The takoyaki is delicious - Edit
We shared a few dishes here for dinner- the takoyaki, 5 grilled sticks (baby corn, pumpkin, eggplant, shiitake and pickled ginger), the cucumber salad and the yakisoba. The takoyaki was incredible- my omnivorous partner said better than a non vegan/gf version he had tried earlier. The pickled ginger was a suprise favourite of the grilled sticks, a couple of the others were a bit average, and the yakisoba and the cucumber were both excellent.

Really nice restaurant! - Edit
Went to this beautiful restaurant. You can get some traditional japanese dishes, just made vegan. A lot of thought has been put into the restaurant’s ambience. The staff is super nice and very helpful. Only downside was that we had to wait a bit for our food, but it’s really no bother, because the dishes make it worth it.

Cosy restaurant - Edit
The "Takoyaki" was amazong! The "Earth meat cutlet bowl" was good too. When it comes to the "Kushikatsu" (fried vegetables) I can recommend the Shiitake mushrooms. The others we tried (earth meat, pumpkin, young corn and edamame) all tasted pretty boring.

Vegan Takoyaki is a must try - Edit
I had my dinner here on my first night in Osaka, walking distance from my hostel. The space is cozy and cute. The takoyaki is a must try! I also had the earthmeat cutlet bowl and vegan cheese (no photo, I ate it right away 😁), both are flavorful as well. The staff are pleasant too.

Good little find - Edit
We had a few nibbly things here last night. The Takoyaki was fantastic, the mushroom inside really replicated traditional takoyaki. The kushikatsu was generous in its serving too which was great for the price.

Lovely! - Edit
A wonderful hidden little place that we came across by chance. We ordered takeaway and were very happy about the vegan surprise in the middle of numerous meat restaurants. The food was delicious, we especially liked the takoyaki (better than the originals). The service was extremely friendly! We would love to come back!

Hidden gem - Edit
Have to walk down a dark alley (if you go at dinner time during winter), but then you find a great little spot. They serve vegan and gluten-free versions of Osaka classics such as okonomiyaki and kushikatsu. There is a friendly atmosphere, and they know enough English to tell you to use the QR code to order. Like others have said, they are light on the seasoning, so use the seasoning and salt and pepper on the table. The cost depends on how light of an eater you are. I had the okonomiyaki and kushikatsu, and that was barely enough for me. With a highball whiskey that set me back a little over 2000 yen, which isn't bad at all. If you are really hungry, you might be spending more.
Read moreBut I can recommend 6 it out if you are already in the shinsekai area around dinner time (the area isn't as bad as some people say and more interesting in the evening).
So do yourself a favor and check it out!
Pros: Good atmosphere , Friendly staff, Enough choices
Cons: Have to find the right alley. , Have to season the food yourself

You order via QR code on table. I opted for the takoyaki and yakisoba noodles. Both were really good. I also got an order of the caramel popcorn. It was good but kind of tasted a bit burnt.

Awesome takoyaki place! - Edit
Loved the takoyaki with cheese! The kushikatsu was good and was not greasy. There were a lot of options for it including some fruits like pineapple and Jack fruit in addition to vegetables, "earth meat", and beyond meat. The seasoning on the kushikatsu is light, but they give you different spices to add to your liking.
Read moreThe staff is very friendly. I don't think they speak a lot of English, but you order through QR code and they know enough to easily pay afterwards.
Honestly one of my favorite places I've been so far on my Japan trip! It's still pretty quiet since it's a bit hidden in an alley, but I hope getting all the great reviews on Happy Cow brings them a lot of business.

Bit of a letdown - Edit
The food was just OK. The skewers were a bit overly greasy and could do with some more seasoning. The takoyaki was bomb, though a little undercooked. With a few small tweaks I think this could be a real cool spot.

Ottima interpretazione della cucina tipica - Edit
Ottimo cibo. Versioni rivisitate di takoyaki, Tonkatsu e kushikatsu (soprattutto quello alla banana). Piatti saporitissimi, servizio rapido e amichevole. Consigliato come opzione veg nel quartiere

Great spot for vegan versions of traditional Japanese cuisine - Edit
It’s tucked down a cute little side alley. Takoyaki is a traditional dish made out of squid but this place did some vegan version and it was yum! Paid about 2500 yen for a little bowl of Takoyaki, 5 skewers, and a miso soup.
Read moreI generally eat a fair bit so wasn’t full after aforementioned food but it was swell.

Go now before it gets too popular!! - Edit
This is such a cute little spot with really friendly staff. Everything is vegan, the menu is in English and ordering via a QR code is easy. The skewers were the highlight for me but it was all delicious. It was quiet when we went, I think because it was so new, but that won't last because it's a lovely little vegan spot. Highly recommend!
