What a lovely place - Edit
I was there when the Chinese menu was served. All the courses were really tasty, but my favourite ones were the cauliflower & zucchini bites served with a sweet-sour sauce and the pinach & shiitake wontons in ginger broth. I also had a homemade kombucha with a light pineapple taste, which was one of the best kombuchas I have ever had. The architecture of the building is also really charming, and I was lucky to be able to sit outside on the cosy terrace on a warm night in September. The staff is super friendly and explains each dish in detail when they serve it.

I love the vibe of this place, it feels like a cosy living room and the food is super tasty! Simone’s Kitchen takes inspiration from seasonal produce and worldwide cuisines to create a well balanced four course menu. I loved chatting to the staff about their reason for volunteering. I had the pleasure of experiencing the Spanish-Italian and Chinese menu - both displayed great balance and thought.

Both servers working there have only been there for a week. They were so sweet and welcoming, a perfect match with the restaurant itself.
In the beginning you get a great explanation of their concept and with each course the dish is described again. Everyone take proper care of your comfort and well being, always checking on you. As for the 4 courses, they said some skip the first or last one because it might seem like a lot, but I think one person can pretty much handle all 4. Salt and pepper only gets served in small bowls with a spoon, I assume they don't have shakers?
The chips and dip were super good, a perfect combination.
The soup was my second gazpacho ever, my first was a failed selfmade, but this one was sooo refreshing and tasty on this warm summer evening.
Unfortunately I found the lasagna and tortilla a little boring and hard, these dishes could have been improved. But the aubergine was delicious!
Then you get asked if you want to wait a little longer with the dessert or if it's already to be prepared. I loved the taste of the catana, but had to use a second spoon to properly break the top layer, I found that very hard to eat. It's also unlucky if the layer burns, which this one did, and the black parts are simply unenjoyable. But I already gave them that feedback.
Sadly they were out of a lot of their drinks, so I went for a cappuccino with soy milk - definitely skip that. The coffee is quite watery and I'm not sure which milk brand they use, but I love soy, and this one wasn't tasty at all.
All in all - I had a pleasant evening with comforting food, a well balanced mixture between the italian and spanish cuisine. The staff is kind and the other guests arranged a calm vibe. I would 100% visit again, yet I think there's menu options which would suit my taste buds better. But I definitely did not want to miss out on coming here!

Cozy vegan organic restaurant - Edit
We had a wonderful meal at this cozy restaurant, housed in a 100-year-old mansion. In good weather, you can dine on the terrace.
Read moreAll the ingredients they use are organic and plant-based.
The menu changes every three weeks, each time with a different theme.
We were there on a summer evening in August 2025 and enjoyed a Mediterranean three-course meal with Spanish and Italian dishes.
The restaurant has a friendly atmosphere, and the staff is international and very friendly. English is the main language, and one of the waitresses spoke Dutch.

A lovely Hidden Gem 💎✨ - Edit
Tucked away in the middle of a windy street is a lovely vegan restaurant. The vibes are on point with the cozy house feel and nice music selection to put it all together ( very instagramable) The food is super unique and good, each month is a new selection inspired by a different country. They even make homage kambucha and iced tea ( yummy! ) The people are friendly and volunteers from different countries. Great hidden gem over all, check it out!
