request, Vegan dessert

Cons: Not best food I’ve had

Amazing food

The place is cosy and warm, staff is kind too. The food is really, really good, and they have the international menu, I think they change it every month, and you can try "veganized" typical food inspired in different countrys, it's very interesting. Also, the weekend brunch is great!!!

Pros: Excellent food, Friendly staff

The place is beautiful and cozy, the candles and the ceiling glass makes total difference.
The staff is kind and attentive, they explained every dish for me.
I hope to return soon.

Pros: Delicious food, Cozy place, Good drinks

Sub par

Extortionate prices for what seems to be a very basic cookery school. €100 euros for 2x 3 courses of food you could cook at home. Service is good.

Excellent for vegan breakfast, brunch or a B&B stay!

Note, that it is a vegetarian restaurant, so not everything is vegan and when we were there often several vegan options on the menu were not available.

The vegan food that we had was really delicious, the location is very nice and the staff was lovely.

The B&B Hotel in the building as well as a few houses down the street is good price quality.

Keeps improving itself

When we're in this area, we try to grab dinner here. They change menus every 2-3 weeks so it doesn't get boring - if anything, it only gets better

Pros: Interesting menus , Nice drinks, Lovely garden

A cozy little restaurant with an original concept. It's a cuisine school with students coming from all over the world. The food and wine were great as well as the price.

Overpriced, bland food, small portions and lots and lots of waiting!

We had high expectations reading the positive reviews on HappyCow and were very excited when entering their lovely backyard, full of greenery. However, the experience quickly turned sour from there. We chose the set menu, which consisted of three tiny samosas for an entré, a small portion of millet and tofu as the main dish and a minuscule Indian dessert, which was very dry and bad tasting. We had to wait at least 30 minutes between each course and paid 80 euros for two persons - an excessive price given the quality and quantity of food. Antwerp has much better vegan restaurants to offer than this, please don’t waste your money.

Great variation, cheap

Very homely with friendly staff. You can choose for 1, 2 or 3 courses, the dishes are fixed. We came to eat during French week and had onion soup, something bourgignon with polenta and crème brulée. It was good and fresh, it missed some seasoning. The wine is fine as well, and there are several lesser commercial brands of non-alcoholic beverages. It was cheap: we paid less than 250 euros for 5 people, 3 courses each with wine and other drinks. We didn't quite understand their idea of sharing recipes, but we didn't really ask either.

One of the most cosiest places I’ve ever been to

Visited October 2020.
This restaurant seems to be fully vegan by now, not just vegetarian.
It is also a non-profit organisation and most of the employees only speak English as they work there for a couple of months e.g. when they’re studying here or travelling.
Our first reaction when one of the servants opened the door was: ‘What an amazing smell!’ The interior was warm and cosy, decorated with furniture in all kind of styles, but somehow it matched perfectly. With our group of six, we had a separate ‘room’ next to the window. They offer a weekly menu with soup as a starter, a main course consisting of different roasted veggies and salads, and two types of cakes and tarts for dessert. The girl who was serving us was very kind! We all took one of their homemade/house drinks which made some of us make some weird faces. I had the homemade kombucha which was really flavourful and acidic.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the soup, which was bell pepper-tomato & fennel, with some roasted pumpkin seeds on top. The main course was quite a large portion, for some of the kids it was a bit too much. The roasted butternut was definitely everyone’s favourite, followed by the zucchini and the quinoa. A little con i had was the red wine vinegar on the salad, which eventually spilled everywhere on the food, making the children not wanting to eat the rest.
The dessert was delicious, but sadly by then we all were full of the main course. Luckily we got to take the leftovers home.
Would come back, but maybe not with kids under the age of fourteen, as they are usually picky eaters.
See you next time!

Pros: Super duper cosy and warm interior!, Kind, interested and hardworking staff

Cons: Large portions -> small room for dessert :(, Less appealing to children

Very nice place for diner and brunch

We came here twice: once for dinner and once for brunch and we were very satisfied both times.
Dinner was a fixed menu, all vegan and all delicious. Apparantly the menu changes weekly and can be consulted on their facebook page.
Brunch was very extensive with both savory and sweet options.
They have a pleasant garden terrace in the back, weather allowing of course.
Staff was always very friendly and talkative, and the whole place had a very relaxed, laidback and international atmosphere (last time we went staff was Dutch, Equadorian and Portugese)

Pros: Tasty vegan food, Friendly staff, Quiet outdoor garden

Cons: Clothes can smell like “food” after dinner inside

Artist at work

Sunday brunch is an all-you-can-eat buffet. Everything is homemade, from the granola to the vegan frittata. So delicious! So many greens and fresh veg, Simone herself was there to point out the amazing vegan sauces and dressings. There were dairy options but mostly vegan. Apparently the weekly menu is all vegan. If it’s anything like the fantastic offerings today, you will be so happy you came!

Quite an experience

We didn't know what to expect exactly and were surprised when we had to ring the bell upon arrival. It seems as if you walk into someone's living room that was turned into a restaurant. We had a table in the garden, which is filled with plants. They have some large fig trees and grapes for own harvesting too. There was no menu to choose from: for drinks they brought their whole range to the table to choose from as they were changing their drinks, and for food they had 1 starter, 1 main dish and 1 dessert, all vegan and for the whole week it would be in the Italian theme they said. We tried all 3 dishes. The starter was a nice surprise: tomato-"mozzarella" (miso-marinated tofu) with a really tasteful basil-garlic-olive oil dressing and some herbs and flowers that I never had before as a garnish. The main was homemade gnocchi with beetroot, lots of greens, grilled pumpkin and carrot. Simple, but good. The dessert was a pear-chocolate cake with still a lot of bite in the pear and with a decent amount of salt inside. I actually liked it a lot. We paid €100 for 3 persons, drinks included and spent 2 hours there in total, which is both quite ok in my opinion. The staff was really friendly as well. Note that they are English-speaking: my grandma couldn't understand much, so I translated for her and the staff patiently waited in between the explanations and was happy to even give additional information about the concept and their food. It was quite an experience and I would be happy to return!

Not all vegan

The place is very nice and very friendly staff, the brunch costs around 25 euros all you can eat (which is not expensive for Belgium I have to say) but they advertise themselves as Vegans and this is not true at all. They had butter and egg dishes, even a salad with fish. So if you are looking for a truly plant-based place, unfortunately, it's not there.

Pros: Good Quality and Fresh food, Nice and cozy garden, Friendly staff

Cons: Not Vegan, Very informal treat (which might be good for some)

Simone's Kitchen

One of the better vegan restaurants in Belgium. I came here with a friend without a reservation, but the staff was creative enough to let us eat even tho they were fully booked. Every one of the staff members was super friendly and just fun to talk to.
The restaurant itself is amazing. The lights, little pieces of art and the big paintings will make sure you're not bored for a second while you're waiting for your food.
It was sometimes hard to understand my company, but that could have been because the restaurant was completely full.
There were a lot of alcohol-free options to drink, which is always fun for non drinkers.
The food itself was a little less than expected. It wasn't bad, but I just expected more from it. The loads of vegetables in combination with couscous were a little too easy in my opinion.
This minor point won't stop me from going again to this amazing place.

Pros: excellent service, good alcohol-free alternatives, wonderful restaurant

Cons: expected more of the food
