Vegan sushi in intimate setting - Edit

What a nice surprise - Edit
We are not used to this amount of vegan sushi varieties! Best to try the biggest set and then order a smaller plater afterwards.

Had a lovely filling meal, ordered special set plus extras. Nice instrumental jazz plays whilst dining and watching the chefs work. Will visit again to try the other options

I also suggest ordering the take-out option for a small lunch for a day trip out (see photo)

Great sushi spot - Edit
We went for lunch and was super quiet. Both ordered lunch sushi platter and everything was really tasty. The place has a great, cozy vibe and staff were friendly. I loved the Tuna Cucumber one and my husband loved the mushroom ones. Would definitely come back!

Great sushi find - Edit
The restaurant is understated but stylish. You make orders with your phone so make sure it is charged. My partner really enjoyed the sushi, saying it was the best she's ever tasted.
Read moreI enjoyed it as well, but I expected a bit more with some of the flavours with some of the sushi I tried. The sake was great and the miso really delicious. We'd certainly come back again were it not for the exceptional variety of vegan restaurants in the city.

not so good - Edit
the restaurant is popular but booking asked for a japanese phone number so i couldnt book. we came early and despite the empty restaurant were seated in the small dungeon of a room where you have to sit on the floor which is uncomfortable and you feel squished.
Read morethe sushi is nothing comparable to vegan sushi in europe or US, it is just not tasty. i liked maybe one or two pieces. cold tofu is bitter but maybe thats the point. the rolls as well not good. i expected vegan sushi to be underdeveloped in japan and it is. the better one is in tokyo. prices still high and staff not very friendly.

The best sushi of our lives - Edit
We loved it. We'd go back if we were still in the city because it's the best vegan sushi we've tried in Japan. We were eager to try the rest, but what we did try was spectacular. We highly recommend the "cheese" and "omelet" sushi. The carrot "salmon" was also delicious.

Oishi sushi in Osaka - Edit
Beautifully presented and delicious vegan sushi.
Read moreWe had the miso soup, large sushi roll, ten piece plate and green tea.
All was perfect and prepared to perfection.
The restaurant was fully booked but they cleared a table for us so we didn't miss out. I recommend booking beforehand.
Pros: Delicious vegan food - no thought required. , Prompt and pleasant service.
Cons: Small space, so need to book ahead., It was pricey, but fair for the quality.

My favourite by far in Osaka - Edit
I wish I went to this place much sooner cos I would have gone back over and over. Vegan sushi and nigiri. This place has a nice, classy vibe, the staff are great and English menu is available with all the food description via a QR code. My favourites are the tofu oden (available only in winter), the salmon roe style nigiri, and the crab paste style nigiri. But everything I had really was so delicious. Of course, I could only eat so much so I did have the second of each pair I ordered left for me to take home and enjoy later.

Pros: All vegan sushi and nigiri, Great service , Great ambiance

Absolutely delectable vegan sushi - Edit
I very much enjoyed the vegan/vegetarian takes on what otherwise is usually meaty nigiri. The chef maintains that the star of the show are the toppings while maintaining the delicate dance between rice and focus. I can't tell you if what is presented tastes like what it may claim to be imitating, however what i can say is that it is bloody delicious, and it makes you feel truly special in that it is not just a cheap imitation, but heart and thought went into concocting these recipes.
Read moreDefinitely recommend and worth visiting.
Pros: Amazing food, The very chill and relaxed vibe, Location is actually easy to find
Cons: Limited seating, get in quick., One or two of the nigiri aint my jam, not a con
