Great food and friendly service! - Edit
Simone’s Kitchen features a different country-inspired menu every month. I had the opportunity to stay here during the Lebanese menu, which was excellent and well-balanced. The restaurant is small, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where you can experience incredible hospitality from volunteers from all over the world who work there. I highly recommend this hidden gem!

Great vegan food (and sleep) base in Antwerp - Edit
We have been here several times before and the food is always great. They have very different but set menu that changes about once a month focussing on a certain international cuisine.
Read moreService is usually also great, they work with volunteers so sometimes they are very knowledgeable and sometimes less, but they help each other as well.
This time we had a very tasty Ethiopian food and for breakfast (we stayed in the B&B) we ordered (optional gluten free! ) pancakes and granola. Overall very nice vegan food and also a nice affordable B&B stay in Antwerp.
And often is not that occupied, so go and support this great initiative!

A unique culinary experience in Antwerp - Edit
Simone's Kitchen is unlike any other dining experience I've had. This concept restaurant, run by two talented head chefs, draws its inspiration from a truly global kitchen staff, all of whom volunteer their skills and infuse the menu with flavors from their own diverse cuisines. The ever-changing menu, which rotates every three weeks, ensures that each visit offers something fresh and exciting. During our visit, we were lucky enough to experience their Persian menu, and it did not disappoint.
Read moreFor €39, you can indulge in a four-course meal - fantastic value for the quality of the food. Unfortunately, due to time constraints (we had a show to catch), we had to cut our meal short and opted for three courses instead. We were a bit gutted to miss out on the nutty date pie for dessert, which sounded divine! But if there's one piece of advice I can offer, it’s this: don’t come here expecting fast food. The meals are carefully crafted, with a focus on mindful preparation and balanced flavors, so give yourself plenty of time to truly enjoy the experience.
Now, onto the food itself. We started with an eggplant and walnut dip paired with sesame flatbread—simple, healthy, and delicious. It was followed by a cold cucumber and yogurt soup, a dish that was unusual but perfect for a warm evening. Light, refreshing, and surprisingly satisfying. Our main course was a southern-style falafel served with green bean and mushroom rice, roasted pumpkin with sumac sauce, pomegranate-marinated olives, and a tomato and cucumber salad. While the falafel was a bit dry for my taste (perhaps it’s just the southern style), the roasted pumpkin and olives were absolutely delicious. The whole meal felt wholesome and left us feeling both full and nourished.
The service at Simone’s was just as impressive as the food. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, offering detailed descriptions of each dish and showing great understanding when we had to leave earlier than planned. The atmosphere was equally lovely—we sat outside in their romantic garden space, which was the perfect setting for such a thoughtful meal.
Simone's also offers a range of organic drinks, adding another layer of care to the dining experience. I’m already looking forward to returning when I have more time to fully savour the food—and to try a new menu, of course! If you're looking for a relaxed, one-of-a-kind dining adventure that celebrates slow, mindful cooking, Simone’s Kitchen is the place to go.

Surprisingly amazing! - Edit
When I think of vegan food, as a non vegan myself, I often stumble onto crazy things I've never seen and could never replicate in my own house. That didn't happen when trying the food in Simone's Kitchen. I found instead confort and delicious food, easy to understand and make and such a nice and cozy environment! Definitely a must try when in Antwerp, the food is so good you forget it's vegan, as in, it doesn't try to be a "vegan version" of something, it simply is the food and it amazes you! And the best part is: Always a changing menu, you get to be happily surprised every month with a different cuisine inspired by different countries!
