Filling, but not the most healthy!

//

I enjoyed most of what I ate, but I wouldn’t return likely for two reasons. Yes, the food is pretty salty and some of it tasted not the best. The sweet & sour “chicken” w/ low mein was a highlight I guess. The fruits and pastries (ask if vegan) were very good though, so I really liked those. This type of eatery for me would be an occasional visit, but nothing more.

Pros: Great service, Tasty fruits & vegan desserts, Cheap buffet (plus wifi for travelers!)

Cons: Not all food tasted good + salty, Should label foods

Know what you come for

If you're expecting either health foods, high end Asian cuisine, attention to detail, non msg or oil free food, go elsewhere.
If you stay you'll be blessed by lots and lots of Chinese food where you can eat until you faint, something that I missed as a vegan having loved Asian buffets for most of my teens. It's cheap, it's tasty, it's oily and although it's not the best food, I love this place.

Disappointing

We were offered soup upon entry which was tasteless, thin and disappointing.
There was a wide range of choices at this buffet restaurant, but many of the dishes were gluey and flavourless. The deserts too were boring and also falovourless.

Pros: No siesta here, so it is open for late lunch, Reasonable price, Wide range of choices

Cons: Tasteless, generally, Unconfortable seating, Unsuitable for disabled diners

Great food and staff :)

Loved this place! I came for when they opened so there was lots and choice and it was still warm. Soo tasty and the staff are lovely! Always really appreciate it when they can speak English ☺️

All you can eat!

I personally love the place. Yes it is greasy and unhealthy but that is exactly what you are looking for sometimes.
Also they have fresh salad options and the food overall is delicious!

Pros: Great food, Cheap

Great value and tasty food

I go here every time I'm in Madrid, it's one of my first stops. It's best to get there shortly after opening so you're getting the freshly cooked food. It's pretty much a lot of fried food so not for every day but there is a salad selection and some healthy options. It's great value and really filling. I find some staff members to be really friendly and others not so much but it doesn't really affect how I feel about the place. I'll be going back again and again for sure!

Pros: Mostly vegan, Good value

Cons: Toilets don't have locks on the doors

Dry, lukewarm and bland.

I was excited by the idea of an all-you-can-eat buffet after spending 12€ on vegan dishes all week... and the buffet looked good from afar.
But after tasting the food, it was all lukewarm, dry and had no taste whatsoever despite bathing in sauce... I enjoyed nothing but the fake caramelized pork...
So yes, it is cheap and you get a lot of food for your money but after walking out I didn't feel satisfied but rather disgusted

Pros: Cheap

Cons: No taste, dry, Unhealthy

Fantástico!

Buffet libre con todo lo que haya podido “echar de menos”. No-cerdo agridulce, no-ternera... Varias clases de rollitos, pan chino... En fin... Emocionadísima he salido de allí.

Quick Buffet and Away - Set Up For The Day

Good value self-service buffet with a reasonble choice of dishes including mock meats. The cooking is fine; nothing highly memorable. Amazing and really convenient to find this restaurant is so centrally located in Madrid.

The website seems to suggest you can also order more specific dishes from a menu, but when we went we were told that only the buffet was available and given the impression there was never a menu. So unsure how this works.

Pros: Very central location, Good mock meat options

Cons: Cooking average to good

Good vegan buffet

It is one of the best asian restaurant in town and vegan. It is a good buffet with many different vegan options, you never get borrowing.

Pros: You can combine vegan dishes as much as you can., Very good food for a good price.

Cons: Don't good if you aren't starving

All you can eat

Very popular with local vegans. Eat as much as you like chinese food and nearly all vegan apart from some desserts. Very unheathy with lots of MSG but yes all you can eat

Decent Asian Vegetarian with Fake Meat

All you can eat buffet. Food is pretty tasty - in my view, comparable to the average of this genre that you would find in Hong Kong or Singapore, i.e., very good for Europe :).

There are many dishes so you can sample many different things. When I went there were many Chinese dishes and some Japanese dishes, including sushi. Lots of fake meat, and quite a few non fake meat dishes.

They have some vegan grocery items for sale including fake meat and seafood, and soymilk.

I was able to communicate with the staff just fine in English. The staff we very cheerful.

Also, it seemed to me that all the diners in the restaurant were reusing their plates to get more food. Just a tip for people who may think they need a new plate for each round at the buffet.

Pros: Vegan except for some deserts (clearly labeled), Many options, inexpensive, cheerful staff, "Sin gluten" - unusual for fake meat places

Cons: some people may be put off by fake meat

Good experience

It's a great chinese buffet with both vegan and vegetarian dishes at a low price (€ 9.90 plus drinks). It's perfectly located in the city centre and a good alternative to eat, though quite unhealthy.

Pros: Cheap, great location, variety of dishes

Cons: Unhealthy, small selection of vegan desserts

Fatty salty fake meat

I understand why this is not everyone's cup of tea. It's not all vegan, the food is not healthy, it's very fatty oily salty and I bet they use a lot of glutamate. But I like. I was never a huge fan of meat, even when I was still eating it but these fake meats I like. I also like to eat a lot so a buffet is a good option to me.
Go if you like fatty food and go when you are hungry.

Pros: Tasty fatty food

Cons: Unhealthy

Chinese Buffet

Just the (almost) vegan alternative to the typical chinese buffet. Almost everything is vegan but some desserts, tasty, lots of dishes and very cheap. Not very healthy since they cook with lots of oil for my taste, but its a good alternative for those days that you feel so hungry and don´t want to spend a lot of money. You can find salads, sushis, tempura and all of the typical shinese dishes (duck, etc) in the vegan version.

Pros: cheap, very good location, Lots of dishes, Tasty

Cons: oily food, not very healthy

Oily vegan chinese food

First time I came here to try the buffet I couldn't believe my luck. Everybody talks wonders about this place and apparently I happened to go the day that the food wasn't as good as usual.

All the "fake meat" tasted the same to me, most of the food was cold and it felt really hard to digest.

So I decided to go a second time and I got the same impression.

Furthermore, it's a bit shocking to find products with E-120 and gelatin in a "vegetarian" place. Even some desserts like the chocolate cake, which tastes nice, has this sprinkles that usually have animal ingredients on it.

It is cheap tho if you like to eat a lot and try different stuff.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Everything tastes the same, Oily, Non veg- products

All you can eat chinese at 9.90 euros

Quality wasnt amazing, a bit too oily, but this place offers something difficult to find in Madrid, all you can eat vegan buffet, and chinese vegan food. The experience was nice, the place is very big, so you can bring all your friends here. Even if i didn't like the food too much I'd give it a second opportunity

Mainly

Shi Shang offers an "eat as much as you can" lunch deal with a large variety of dishes. Most of the stuff is vegan, except for the desserts which are conveniently labelled.

The stars of the buffet are mainly fried food (there is tempura, spring rolls, some kind of fried dough balls, ...) and many different mock meats (sweet and sour "pork", beef, chicken, ...). It also has a sushi selection and some fresh veggies.

The food is tasty and really filling. The staff is also quite friendly.

I would prefer if it had a larger selection of noodles and rice dishes.

Pros: Tasty food

Cons: Small selection of rice and noodles

Really nice

If you're into vegan chinese buffet restaurants, you'll find it great, if you're not it may not be the one for you. Almost everything is vegan and the vegetarian options are labeled so it's easy not to make a mistake.
The staff is not very close to clients but they're efficient for sure.

Pros: Plenty of vegan options

Vegan Chinese food

If you like Chinese, cheap restaurants this place is for you. Everything is vegan (excluding some desserts), have a great selection of faux meats, one tastes better other less, but in general the place is worth of being visited, especially because is a buffet-style that is really cheap, even in the evenings.

Pros: Chinese food, all you can eat

Rude and unwelcoming

It doesn't matter if you eat here every day, and that you are the only one in the restaurant half the time, the staff are rude and clearly do not want your business. Also opens late every day. Ate here frequently, but had enough of the attitude. Won't be back.

Cons: Rude.

Great Chinese buffet in Madrid!

This is a great place for vegans - the food is authentically Chinese and the buffet has a good variety of options. A couple of desserts contain dairy, but these are clearly marked. The staff does not speak much English, but enough to get by. The only thing that bothered us was that they gave us two smaller bottles of water instead of one large one, which would have been cheaper. If you want water, ask for the large bottle. Other than that small thing, it's a great place to eat.

Pros: Good variety of choices and savory buffet is all v, Dairy desserts are clearly labeled and vegan desse

Cons: Ask for a large bottle of water instead of two sma
